I am utterly shocked by the positive reviews for this establishment. The service and food were appalling, and I'm bewildered as to how this restaurant remains in business. It's an insult to Italian cuisine and Italians alike, making even the Olive Garden seem like a five-star dining experience in comparison.
To begin with, there were black specks in my white wine. The service was extremely slow, even by French standards. It took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our food. (Note - the restaurant had hardly any customers at the time). When the dishes finally arrived, they were disappointing, to say the least.
The carbonara was particularly dreadful. The bacon pieces were burnt to a crisp, imparting a bitter flavor throughout the pasta. Additionally, the waitress made a mistake with our order and brought the wrong dish. When we politely pointed this out, she became visibly upset. This left us wondering if she might have tampered with our food out of spite.
The macaroni with prawns was another disaster. The dish was overwhelmingly lemony, with an excessive amount of breadcrumbs that made every bite crunchy. It should have been called "breadcrumbs with some rigatoni and a few shrimps," as it was mislabeled as macaroni.
Finally, when asking for the check, I had to call out to the waitress loudly, yet she ignored me, leaving me dumbfounded.
Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience I've had in France and quite possibly one of the worst in my life. read more
