My husband and I purchased a mattress from Ortho. The store is located in Goleta and has quite a lot of beds to choose from.. They were having a sale which made the decision even easier, along with free delivery and a great customer satisfaction addition with the purchase. We had a slight problem with the mattress just about 10 days after it was delivered and were quite happy with the customer service, Linda, and the speedy remedy of the situation. Good place to buy a mattress. This is actually the third mattress we've purchased from them. They have a great selection. The biggest thing the store has going for it is Carmen and her manager. I worked with Carmen on selecting my mattress. She was very patient, very knowledgable and personable. There was a delivery mixup and the wrong mattress got delivered. Carmen worked diligently with her manager to expediently rectify the problem and went above and beyond by offering pillows and sheets to make up for the inconvenience. I purchased a mattress from the Ortho Goleta location by phone on Tuesday, and they assured me they would deliver it to Goleta on Wednesday. At 6:00 pm, I called to ask if it was coming, and they said yes, it was on the truck and would get there by 7:30 pm. It never came. The next morning, they said that they had no deliveries going out on Thursday, so it couldn't be delivered until Friday. I canceled the order and called Mattress Mike's, which is also in Goleta. Mattress Mike's helped me find an equivalent mattress ($200 less because they packaged it with the box spring and picked up the sales tax for Labor Day weekend) and delivered it THAT DAY! No, Ortho Mattress, I don't know anyone with a truck or SUV who can drive my mattress set home for me. Your store is smack dab in the middle of a place where 90% of people drive compact cars - is my lack of UHaul-driving friends really so unbelievable? Do yourself a favor and go down Hollister a bit more until you get to Mattress Mike's. More than one person works there, and they do free student delivery (AND same day delivery!) in the area. If you're in the area and you need a mattress, I HIGHLY recommend coming here and speaking with Chris because he'll give you literally the best deals. He was super accommodating and gave me the best advice for what I was looking for. I'm an incredibly picky person and told him that I was looking for a mattress to invest in. I told Chris my budget was between $600-800, and he showed me a bunch of mattresses that were all really comfortable. But I ended up really liking one that my boyfriend also liked, but it was way out of my price range. I guess Chris knew this because he offered the mattress for $800 plus the $20 recycling fee. Ofc I took the offer because it was a really expensive mattress and I wouldn't be able to get a better deal for the same quality. Hadn't bought a mattress in 7 years, and with this being only the second mattress I've ever bought, I knew almost nothing about what I was doing. Mike was super friendly and was very patient with our kids jumping on every bed in the place. Even after looking at another store, we realize that this place had a great value. Only thing that could give it 5 stars is to freshen up the asthetics of the store. It's basically just a large room with beds. Nothing else. We bought a mattress about a year and a half ago for around $3000. They assured us it would not end up with a body imprints like our last one had. Well, within a year, we have two valleys where we lie (we aren't overweight people). My back aches and I have headaches each morning when I wake up. We called the store and they were very very unhelpful. They told us we had to pay $65 to have someone come out to evaluate the mattress with no guarantee they would do anything to help if the evaluator didn't think it was bad enough. So disappointed.
