Fernandez is probably the most telling about what a great connection he can have with one of his patients.

Got in a registered with their easy to use text alert. Got an x-ray quickly and evaluated by the doctors and pretty much knew what it is but needed to be evaluated with an MRI and PT. Great staff! Unknown why 5 stars. It's a doctors office of course bills gotta be paid.

*** UNION OFFICE ONLY***…read more Went to the one in Union and was disgusted. The orthopedist sat me down sent me to his guys or wanted to and when I asked if I could go to where I felt comfortable he was very dismissive. I got the MRIs went to him and said here the MRIs he glanced over them and said yeah you need to go to physical therapy. 5 minutes when I wouldn't go to his people he was very dismissive. Went back, told him the physical therapy wasn't really working he said you need to see a pain management specialist. 5 minutes again he gave me names that were an hour and a half away from my home I said what about summit medical and I was dismissed. Then what I'm filling out my disability form, he's the only one that doesn't fill out the form. The office response was you are no longer a patient he has no obligation to fill this form out for you. Only when I copied my attorney in the email did I get any answers from them and then they sent it 4:00 p.m. the day before the claim was to be closed. Claim was closed and denied. I have to start all over again all because of them. Stay as far away from them as possible!

I asked the receptionist how long a wait there would be (as I had a painful foot issue) and after checking she said about 45 minutes. I couldn't imagine standing in a hot waiting room for that amount of time. The very nice gentleman in the wheelchair offered to try to maneuver his wheelchair so I could get to the blocked seat. Anyhow, when I decided to leave I was asked if I wanted to reschedule??? What? I was scheduled. Don't schedule so many appointments near the same time to try to avoid this issue. At least offer me some room to sit in instead of having me stand for a long amount of time. I did like the doctor, but it is not worth it if I have to stand in a hot room for with an aching foot/ankle.

Loved my visit to Dr. Isaacson's office! Located at a pretty convenient spot near the 6 train…read more I'm always super nervous when I see a doctor in the US, since there are just way too many things that could go wrong (especially insurance issues...The last time I visited another podiatrist, the receptionist tried to charge me over $250 for a quick consult!), but this was a great visit! The receptionist was SUPER friendly and nice (though I think the office manager was out sick that day...so not sure who was there, but it was the same person that took my blood), and I got to see the doctor within 20 minutes of being there. Dr. Isaacson makes you feel really comfortable and makes sure that all of your concerns are addressed. He also keeps the conversation light, so you kind of forget about being nervous :) When they took my blood, it was also super fast and painless, even though I don't have the easiest veins haha (props to the nurse!). There was no fuss about how much my copay was, which was a relief! Glad they took the time to really check out my insurance and make sure everything was OK.

This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had in a doctor's office. Let me list everything…read morethat happened: 1. Call for an appointment. They tell me I can't get in for TWO months. I wait. Go to appointment. Wait, what appointment? Yeaaaa, apparently they magically had all of my contact information (although I'd never been there in my life) but they didn't have an appointment on file. 2. They called me three THREE times to ask if I have insurance in 2 days. This tells me that they do not communicate at all in the office. 3. Finally saw the doctor and he's nice enough. He tells me to call back if my medication at a different dosage is cheaper at the pharmacy and he would call it in for me. It was. And WOW. I talked to them three times on the phone and went into the office TWO times to get it changed. 4. When I went into the office for the second time trying to get it changed, I went to the first desk. The women was on the office phone talking to someone in her family about her plans after work and what kind of transportation she was going to use. She finaly acknowledges me and says "Step down one, sweetie." I'm not your sweetie. I go to the next woman in line and she completely and blatantly ignores me while she looks at her computer. A full 2 minutes goes by and I finally see the boss. Thank GOD, cause that's the only way I've gotten any service from these wenches. 5. And finally. The icing on the cake. Sweet! I can get my script now. Walk to the pharmacy like a boss, only to get there and it isn't filled yet. "We don't have all of your info." Huh? I've gotten scripts filled here before. Give my phone number...yes, I'm in the system. The freaking pharmacist has to ask me questions to verify my identity because the doctor's office gave him the wrong birthday. Like, really wrong. Wrong month, day, and year. Unbelievable.
