We happened onto this great little osteria on oir first day in Venice. We were looking for a cute place to enjoy a drink. Osteria Santa Fosca is a bit off of the more touristy areas. It is located on the edge of a canal with outside seating. A very beautiful place to enjoy an Aperoal spritz. The inside seating was also charming, but in a beautiful afternoon the outside tables are perfect.
The spritz were perfect. At a fair price of 5 Euros each.
The staff very friendly.. our waiter Mario was just great.
We returned here every afternoon at about 5 pm for our afternoon cocktails.. we could not find another place as inviting.
On our final evening we also decided to have dinner there.
The food was delicious and several euros cheaper than any other nearby locations. Spaghetti pomadoro was 10 euros.. elsewhere we saw it for 3-15 euros. We had their tasty tiramasu.. it was the best we tasted in Venice.
Santa Fosca will remain as a very fond memory of our trip to Venice read more
