Small coffee shop, I only got to try the bear Madeline but it was rich and buttery, not too sweet. My friend said the spinach pastry is delicious and has Parmesan in it so it's good for lactose intolerance folks!

A wide open space with seating along the walls, there's tons of sunlight coming through their floor to ceiling windows. Service isn't quick, though I wouldn't call them slow either, and both employees I encountered that Sunday were very nice. They have cups to stay, but none for the food. I ordered a flat white with almond milk and a cute little bear financier. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and they have punch cards for frequent customers so I hope I'll be back!

Cute , classy hip-ster-ish coffe shop Only thing stopping it from not being a full on bushwick hipster coffe shop transplanted to sheepshead bay is ..... the aforementioned neighborhood:-) Quality coffee here and tasty quality Ingredients. They also have their blends for sale Artisinal foods on sale as well Stars taken off for the tight space which doesn't bode well for WFH folks Also that darn hipster coffee price :-( This is one ORSO that doesn't sleep all winter !

Orso Coffee is on the best coffee places at Emmons ave .Their prices are very good, cheaper than the other coffee shops. The girls working there are very friendly. They are quick and friendly and also making perfect coffee for visitors. They also server breakfast and other sides. This place has interior that allows visitors to sit, relax while enjoying their coffee.

We stopped by for a latte while visiting friends in the area. My latte was beautiful and delicious. It was perfect temperature with nice silky foam. I would definitely come back when in Brooklyn. The cafe was very cute with nice art work. They have few tables and a counter by the window. It's a small place but nice if you want to grab a coffee and walk around the area.

Definitely DO NOT recommend this place. First, there's no restroom, it's ridiculous for a coffee shop. So basically my idea to stay and work there for a couple of hours failed. The place is also tiny. Wouldn't recommend as a remote work spot. Second, no ceramic cups as shows here on Yelp in the pictures. Only paper cups And on top of everything they sell mold-covered chocolate bars ($4.95 each by the way). They also served my cappuccino in a filthy dirty cup.

This area does NOT have a coffee scene whatsoever. Orso is like...the only spot if you want coffee that isn't Dunkin' or from a bodega. It's good. Definitely quality. It's slightly expensive but that's as expected. They also have a small fresh pastry selection.

Remember when you can order a coffee and say "Light & Sweet"? If you do that today, you'll get strange looks. All I want is espresso that's not from a crappy chain place in Sheepshead Bay, I'm going to Orso Coffee. This is a little slice of Brooklyn heaven. There aren't too many coffee house in the area so Orso is a welcomed relief. I swung in coffee but I hate drinking a latte the first time at any new spot. I asked for a Flat White which is less milk in the morning. Macha? Pul-ease.. Once sip of my Orso coffee and I knew I was into something good. The roast was kinda mellow. Easy like Sunday Morning mellow. I bought a bag of beans to take home, its something I know my wife would enjoy. That Barista with glasses and beard? He was a mellow yellow man! I told him about latte is a no bueno and he hooked up my drink perfectly. Keep rockin' Orso!

This is a cool spot to get some coffee and pastries like this pair Danish below. I think it's one of the very few coffee houses in the Sheepshead Bay area, so it's a welcomed venue. However, they need to be mindful of the music they play because there were a couple rap songs that had profanity and that's not family-friendly. Although they have Wi-Fi, note that they don't have a public restroom. That's important notes in his coffee is known to be a diuretic. The "No public restroom" sign is right below their health grade which is an A btw..

Unacceptable!! I went in this morning ordered an iced latte with no ice. And they gave me a half full cup of latte with no ice. I requested with no ice not because i want them to give me more amount of coffee. It is because i have stomach problem. I cannot have anything too iced and too strong ( but i still love coffee ) Yeah I'm paying 5.50 for this supposed to be medium but tiny size of coffee. Never again! read more

Horrible service!!! Bought large Kombucha on tap for $5.99 The guy filled the cup with ice and I asked him for less ice as it was too much , he did remove some ice but then he gave me 1/2 cup of Kombucha... And he told me it's not fair that I asked for less ice that's why I get only 1/2 cup of Kombucha !!! The service sucks, horrible attitude!!! Never again read more

