Had my first appointment ever, today at the NEW location. I bought a great deal on DailyCandy Deals a week ago, and have been so excited and nervous to try out a spray tan. However, as soon as I walked in, I was at ease. The facility is so amazing/beautiful/modern and clean. Its inside the spa at the FFC -- so easy to find and so well done. Ale was my technician, and she was so professional, thorough and made me feel super comfortable. Further she went to great measure to ensure that their are no streaks or areas where the tan can tend to gather or run like your feet, fingers, knees, elbows, etc. I am in a wedding in Palm Springs in 2 weeks, so I'll be back for round 2 before I leave. I had a spray tan scheduled at this location for the Thursday before my wedding. Prior to that, I had paid for other spray tans to make sure the color would turn out right. The receptionist called me the day-of to cancel my wedding tan because the employee who was supposed to do it was fired that day. The west loop location had 0 other employees available who they could offer to do my spray tan, and in fact, they couldn't even find me another ortanic location in the city to substitute. I explained that this was a spray tan intended for my wedding weekend and asked if there was anything they could possibly do, and they told me no. I ended up going to Glowout instead. Glowout was so accommodating given the short notice and did an excellent job. Additionally, I had purchased a package of spray tans earlier that summer for the location. Since they could no longer provide my service, or any other options, I asked that the $80 I spent in advance for tans I could no longer use be refunded to me. The receptionist stated he would ask the Manager and they would get back to me. Fast forward, they never reached back out to me, never refunded my tans, and when I called to follow-up I have since been told on more than one occasion that there is a new manager, which is why my money was never refunded and that the new manager would call me back. The "new managers" never got back to me either. It's been over a year, and this situation has not been reconciled. Very disappointed in this location and its management. Not only did they cancel my wedding tan with zero solution, they kept $80 of pre-paid services I was never able to use. read more

Tried to make an appointment... the receptionists don't seem to know what the hours of operation are. (i.e., 8pm "should" be fine). So I made an appointment anyway, only to be canceled on by a different receptionist a day later, stating he didn't know why, but someone left him a sticky note to call me and cancel. I attempted to call one of the other Ortanic locations... someone answered and told me they were no longer in business. read more

I received my first "organic" spray tan last week and couldn't be happier with my results. I actually went during my lunch break and was sprayed by Alethea (allie)- who understood I was in a time crunch so she didn't waste any time with small talk. She did a great job, and I was the perfect color. She made me feel very comfortable as well (one more reason why I will be back), I have had spray tans where its awkward standing naked in front of a stranger who is spraying all of your imperfections and you feel like you're being judged. I will for sure be back and would recommend this place to anyone interested in spray tanning in a nice clean facility. read more

Great experience with Ale. She's about as sweet a peach you can find. She was very professional and personable and made me feel completely at ease. She gave me discount for being a new client too. My tan looks very natural and I didn't have that funky, chemical smell afterwards. Be sure to request the PH balance treatment prior to tanning. It helps with the application. This is a wonderful service run by two very sweet and down to earth women. I've gotten a number of air brush tans before, but I've never had such a thorough job done. The color was perfect (after my shower). Also, I love that they can come to your home! I just got it done yesterday so I don't know how long it will last but will update later about that. I've sunbathed in the ocean water bungalows on the islands of Tahiti, but even that "pales" in comparison to the brilliant color I received from Ortanic. I was paired with Ale for my experience, and she was more brilliant than advertised. Her professionalism and meticulous attention to detail is what sets her apart from every other tanning experience I've received. It may be cliche' to say, but she is truly artist at her craft. My only regret is I will never look and feel as good as I did the moment I left... that is until the next time I go back! First time i ever got a spray tan and it looked so natural that even though I'm naturally very white, people thought it was a real tan. I was out in the sun the day before with very strong sunscreen so i didn't get any color from it and when i got the spray tan and saw my family they told me i had a nice tan but didn't suspect a thing. I've been getting airbrush tans on the west coast as well as Chicago for years and this solution combined with her technique is by far the best there is. So professional, and makes you feel super comfortable. She does the most perfect job and makes sure you leave with a huge smile feeling good about yourself. I arrived in Chicago after holidaying in Toronto and Montreal and needed a spray tan. I was staying at the Presidential Towers on South Clinton and discovered that Ortanic, FFC was right next door. Bonus, Stacey gave me a beautiful tan that lasted over a week and made the experience very nice. The actual beauty spa area of FFC was very clean and everyone was very professional.
