My wife got some tacos and were happy with them as well. But I'd recommend the burritos - tasty and filling! It was pretty hot the day we came, but there is a covered seating area, so eating outside was bearable. It became a little crowded when we were done, so I'd recommend coming a little earlier, if possible, so you can actually have somewhere to sit. It's also a good option to take to-go as well. The service was fine, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. With the food options around here not being top-notch, we were glad to find a solid and reasonably-priced burrito place that was filling.

This place is a food truck right outside of the park that has some outdoor shaded seating. I ordered the fajita burrito with carne asada ($13.50) and like others have mentioned the burrito was huge! I liked the fajita peppers in the burrito along with the good carne asada meat. I don't know if it was because I was starving but I ate and finished the burrito faster than I ever have in my life. It's not going to be the best Mexican food ever but for a touristy spot and for its proximity to the park it's a good option if you want to get away from the typical burgers and American fare. For me it hit the spot for sure and gave me the energy to go back into the park to go on more hikes that day.

Our VRBO host recommended this local Mexican place downtown Columbia Falls…read more Chips, perfect crunch and thin, salsa had good flavor, but a bit watery. The enchilada tricolor plate is ginormous and DEFINITELY can be shared. The pork enchilada with verde sauce was my favorite but I also enjoyed the shredded chicken with mole well. The cheesy enchilada was simply way too cheesy, could've passed. I will say the Spanish rice is probably the best rice I've ever had. Refried beans were lovely. My partner got the steak fajitas quesadilla and it was soooo good also. Large portion of guacamole came with it. Huckleberry margarita was quite sweet, but my Tajin rim definitely helped balance that out. Ambience was lovely! -1 star for service, unfortunately. It took quite some time for our server to greet us, never brought water, and wasn't attentive.

Vaqueros was a quick location search for restaurant near our Airbnb and we were in for a surprise…read more Food, service and ambience were great. Pollo crema was smooth, well prepared and lip smacking good. The Expresso burrito was delicious, red sauce on top was okay. I really liked the Horchata- refreshing flavour, tried it for the first time. Mexican coffee was nice. Portion size are massive. Dedicated parking spots for restaurants, it's a huge parking lot. Best Mexican food I have had by far! If you are in or near Glacier National park do not miss on Vaqueros at Columbia Falls.

Based on my experience, I'll be passing on that recommendation to other people going forward as well. Located about halfway between Pincher Creek and the Waterton park gates, The Twin Butte Country General store is an unassuming roadside attraction. From the outside, it would be easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for, but on the inside is one of the best tex-mex restaurants I've been to in Alberta. Service is friendly and fast. Our appetizers arrived very quickly after ordering and main courses soon after we were done with the first course. At a glance, the menu doesn't have many vegetarian options but most things can be made veggie on request if you like cheese, rice, and beans. I ordered a single enchilada with rice and beans on the side and it arrived smothered in delicious salsa and cheese. My husband also really enjoyed the fish tacos. It can get busy so reservations are recommended. We didn't have one and were lucky to snag the last table, but I won't be chancing it next time. I'd hate to miss out!

We have walked by this place so many times, had always said we'd try it, but never had since there…read moreare so many great options for dining in Whitefish. However, there are not many options open around lunchtime on a Sunday in Whitefish that aren't meat heavy, fried bar food, so this place was really the one option that looked good to us. Upon walking in, I was actually very impressed with the warm and inviting atmosphere. The exterior of the building looks a bit rough, but the interior is a classic, approachable sit down restaurant. First win of the lunch - they have fresh brewed ice tea! Yay! I ordered the shrimp tacos and my partner ordered mahi-mahi. We both asked for rice without thinking what kind of rice it was going to be..... Anyway, the food came out quickly and the shrimp tacos were delicious, and my partner really enjoyed his mahi, which he said was seasoned nicely. Overall, we had a great lunch. But, why only 4 stars? It's the rice that caused me to dock this place one star. I know that in more Cuban style food they serve white rice, but serving plain white rice with tacos just didn't make me happy. I really wish they had Spanish/Mexican rice. Would we come back? Yes, if in the area at lunch time, it's a solid choice for a sit down meal.

I really hope this was an off night but might've been one of the worst meals I've ever had. Off the jump, the bar/restaurant smelled absolutely terrible when I arrived. The staff was decently friendly but not very fast. I went with the fish tacos. -4/10. Tortillas were uncooked/cold. Literally only ingredients were bad tortillas, cole slaw, chunk of fish, and a sauce. (I asked for no cilantro) Scrap this whole recipe and start over please. Slight redemption with decent chips and queso, the salsa was just watered down tomatoes. In all my time in Mexico, Cali, Texas, and Miami those tacos made me sad. I hope to visit Mama Blancos again one day and give them a shot at redemption!
