This is by far the best fast food I've ever had! It's shwarma-esq and north indian-esq and east…read moreafrican-esq, but it's definitely amazing! I had the samosa and Channa(chickpeas), the samosa was made fresh, fried up right in front of me, filling was soft and fluffy with sliced potatoes- not the gross mash that has become standard fare for samosas. And the wrap was a perfect balance of crispy and chewy- none of that search where the filling ends and the wrap begins. The chickpeas, I've never had them like this before. Don't know what's in it, but I feel there might be some kind of marination magic. My friends had the beef shwarama and chicken shawarma. It was a true shaved beef shwarama like you get in the East and full of flavour. The chicken is finely balanced in unique blend of spices, flavourful but not overwhelming. The owners are wonderful people, proud Guelphites, and doing justice to the community they serve. Strike up a conversation and they'll be sure to point out great spots to visit, and things to do! And don't worry about your wallet, prices are between $8-10, so even if all you can find is change in your car or bag, you'll still be able to get a great meal out of it! We'll be regulars here whenever were driving nearby. Even a 1 hour detour is worth the visit. I guarantee you'll not find a place this unique, food this wonderful, and owners so proud of their city, and prices so affordable!

Such a wonderful place to have a meal. Absolutely every aspect of our meal was excellent:…read more We tried the dip sampler and my friend had the chicken schwarma platter. The dips were all delicious and rich, and the pita was fresh and warm. The garlic aioli was also strong and creamy. The atmosphere was very family friendly with an almost cafeteria-like feel. Very casual and comfortable environment, with fast and easy service. The washrooms also surprised me with tampons and pads for anyone who needed one. All in all, food was authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

I remember trying it (takeout) years ago but this is the first time I came in for dine-in. I love the cozy interiors and aesthetics. Decor is nice especially the booth seatings. Menu has a wide variety of options to choose from, but we opted for the family platter since it seemed like the best option for sharing. Portion was quite generous and a decent amount to share. We got the BBQ chicken ($74.99) which came with either rice or fries (or you could do half/half), salad of your choice (we opted for fattoush), 2 dips of your choice (we chose baba ghanoush & muhammara), 4 fresh pitas & a whole chicken. Restaurant has a lot of parking and seating. Staff were nice but it was a bit of a slow service (had to constantly ask for things, such as cutlery, plates, etc). The washroom had the A/C on blast and it was freezing cold but at least it was clean. Now for the food - everything we had was pretty good. I usually don't like garlic sauce but the one that came with the food was pretty creamy and delicious. As for the baba ghanoush, it didn't taste like it but it still had a nice flavour. The Muhammara was amazing, not overly spicy. As for the fattoush, I found it just OK. I've had better ones elsewhere and I find that it lacked the crispy pita bites, as there was only a few. However, it's worth noting that the chicken took around 30-40 minutes to be ready, which I didn't mind because it came well seasoned and well done. It was not too dry, but not juicy either but seasoned well. The rice was also ok and I like that the food wasn't too greasy, but the plate came with way too many onions... I'd recommend this spot and would come back if I'm ever in the area. Would love to try other dishes on the menu.

The service was pretty good, and we got to sit outdoors on the patio on a beautiful sunny day - one simply can't ask for a better dining experience. One complaint from a couple in our party was the coffee tasted and smelled like dish soap. I didn't order coffee myself but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to run an extra cycle of rinsing before serving with those mugs.

In spite of the time told to us by the hostess. It was our first time there. Our orders were placed. Yet the food seemed to take a long time to get to our table. Meanwhile others got seated after us and their food was out to them, shortly after they sat and ordered. Catfish burger 11/10. Portobello mushroom burger 7/10. It seemed to be missing something. Salads were phenomenal 10/10. Mac'n'cheese, another 10/10. And I never eat that. At all, it was really, really good. Top of the line. The staff were friendly, yet I couldn't help but notice how it seemed our table lacked attention in getting served. I dont know if its because my friend and I were out of towners. I asked twice for hot sauce that was actually given to our table from a different server than the one who took our order. And she was the second person I asked. Mind you it was fairly busy and I understand that. I appreciated learning of the history of the restuarant. In it being originally a bakery and then taken over by the son-in-law. Maintaining the quality and integrity of the food coming out of the kitchen. Definitely nice to hear and not something experienced often in the big city. My friend and I live in Toronto. The washroom I felt was a little close to the dining area. I think there needs to be some more separateness between the dine area, the washrooms and the kitchen. Smells tend to linger. I also didn't enjoy how they use billybee honey instead of a local one. Aside from that. Great restuarant with a wonderful mission. Will likely return.
