Nice local place that's open late. We arrived around 9:30-20pm and it was still very busy. We both had blue cheese burgers, french fries and onion rings. This is a locals hangout as well as a few tourists staying in the Windy Hill area. The food is pretty on point with bar food. Large, greasy portions. I have tried the burgers and fish sandwich....both decent. The one gripe which took a star away is that you smell horrible after visiting! We were seated at 7:30. We did not get our food until 9:45. I understand problems as well as certain days of the week that are busier than others but our experience was unacceptable. I requested the manager. He came to out table and said we were to expect this type of wait. First I heard of it because we would not have stayed had we known. Great little local joint. I don't quite get the decor, but that was really secondary. We went in for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Crowd was light. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered a pub pretzel to start. It was just a microwaved soft pretzel, nothing fancy. Then we split the Oscar's Club. We did the $1 surcharge for a shared plate so we got more fries and cole slaw and an extra plate. The sandwich was good. It was massive, though, and I definitely could not eat it as it was - I took it apart and basically ate it in two parts. I really only ate the turkey/ham/lettuce side. The toasted Italian bread was soft and chewy. The fries were hand cut, fresh, and hot. As I said, the service was friendly, and our order was taken and prepared promptly. Found out about this place via Yelp and had a great family dinner here last night! It's not too touristy, which is nice. Definitely good for kids - ton of collectibles to look at on the walls, including Disney characters and pez dispensers. Food was really good. The onion rings were some of the best we have had, the grouper sandwich was delicious, and the Philly cheesesteak was awesome! I ordered a side of the Mac n cheese to split with my two small children. It was so good that I had to order another one after tasting it. I did not care for the wings. They seemed small and a little in the dry side for the price. Others in our group got appetizers, burgers, and fish sandwiches. The apps were good and those that got burgers enjoyed them. Was here the first time on a charity ride for the Humane Society and returned when one of the other riders told me how amazing their steak and cheese sandwich is. Our waitress was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When she was not completely ignoring us, she would roll her eyes as if she couldn't be bothered to take an order. Was looking for a place with some good chicken wings before the football games and I found it I like mine hot so they allow you to split your order with 2 different wing flavors the hityaki is on point my wife had the chicken philly when our waitress brought it to the plate she was like how many people are suppose to eat this it was so big. I only go at night to sit at the bar and play trivia. The bar staff knows how to treat customers and never make you wait too long even if they are busy. Stopped in here because it was one of the few restaurants open past 10PM. Was pleasantly surprised with the place. I got the Tuna Steak with fries and salad and it was very satisfying. The tuna was cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. My mother was also pleased with her salad. Our server Lindsay was very nice and attentive. Oscar's just became one of my favorite places to eat in Myrtle Beach! I stumbled on it when I was looking for (non-chain) places to get wings while on vacation. The place had a nice little hole in the wall feel to it. Service was excellent (although the place was pretty dead while we were there). The waitress greeted us quickly, got our drinks and order to us quickly and checked on us several times during the meal. The price was great! 50 cent wings Tuesday/Thursday from 2-4pm with as many flavor choices as most "wing places" have. Plus many other delicious sounding menu item. We got the pick 3 appetizer with fries, fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks. Fries and pickles were good. It only came with 2 mozzarella stickers...but these were mozzarella sticks on steroids! Freakin' huge! And cooked perfectly on the outside and gooey cheese all the way through. For the wings we settled on mild buffalo, spicy buffalo, lemon pepper and garlic parmesan, plus a pepperoni pizza for the picky kid. The pizza looked good and she enjoyed it. As for the wings, they were on the larger side. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The mild were perfect for my wife who doesn't do very spicy food. The spicy could have been a little spicier (I'd probably call those medium), but still had a good flavor. The lemon pepper were good and the garlic parmesan were excellent, buttery, garlicky, parmesan-ey. So as you can see here, my only complaint is that the spicy wings could have been spicier and saucier. But for 50 cents each, I can live with that. And there's a good chance I'll be back to try one of their "Pittsburgh style" sandwiches before we head home. read more

Good bar. I do find it weird how heavily they support the Steelers considering its in South Carolina but I guess being from Boston I'm just use to having really good hometown teams to support. Either way good wait staff from the 2 times I've been. Chicken wings ordered extra crispy are some of the best you'll find absolutely anywhere. A few of the other appetizers are delicious like the fried pickles and broccoli cheddar bites. I would have given the place a 5 star without any questions if I didn't witness one of the weirdest things in any restaurant I've ever been to. The hostess' after punching out from their shift sat at the bar and started drinking. It was extremely unprofessional to see the same people who had seated us getting rowdy drunk at the bar. Couldn't see finishing the Oscar special so I didn't order it. A Dagwood type overkill. Got the Oscar combo which actually fit in my mouth. Good hand cut fries, never frozen.
