Great experience trying Uzbek food for the first time! The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful décor that creates a cozy, intimate setting. We ordered the cheburek with meat, hummus with fresh tandoor bread, kaverma laghman (the egg noodles and beef were absolutely delicious!), and the fried beef dumplings. Every dish was flavorful and worth ordering. We ended the night with tea and honey cake, which paired perfectly together. We also tried the lava cake, but it just wasn't our favorite. Definitely a restaurant we'll be coming back to. The perfect spot for a relaxed date night. read more

Wow, what a great Uzbekistan restaurant. Dined here for lunch based on a recommendation from a friend. Brought the family and we feasted like a king. This is only the second time we've tried Uzbek food and it did not disappoint. We loved Chayana Oasis in Surfside and while Osh Tea room has a more limited menu, it is equally as delicious. For starters we had the Samsa with meat (I didn't even get to take a photo before they were devoured by the fam), the Samsa with Pumpkin, and the tandoori Bread. The Samsa was light, and flaky reminding me of the Indian lacha paratha but these were pastry stuff with either choice of lamb meat or pumpkin. Both were excellent. The lamb wasn't too game-y and was spiced perfectly. The tandoori bread was absolutely huge. It looks like a flying saucer but it was so fluffy on the inside. A good hearty bread that is super crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. Next up came the Tashkent Wedding Pilaf and the server suggested the tomato salad to go with it. The tomatoes were thinly sliced and lightly spiced which was perfectly refreshing and light to balance out the rice pilaf. The rice was perfectly al dente, a nice contrast to the tender and juicy lamb sitting atop the pilaf. It was absolutely delicious. My only gripe is that there was very little lamb in the dish and the portion itself was smallish compared to Chayana Oasis but the dish was so flavorful that it almost made up for the lack of meat. Still would like to see a more balanced portion of meat to rice ratio. The rice pilaf was followed by the chicken shawarma which in contrast was a huge portion. The wrap was thin and crispy on the outside and the shawarma filling was quite different from other chicken shawarmas I've had before. It was stuffed with chicken, red cabbage, tomatoes, lettuce and some sauce. It was a little plain tasting but it was also served with a spiced mayo which I didn't like. Overall, it was good, just different. Onto the next dish, we had the Kovurma Lahgman, which was a noodle based dish. It resembled a Chinese lo mein but Uzbek Style, and the lamb and chicken kebabs. Everything was cooked to perfection. The kebabs were seasoned well and was tender and juicy. Overall, everything we had was a hit. Totally recommend this place if you are looking for something different than the usual mainstream cuisines. It recently opened up and I'm glad it's so close to me. Will definitely make a return visit! read more

Great experience on a Saturday evening. Small, cozy place with a few patrons.. ordered the chicken shawarma and a rib eye skewer. I believe the appetizer brought to table was Samsa with meat which was fresh, flakey, and flavorful! The small chicken shawarma was a giant portion, enough to split for two.. food was quickly prepared and delicious! The rib eye skewer was also tender and very good. No complaints here besides my preference for ice water over room temperature water and juice they served but I also didn't ask for ice so maybe that's on us.. definitely worth checking out! read more

Extremely disappointing and misleading. We ordered three portions of plov and three salads for takeout. Since everything was packed in sealed bags, we trusted the restaurant and didn't open the containers until we got home. What we found was shocking. Each portion had only one small piece of meat placed on top, and there was absolutely no other meat mixed into the rice. It was basically a container full of rice with a single piece of meat for decoration. This is not plov--it's just rice. We paid for three meat dishes and received three containers of mostly rice. It honestly feels like the restaurant intentionally skimps on takeout orders because customers usually don't inspect the food before leaving. Completely unacceptable. Very poor value for the money. We won't be coming back and would not recommend this place. read more

Never having tried Uzbek cuisine, my Miami friends decided on this option of the litany to choose from in Downtown Hollywood - and was was indeed a delicious choice! From the Tandoori Bread (a bit salty), to the wine, to the skewers (Lamb & Liver, so yes, you can mix and match!) it was all so tasty! The best part is that it was much more affordable than what was expected - especially with how beautiful the interior decor was. The server was also attentive and did a great job hyping up the food. Excellent uzbek food! Woud highly recommend for gourmets,, who appreciate the real authentic eastern cuisine. I had 2 Chebureck ( pastery with meat like empanada, but much better ) and Loghman ( soop/stew ) which was my favorite. My wife had some eggplant apetizer ( I forgot the name) and manti ( meat dumplings -very jucy , big ) I also had 2 beers and my wife had a glass of red wine. Their menue is relatively broad with very reasonable prices( which I liked) The service was great and waiting time was surprisingly enough to half my first beer. Our waitress was very pleasant and professional. Her name is Marina ( from Ukraine). All diner with tips cost for us 97$ Where else you can have such a package: nice food and atmosphere, very good service. I have never tried Uzbek food so I was very curious to come here. The service was fine but they aren't warm or friendly. I ordered the Samsa with pumpkin and it was the star of the show for me. My friend ordered the wedding pilaf and he said it was flavorful but it did seem a little sparse in the ingredients and quantity. I ordered the lamb kebab, I wish I would've been told that rice wasn't included because I received just a single lamb kebab. It was good but a very meager portion. And to end the meal we had dessert (I was still hungry as you can imagine). For dessert we tried the honey cake and it was okay. It reminded me of little Debbie snack cake. Idk if it was the flavor or texture that made me think of them lol Overall, I did enjoy what I ate. read more

cute little place. was very empty when we came in, albeit it was a Wed night. the food was ALL very good - although I have to say I'm not an expert on Uzbeck food. It's an interesting mix of middle eastern, Chinese, and Middle Eastern flavors. We got the lamb shank, the kavurma lagman, the dumplings (mandi) and some of the puff pastries. I ordered delivery from this place. I had horrible experience! I paid around $120 After two hours l received just a HALF of my cold food, and quality was terrible. Only bread was okay.
