We ended up coming here twice during our trip because it was that good! On our first visit, we asked the person working what they recommended, and they immediately said the barbacoa and chicken tacos. Another employee overheard and agreed, so I went with the chicken, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We came back again on Tuesday, and this time I ordered one barbacoa taco and one chicken taco. Both were easily 10/10. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd give a slight edge to the chicken, but honestly, you can't go wrong with either. Fresh, flavorful, and definitely one of the best taco spots we found in Whitefish. This is a taco Tuesday experience in whitefish. Every Tuesday the VWF Hall has a taco night with gourmet tacos for two dollars a piece. The bar has a crazy local vibe to it and I like the ambience of this place with a lot of locals mixing with a few tourist like us providing a fun atmosphere. The tacos were delicious. We enjoyed a variety And basically tried each kind that they had. All were very good. Highly recommended. Even when google maps say they are open, the will be closed. I have walked over on my lunch break the last six times & they have been closed for no apparent reason. Went on Taco Tuesday ($2 tacos) Did not know what to expect but dragged my wife's family from Missoula here while visiting Granny in Whitefish. We ordered from the order counter with the view of the busy kitchen, and found a seat at the VFW bar. Very much a locals vibe but people were inviting and bartenders were great and so were the pours (5 stars for Star our bar tender). Whitefish is quite possibly the best little ski town on gods green earth. These tacos are - like the rest of this town - a gift from above. My fav is the barbacoa - even the vegan ones are incredible .... And the fact that it's integrated into the VFW makes it the coolest community joint especially on taco Tuesday. The whole town turns out. The lines are as long as chair 1, but the food comes fast so fear not. Plus you meet cool folks in line and can buy tee shirts themed around skiing. Win/win. I wish they would learn to make their own tortillas - but I get why they don't. It's hard and I am not sure the locals would care. A+! read more

The service was top notch. Friendly, helpful and efficient. I tried the barbacoa taco and the Korean barbecue taco. The barbacoa was delicious and my favorite. The Korean has hoisin sauce which was good - but it is a little sweet. I will definitely be back to try the others. read more

These tacos are good - so the place is well named. So that you know, the front door of this place can be tricky to find. It's tucked around the side of a VFW hall. Extremely casual, it's connected to a bar with a pool table and I think some slot machines. You order at a counter in the back, and help yourself to water. Holy moly, the food was so good. Landed late, needed food, stopped in. First time. Ordered fish tacos and a backup braised beef quesadilla in case either wasn't edible.