Wow. I wasn't going to leave review trashing place but when I saw all the ONE STAR reviews with patrons complaining of exactly the same problems I realized the owner is unresponsive to persistent feedback of PATTERNS that are going ignored and hence needs a wake up call. So I repeat on behalf of everybody: Coffee is GREAT. Half full cup/hassle if you request no ice policy is WRONG. MILLENIAL STAFF WITH THE DISMISSIVE ENTITLED BRATTY ATTITUDES desperately needs retraining. Don't fire them: educate them and give them a chance to improve- if they are unrepentant, dishonest, or unwilling, then yes they have to go if you want to save your business. read more

Been here a handful of times now, and every single time it's been before 9am and I have been greeted with a smile by very helpful, pleasant and cheerful staff. It basically feels like Florida, where people are actually happy to serve you, not very common in NYC so it's much appreciated. I get the hot cappuccino & it's made to perfection each time so aesthetically pleasing to look at. Exactly what you can expect from a gourmet coffee spot. Really can't say anything needs to be improved and just want to send my support to the new local business in the area! read more

A hidden little gem in Sheepshead Bay for those looking for a relaxing place to study, or catch up with a friend over coffee. Yes, the prices may be a bit steep compared to coffee around the area but it is on par for every other clean, modern coffee shop with wi-fi in New York. Amazingly nice workers - I knocked over my own red-eye within 5 minutes of receiving it and instead of getting a black eye to the face for being an asshole and spilling coffee all over the floor, one of the workers had no problem mopping it up and even got me a new one! Thank you sir! There's no restroom so have a back-up plan, empty your bladder beforehand, or sit on your coffee as long as I did while reading. While there is very limited seating, it never got too crowded and best of all, the natural lighting made it a very pleasant spot. Great vibe, great place! read more

Usually when I drink coffee I can't tell a difference in flavor and how the caffeine affects me. Orso changed that for me. The coffee here is so good and really gets me going. The cappuccinos SMACK! Make sure to order one. read more

Finally a good coffee shop in Sheepshead Bay, it's about time. Before I wouldn't even get coffee unless I was in Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn, now I can always stop by Orso for iced cortados lol. Good coffee and pleasant staff. Give it a visit :) read more

Now I have hope for the neighborhood of sheepshead bay to finally welcome good tasting coffee and food shops. Nice coffee shop - delicious coffee and pastries. I ordered a macchiato and they knew what size a true macchiato is. The actual coffee beans are delicious. The croissants are the best I have ever had from this neighborhood. This shop is a breath of fresh air! I will definitely be stopping by on a daily for my caffeine kick! read more

Went here a week ago to try the coffee and was absolutely delighted! Sheepshead Bay was in dire need of a real cafe, and the coffee here is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I had an iced latte and my friend had a cappuccino and both were rich in flavor and had just the right amount of milk and coffee. I really enjoyed myself here and will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Everything about this place is so lovely! Atmosphere is so cozy, and omg I love their cups! But anyway, staff there is so friendly and they make sure you get what you ask for. Lattes are delicious, cold brew is on point and they always have lemon/cucumber water on the side:) Also they have freshly brewed kombucha. Honestly I've never tried it but I'm willing to try it next time I go there:) highly recommend! read more

Finally a new place in Sheepshead Bay that serves amazing coffee! I love that this place is something different from all the other local restaurants and cafes. I have been here twice already and definitely plan on coming back. The coffee has a distinct taste and great taste. I have tried the caramel latte and iced cappuccino so far, which we're both amazing. So happy to have this place open in this area! read more

My husband is addicted to their coffee. Im somewhat jealous - haha. My husband went in since he had a few hours to spare one morning, ever since then hes been there every other day. If we end up on sheepshead bay road we go straight there. Being that i have a bad reaction with coffee, i try out their tea blends and they are really something to talk about. I usually get green tea or regular black with milk. They always steep the tea first and then pour it on ice for an iced tea. It is in a very convenient location. WTF is wrong with people, giving a business 2 stars because you don't like "the price for the neighborhood"? You can always go to a Dunkin Donuts and get the proper price for the hood drink. Other reviewers copying each other, saying the coffee being a poor man's bean, does not cost a lot. I bet it's the Dunkin Donuts crowd. Good coffee costs money. The spot is legit and serves the best coffee in the southern part of Brooklyn. The coffee was excellent. Very rich in flavor, creamy and not acidic. I wasn't a fan of their Danish, but that's another story. I came there for the coffee. C'mon guys. Let's show some support for the new local businesses. read more

