I recently visited your store after receiving a recommendation ,expecting a high quality experience. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. I ordered a matcha latte, which was advertised at just over $6, but I was charged $8.44 simply for choosing oat milk. While I understand that plant based alternatives may have a surcharge, this increase felt excessive especially for a drink that was quite small and, frankly, underwhelming in flavor.At least give me a decent size cup of Matcha and I will be happy to pay it .Too small for the price ! What concerns me most is the lack of balance between price and value. In many reputable establishments, a larger, better-tasting matcha with oat milk is sold for significantly less. I left feeling that the pricing was not only inflated but bordering on exploitative. I genuinely believe in supporting local businesses, but transparency and fair pricing are key to building customer trust. I hope you take this feedback into account for future improvements. I just stopped in to Coffee Rx because I was craving a caffeine mood boost and didn't feel like dealing with the easy to find, but mediocre at best chains in the area. I ordered an Americano with a splash of cream for my mom and an Iced Bumblebee Latte (made with honey and oat milk) for myself. I have worked as a barista and had espresso drinks directly at coffee roasters. When I tell you these were the best coffees I've had that I haven't made myself, I mean it! I never write reviews, so this is the proof. The flavor combo in the Bumblebee was a perfect blend of rich, sweet and creamy. The only issue I have is that I'm not in Bay Ridge often enough to have their coffee more often. Other things to note: -I didn't get their name but the barista/cashier working was super personable, helpful with picking drinks, and clearly knows how to pull a shot. -The wall of art gives such a nice little flair of personality that so many coffee shops are devoid of nowadays. -While I didn't use the outdoor seating it was well done. read more

Such a cute little coffee shop. Their coffee is delicious and they sell their own brand of beans so you can make it at home. There's some decent outdoor seating so on a nice day you can grab an iced coffee and sit outside. They're always so friendly here and the coffee is great. The inside is very small, so it's more of a buy & run kind of set up. The location on 68th street has a lot more space if you plan on reading, writing, web surfing, etc. Overall a chill vibe with quality beans. read more

Great neighborhood coffee spot. Small inside with a few stools. The decor is chill and laid back. Staff is helpful and very knowledgeable of the drink options. Stopped in for a quick coffee, because I wanted to try out some of the shops in the area. The store front doesn't face 3rd Ave, so you wouldn't necessarily see it if you weren't walking on 88th or looking for it. The shop is small, just a few bar stools, so it's not great for working but the shop is bright and cute and the barista was friendly. I got an iced Nutella latte, which was very good. It seems like they use real Nutella in the coffee. It was also mixed well, there was no Nutella sat on the bottom. They are a little pricey, $5.50 for my 16oz latte, but not outrageous. I enjoyed my visit and my latte and I'd like to try their cold brew but I probably won't be back until I try a few other places in Bay Ridge. read more

Cute little coffee shop, it's nice to get away from Dunkins and Starbucks sometimes! Creative delicious lattes - Nutella latte is a must-try for chocolate lovers, but they do have a fall favorite PSL as well as interesting Lavender, Rose or Maple Bourbon lattes. Prices are comparable to coffee shops in the area and taste and craft is much better than corporate coffee shops (and I'm not even a coffee snob). For a coffee shop in a fairly residential neighborhood, this place has decent coffee and is a nice alternative if I didn't want to trek all the way into Manhattan for a cup of coffee. I ordered a cortado but it tasted more like a latte to me, a bit too much milk. I wish it had a bit more coffee flavor. My friend had the iced rose latte. It was good but I wish it came in a smaller size. After a while of drinking it, it became too much. I like the open door seating of the shop-makes for a relaxing atmosphere. read more

I'm not big on coffee, but we found this place after a nice lunch at Pegasus nearby. It's a nice little, modern coffee shop that's easy to miss. I went with the iced rose latte because it was a nice warm day in February. At $5, it's a very fair price and the latte was very good -- actual rose petals in there. I really love their ice lattes. However their hot lattes are extremely bitter every time I get them. And I get the same latte with the same amount of shots at other coffee shops and they taste great. But here, it's either the espresso is not done right or they are over steaming the milk which would give a very bitter taste. I normally don't put sugar in my lattes but I tried to get rid of the bitterness with some sugar and it honestly didn't help. read more

The menu is pretty diverse, offering the usual coffeeshop standbys mixed with a few fun brews like the "Nutella Monster" (basically a frappuccino blended coffee but with espresso). They sell Balthazar pastries (just chocolate and plain croissants) and coffee beans on a daily basis and DOUGH donuts on the weekends. They also make crepes! This is all pretty standard for an indie coffeeshop and the space is small -- but large enough if you want to sit with your coffee and browse the web on a laptop. What really makes them shine is their baristas, who are hands-down the nicest, friendliest people in the world! And honestly, when you aren't caffeinated yet and this is usually your first interaction of the day, kindness counts! This is exactly the sort of shop that'll give you good service with a smile. Big perk: It isn't very busy and you can usually get your coffee immediately. Ordered the rose latte for myself and the nutella monster for my husband. The rose latte had actual petals in it and it certainly did the trick of a pick me up. It was sweet and not herbal-like (thankfully). My husband who is not a coffee drinker liked the nutella monster and would have it again. I like that many of the experienced staff work over here - its a grab and go place, and I can see it getting filled with SI bus passengers pretty quick. I was always curious about trying Coffee RX then I noticed their new location on 88th street and decided to stop by since its closer to places I frequent. I tried the Lavender Latte, it was delicious! I have been addicted ever since! I have made it a habit to walk there every single morning for my coffee and scone. I have tried almost all of their drinks and although I enjoy some more than others I have not been let down by anything yet. They have scones and croissants from Balthazar Bakery and they also make crepes. Also, super 5 stars for their consistent friendly customer service! Eh nothing special about this coffee place. Teeny tiny, super foamy latte with hardly any substance, and not much that makes me want to come back. I do like how open it is to the outside, however, the location is off the beaten path. There are many other coffee spots in Ridge that are worth going to. I love Coffee Rx, the coffee is truly very good semi over priced but very good. Today, I had gotten the iced matcha and something tasted odd about it. I had said I didn't like it and wanted to change to the iced Nutella latte (my usual) the girl asked the other girl, "should I charge her again for a new drink" and the girl mumbled laughed and said yes because there I was being charged 6.00 again. I believe it should be of the stores courtesy if a drink taste odd that they should switch it out. I always come here I'm a regular customer and I didn't like this. read more

Just moved to the area and saw this place walking by. Went in and ordered an ice coffee and it full of coffee grinds all at the bottom. I went back in almost instantly and the girl swapped it right away and apologized but the fact that there were coffee grinds in my first coffee left a sour taste in my mouth. I think the other coffee spots in the area are better and cheaper. read more
