My friend and favorite hockey player likes this dark roast. 08/04/24

City League Coffee Roasters provides excellent quality coffee and services. It's nice to go to the cafe but if you can't get there the delivery is available. They do a great job packing and providing timely delivery. I'm still highly recommending.

Such an amazing place in Bay Ridge! Their claim to fame was originally the horchata latte, and now the menu has expanded. I tried and peach matcha today, and it was divine.

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of Bay Ridge. The entire staff is amazing, and the coffee is fantastic. Almost all (maybe actually all?) of the coffee is roasted locally by the owner of the shop, and he's always experimenting with different beans, flavors, and varieties. They offer sandwiches and pastries, and on occasion have vegan options as well. I haven't tried many of the food offerings so I can't comment on these. They also offer a wide range of seasonal coffee drinks and non-coffee drinks as well. Their lemonade blends are extremely refreshing in the summer, and my wife loves their matcha. One word of warning, they play a lot of old school hip hop and R&B, and they do not filter out explicit lyrics so if that's an issue for you or you don't want to expose any children to that then maybe steer clear. That being said, they do often have family days during the summer with crafts and activities for kids in their backyard area.

A giant mega cool coffee shop in Bay Ridge? Yes! This place is incredibly NY and Uber hip combining coffee haus chic with a NY esthetic. It's near the NYU Bay ridge campus & we loved it. The pumpkin latte was pricey for Bay Ridge but rocked. Hope they have whole bean decaf next time cause I can't waif to try.

$32 for an 8 oz. bag

Service was super friendly and helpful as I browsed the coffee beans. The owner, Dane, came over to make suggestion and I went with his, as he told me it was the last bag they'd be making of this type. So of course I had to go with it, even though he told me it was a little pricier. But how pricy could it be? I was thinking max $25, but it turned out to be $32! I was a little shocked, especially given it was only 8 oz. but bought it anyway. It came with a free cup of coffee, not espresso drinks though. The coffee was a bit sour, so I hope the beans are better!

This place used to be BLEND coffee, so I was surprised to see the change in management. The place is still a good coffee shop / co-working environment. There are numerous tables and outlets. It's still spacious with lots of seating. They also offer a variety of coffee and quick bites, which I appreciate! I ordered a chai latte and ham and cheese quiche for breakfast. It was pretty good. I will definitely come back again when I'm in the area to try their coffee.

This is THE SPOT. Love the seasonal drinks , the atmosphere is soo relaxing and pleasant. The cashiers are so nice. Love all the pastry options. The pistachio matcha latte was incredible!

Great vibes. Cool merch. Super friendly staff! I was walking around the cafe being snoopy cause I had never been here before and the barista brought my coffee over to where I left my stuff. Great service, I've never experienced that. Definitely coming back more often moving forward.

City League is the type of space I love - nice vibe, friendly people, lots of room to sit and work, including a backyard when the weather is nice, community activities, and good food and drink. I can't drink coffee, but I really like their lemonades and matcha lattes. They also have seasonal drinks and a variety of snacks, and the location is so convenient right by the R train.

I had a doctor's appointment in the area and had time to spare since I was an hour early so I walked around and found this cute coffee shop. What made me walk through their doors was a sign outside that said they had bourbon-barrel maple pumpkin spice latte. It seemed like there was a lot going on in that coffee but sounded like a good time to me either way. So I ordered one and it made my day with how delicious it tasted and how beautiful it looked. There was enough tables to choose from for me to sit down and it was very peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend if you want to find a coffee shop where you can just chill and relax.

chicken caprese

Nice service and convenient location right off the train stop. The chicken caprese sandwich was yummy, but as you can see from the picture, it's a pretty small portion - lunch sized for sure. I was not a fan of their horchata cold brew - was looking for a stronger horchata flavor. Great service and a nice atmosphere to catch up on some work or emails.

From the music and ambience to the friendly baristas, and, of course, the outstanding coffee - coming from Cali, I feel like I've been missing out! I couldn't resist buying some beans after enjoying not one, but two coffees in one sitting. Already looking forward to coming back!

Almost all of their ingredients come from their motherland, so it is authentically made. There's the soft kunafa, sheep ghee, sheep cheese, and pistachio.... And Mohammed, the owner, takes pride in that and how he makes it. He makes sure all his customers are given a somewhat close experience to how it's like im the motherland. And speaking of that, being inside of Nuthut personally warms my heart because of all the beautiful Palestinian art and touches of the culture. All the staff members that I have encountered have been nothing but kind and soooo helpful whenever I have a question or am curious about something. If you're lucky enough to catch them on the day they make their batch, you can watch them make their house blend on the roaster. It is a cool process to watch especially since their house blend uniquely has 5 different beans!!! So all coffee lovers, I mean true ones... if you need a locally owned wholesale coffee provider, this is where you should go. If you love all types of nuts, this is also where you should go, their peanut, cashew, almond selections are great!!!!

Most items are sold by weight and I can settle for a small portion and try more of it. Also, the service was great, he let me sampled the nuts before buying. They also had some samples by the register to sample. Everything I sampled was very tasty. I usually don't drink coffee, but I sampled some of that with a type of shortbread cookie and it was amazing! The shop isn't huge, but it is plentiful and smells amazing.

I've been seeing a lot of videos on Instagram so I definitely wanted to try it for myself. A location in Albertson, NY is opening soon. There are some March exclusives available only this month. I stopped by on a Sunday around 2:00pm. There are two drive-through lanes and there were cars in both. The menu consists of iced tea/lemonade, coffee, specialty lattes, dirty sodas, and water. I pulled up to the drive-through window and ordered the Lucky Charmed Latte with the staff member. My husband ordered a hazelnut mocha iced latte. The drinks didn't take long to be prepared and were very yummy. I really liked the addition of Lucky Charms marshmallows and whipped cream on top of the latte. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but the latte had a good ratio of espresso and milk and it was very good. I definitely want to be back to The Barn in Merrick to try other drinks!

Service is either a bit slow, they were backed up or they don't work on your app orders until you arrive and ask for it. Still, not exactly egregious and I'm trying to be understanding, though how they get backed up with 5 workers behind the counter is a little confusing. Still, the service is always friendly and the shop is cute so it's a good reminder to slow down and take it all in. Ambience is fine. Dark walls but well lit. Batches of seats up front and in the back separated by the service counter. Lots of Knick knacks for sale. They've got some pastries and sandwiches but I've never sampled them so I don't have much to add. I usually get some kind of Americano and the coffee flavors really come thru without excess bitterness. I'll also note, they've fixed their cups. Early on, their coffee cups to go used to leak but that's been rectified at least for the past few months. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a proper brew.