The medium roast tasted acidic, but didn't hurt my stomach. I didn't enjoy it at all. They did not have a dark roast and that is originally what I wanted, I found that weird for a coffee shop. I will update my review once I taste some more thing like the pastries or other coffee. read more

First time at Orso. Love the design, and sound isolation, also they have free wifi and sockets to charge your devices, which is great. The only thing I didn't like was the music played, I'd rather prefer calm music that'd help me focus while I study. I think most of their customers that stay in there either study or work, so that'd be great if they change that. Other than that everything was great! read more

Wow. This is exactly what the neighborhood needed - I used to drive to park slope for a good cappuccino but this is far better and closer to my house. Friendly service and great ambiance. Lots of cool options for grab and go and surprisingly a big Kombucha selection. Will be coming here often. read more

Having been here twice in only a few days, I can easily name this my top coffee spot in South Brooklyn. While there have been some neighborhood mainstays in the area for years, I've always thought to myself "Eh, the coffee I make at home is better than this" and rarely visited. That's not the case here. I've only had a latte and a cold brew and I was pretty much hooked. The cold brew on tap should be classified as a controlled substance. I'm also not very huge no style, looking at substance first. However, the place shines with an undeniable aesthetic that sets it apart. I went from thinking "Oh, another coffee place" before it opened, to "This is the only coffee place" after visiting once. read more

So glad that this side of Brooklyn finally got some decent coffee. The Cappuccino is perfectly made, visually pleasing, and the prices aren't too bad ($4 for Cap.). While not the biggest space, the seating is comfortable, the music isn't obnoxiously loud or tasteless, and the overall ambiance is calm/productive. I think this might be my new "spot". read more

I can't even begin to explain how great this place this! I was in bed sick, they opened Uber Eats early just for me so I can have my Pre Passover croissants and coffee. The pastries are direct from Bien Cuit, an amazing patisserie on Smith Street. The Artichoke Goat Croissant was heaven. Perfectly lamented layers of dough filled with yummy cheese. Hubby and I were visiting family in the neighborhood and stumbled upon this coffee shop, which really seems like a neighborhood gem! I ordered an idea matcha latte, which was some of the best I ever tasted and this little dessert made with buckwheat, which is to die for! I'm eight months pregnant and have been thinking about that dessert a lot lately lol I don't know anywhere else to find it! My husband had a regular iced coffee and a croissant and really liked both. The place itself is really nice with an artsy, rustic sort of look/vibe. There's wifi and the barista who took our order was really awesome and knew his stuff. read more

Cute location, but when you can't tell me who sources your coffee, won't fill up my cup of overpriced coffee to the brim, and give me attitude because you are not even qualified to barista in a small shop, well those aren't issues I feel like dealing with. read more

I'm really sad to write this review, there's no real decent coffee shop near sheepshead at the moment... unless you want the generic Starbucks stuff which isn't bad either. (sometimes) So I've been getting coffee here for a while now regularly and it's honestly hit or miss, I get it simple iced coffee extra sweet and stuff, but for some reason some of the employees simply refuse to mix milk into the drink. I ask and they're like no, even though when you have a high sugar amount like I get you need to mix it in with the coffee right away not add it in myself later. Idk it's just weird if I politely ask to add milk and a barista says no do it yourself... and sometimes I'll come in and the other barista will do it no problem and the coffee tastes great. Currently for lack of better alternative I'll continue drinking the coffee and really hope that maybe something will change for the better, if it does I will gladly edit the review! For now if you're not feeling Starbucks this is the spot to go, but be ready for weird situations like mine! read more

What a complete shame. A good company ruined by unprofessional, untrained, hood rat staff. I work in the area near by and my company often order our coffee from here. I've even had the pleasure of meeting the owner Rita a few times during her grand opening. Unfortunately after my last visit I will not only not be returning, but I will be recommending all of our staff to not return. A co worker and I stopped by for our morning coffee, and the gothic girl in the front with really trashy tattoos and a nose ring had the snottiest attitude. After we got our change she had the nerves to say "it's rude not to tip". Are you kidding me ? When my co worker and I ignored her, she sucked her teeth and mumbled something under her breathe. I won't repeat what it was but It was a racial remark.(my colleague is of color). I am so disgusted. It sucks to say but that we won't be returning. I suggest for other patrons to go to other coffee shops in the area, as there are plentiful. read more
