Me and my boyfriend stopped in at Osaka and had a great experience! We both got the hibachi with the New York strip served medium. And it was such a good serving, I left stuffed. The miso soup, the ginger salad, and the hibachi was more than enough and all tasted really fresh. The service was great, our lovely waitress was working so hard with other table but still checked up on us throughout the meal. I love the decor and the seating is really unique. Great place to eat! Only complaint was that it was quite warm in the dining area because of the constant use of the hibachi grills, but we were fine! She gave us to go boxes and even to go yum yum sauce without us even requesting. We will be back! read more

I ordered $119 worth of food from them. The Door Dash driver was embarrassing. I received only half of my order, and even the miso soup I received was half full. I used to work in the food service industry for many years, so I'm not one to complain easily. Once I received my order, I immediately drove to the restaurant & let them know what happened. One of the cooks came out & was argumentative. I understand he was frustrated, as clearly there is some discrepancy between Osaka and Door Dash, but the chef was extremely rude. Not every customer who complains is trying to be unreasonable or gluttonous. I now have to wait to get my refund. Nobody wants this kind of service experience after a long day of work. My sister had one of those coupon books that had a coupon from this place, so we decided to give it a try. Boy, are we glad we did. We decided on the hibachi. Our chef was a lot of fun. He joked with my mother and us while he cooked our meal. It was a LOT of food and fun. We each ordered a different protein, shrimp, chicken and steak, for our stir fry so we could share. We had enough to bring home for a whole other meal. We will be going back here again. Next time I might order from the menu, but I really enjoyed the hibachi!!! I highly recommend this place. This was our first time going to this specific restaurant. I was kind of hesitant. But the other reviews made me want to go. Other reviewers stated that the service was slow and that definitely does not matter for me. We called to order., we ordered about $161 worth of food. Some people were saying that the people at the restaurant were rude. I wasn't expecting any specific type of service whenever it came to calling and ordering, so I know how different restaurants can be. -The orange chicken. That's where we're going to start., the first flavor that you get. Boom, orange. The second flavor boom. Spice. The. Dryness of the chicken was on another level. But the flavor was on point. -The General tso chicken, That one had a lot of heat to it. A majority of restaurants around mobile, when you order this specific dish, it's very mild. This one had a lot of spice to it and I actually appreciated that. -I honestly wasn't a big fan of the beef lo mein., it didn't have a good amount of flavor to it. I've made at home lo Mein that had way more flavor to it than this one, and the beef was a little on the dry side. -The eel nigiri, octopus nigiri, white tuna nigiri All tasted amazing. I love them. The rice wasn't over sticky, the rice wasn't dry. The rice has a really good flavor to it as well as the. Fish. Themself had a really good flavor to it. It tasted fresh. -I had the North Sea roll. I personally wasn't a huge fan of that just because it had cucumbers in it, but that was my fault for not ordering it Without cucumbers. -I have most definitely had better calamari tempura. Than what I had here. It didn't have enough flavor to it, it just had the coating to it. - the Paul's role, That was pretty delicious. I honestly really, really like that one that had some good flavoring to it. -The onion soup is amazing and my youngest daughter loved, loved, loved the onion soup. She could not get enough of it. And I'm gonna have to save my favorite for last, the beef tataki. Was phenomenal. It has such an amazing flavor to it. It is not chewy, it is just absolutely perfect where you can just pull it right apart. If you wanted to have smaller bites and put that bite into your mouth and chew it, it's like it Melts in your mouth. It is just absolutely full of flavor. I will most definitely be purchasing a lot more of that in the near future. I most definitely have to say All in all, one out of 10 for this restaurant gets a 9.5 for me. We didn't have any issues when we picked up the item. It didn't take that long for them to fix the food for us. The food was very flavorful. They definitely gave enough of everything. They even had all of the food in a box ready for us to pick up because we ordered a lot. I will most definitely be coming back to this restaurant. Made plans with colleagues to celebrate her birthday for a hibachi dinner on Saturday night. We immediately greeted by server Julian. The steak and shrimp and salmon hibachi dinner were delicious. Chef Brian was fun and entertaining. He gave a good show. My friend also ordered ichiban sushi rolls which is shrimp tempura rolls with white tuna topping. I'll start with this, the food was decent and that about the only part that is positive in this review. Me and my family had reservations for a graduation dinner which was set for 830. We arrived at 810 and was told they couldn't seat till 830, we wait. We get to 830 and they delayed as if room was immediately available even though they had just seated a large party right before us. We didn't get seated till after 930. The server took approximately 15-20 minutes to just get our orders. After we ordered drinks, he came back 20 minutes later but with missing and wrong drinks. The waiter turns out to be 16 and can't bring alcohol himself so waiting continues. Even when trying to get help from another obviously older waiter, she informed us "she wasn't our waiter" and walked away. Folks, I could go on but I'll just say this... do not bring a party bigger that 2 to this location. Service was bad and overall we ended up staying almost 4 hours at this place. They need a serious overhaul. I've never been to a place where I was leaving with the folks who worked there. Do better and just be honest with your clients please. read more

This place is right by my work so we decided to try it! The lunch rush wasn't crazy, but the restaurant was HOT! It sucks to eat at a hot restaurant when it's burning hot outside. Anyways, the food was good! I must say the lunch hibachi portion is VERY small. I got the steak & scallop dish (no rice, extra vegetables) and as you can see by my photo - I got 2.5 scallops lol. We were needing to get away from what has been a hectic few days in Pensacola "post hurricane sally" and were on our way to Outback when my sweetheart spotted this place. We decided to give them a try and we are glad we did. Starting off, service was a little slow, getting us a table ready and getting a server, but once things got rolling the server did a great job explaining the menu, keeping our drinks filled and checking to make sure everything was on point.. As I've stated before in other reviews, I'm not much for sushi, but my lady loves the stuff. She ordered the Manhattan Roll and a Tuna Roll and enjoyed both very much. I had the hibachi steak and chicken, both were delicious and were generous portions. It was accompanied by stir fried veggies and a large serving of fried rice. But the star of the meal for both of us was the Miso Soup. It was fantastic..!! Not the watered down nonsense you get at most of the chain restaurants, this was an authentic tasting Miso that really got both of our attention. I have visited this Osaka location on several occasions and have always enjoyed my meal. My most recent trip was this week with friends from work. We all enjoyed our meal and I had the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. It was served with a delicious onion soup (or Miso, if you choose), salad, rice, veggies, chicken and sushi. this was the worst hibachi place i have ever been too. We started off with a shrimp tempura roll and right when we got it something seemed off, smelt very fishy and didn't look appetizing at all. The miso soup was absolutely disgusting, took one sip and couldn't even swallow it. The only good part was our water and the salad. Great experience and food! We had a party of 18 (Sweet 16 Bday Lunch) and they were extremely accommodating. We were given a choice of table and provided a small table to place gifts and decor on.
