I've never met anyone more unfit for her job than Celsa Vasquez. The only way to get maintenance…read morerequests even looked at is to call and when I did, Celsa went off on an insane tangent about how we should be putting our requests into the portal. Right, because last time when I put a request into the portal to fix my bathroom ceiling which was leaking wastewater from the toilet upstairs, I received ZERO response. I had to call at least five times for anyone to even care. I had to CHASE them down to get bare minimum habitable living conditions. Celsa does not care about your living conditions even if they are hazardous, and she will yell at you like it's your fault while ignoring the shit actively dripping from your ceiling. I cannot speak for others at this management company, but avoid Celsa at all costs. She might be one of the worst people I have ever met-- horribly unprofessional, blatantly rude, and has negative empathy for others. Someone like that should not be in management, let alone responsible for the living conditions of others.

They keep you informed with what's going on with any maintenance or office schedule changes. They have always been easy and prompt when communicating via email, phone, but most times I stopped by the office and they would drop whatever they were doing to take care of me. As for Alex (the super) he's the best. He always answers the phone or calls right back, but you don't really have to call him because he's always around. I see him nearly everyday. Clearly I couldn't ask for a better management company and will continue to consider staying with Sackman for as long as circumstances allow. Your guys are awesome!!!

Sackman manages the laundry room in my building on 14th st. They jacked up the prices about a year…read moreand a half ago and have not maintained the laundry facilities at all. In February, they were notified that Verizon will no longer service the copper wires used for the WiFi that hosts the payment system for our laundry cards. They knew they would need to get a new internet service provider. It is now June and our payment system has been out of commission for 3 weeks and we have no way to reload our laundry cards to do laundry. Sackman's solution is for us to go to their office on W 73rd st to fill our cards. This is absolutely unacceptable, as this laundry room is their responsibility to maintain.

It's rare to find a team so reliable and easy to work with in property management, and it's made my experience living here seamless and stress-free. Fortunately, we had dated photos of the apartment showing it was in the same shape as when we moved in a few years prior, and we were able to get most of our deposit back after a lot of back and forth. If you're a tenant in one of their buildings, I highly recommend documenting the condition of the apartment when you move in (missing screens in windows, small chips or scrapes, etc.). Otherwise, they will make every effort to keep your security deposit.

I've been looking for apartments on my own through Streeteasy, Sotheby's, & Corcoran, but kept getting shown pricey, small units by agents that heavily pressured me into applying to everything I was shown. This varied from Chelsea, Hudson Yards, and UWS. But Arielle took her time showing me the unit I requested in addition to other available units in the area in my price range, just letting me browse without pressure. She helped me find my dream studio apartment in a pre-war building on the UWS for a great price that was within my budget. I was shown the unit on Saturday and leased the apartment on Monday. The application process was competitive, but she assured me that she'd work with the office to keep my application at the front of the line (and she did). She answered all my questions and even helped me take measurements of the unit before I moved in! Someone referred me to RPPM and I called them kind of skeptical bc I've had bad experiences before with management companies that just take your money and don't really do much. But these guys are different. John was straight with me from the jump, explained everything they do, didn't oversell it. They handled some violation issues I had pending and I didn't have to stress about it. Communications with my tenants have been way more professional than when I was doing it myself lol. I used to just text my tenants which I know is not the right way to do it. Only thing I'd say is sometimes I wish they responded a little faster but honestly when they do get back to me everything is thorough and correct so I think its just they are busy and doing things right rather then rushing. Not really a complaint just something I noticed. Overall very happy. Would def recommend to other landlords in NJ especially if your portfolio is growing and you cant manage everything yourself anymore. 5 stars from me
