I wanted to like Orrange, but there were so many things wrong with the place that not only do I not recommend this place, I will never be going back. The Food: The calamari (Pineapple Squid) is the only dish worth getting if you find yourself dragged here, and at $11 its hardly worth the trip. My girlfriend got the classic Backyard Burger which was good, but the bun was absolutely horrible, it looked and tasted like a McDonald's bun. I had the Beef dip which was a massive letdown, they were super stingy with the meat and horseradish mayo, the meat was bland, and I had to add pepper to my au jus dip to get any flavor from the 3 layers of bread surrounding the few shavings of questionably spongy bland meat. The sauces and dips in general are under portioned, the yam fries were good. The Atmosphere: The atmosphere resembles a nightclub, if you plan on talking to the person beside or across from you, pick another venue. Loud techno clubby music and crowds of youngsters yelling over it ruin any sense of intimacy. Even the waitresses couldn't hear our orders properly and this led to many errors. The Service: The service was good, too good. Every time any of us put down a utensil, used a napkin, or finish a drink, we had up to 3 different people hoarding around our table like vultures, barging in our tiny space, making noise, asking us to order more, and totally ruining the flow of our conversation. Most of the waitresses show an uncomfortable amount of cleavage and wear tight fitting clothes. When you consider that a night at Orrange and a night at Steamworks are the same price, save yourself the disappointment and the money, avoid this place if you can. read more

When I first walked in I thought typical casual fare like Cactus, Browns, Milestones, and Joeys. They use the same formula of pretty girls in tight dresses. However Orrange girls can actually serve, they are attentive and do a great job. They don't treat you like they are doing you a favour. Their food is also really well done. The menu has a few unique items. The parking lot is a disaster. I recommend parking at Costco and crossing over, or at Save on Foods. read more

By far one of my favourite lounge/bars to go to in Port Coquitlam. Waitresses definitely know what they're doing, very attentive and friendly. I would say the best night to go would be on a Thursday as they've got half price on the appetizers till close. Parking can be a bit hectic, as mentioned in another review just park across the street in Costco it'll save you the time. Overall would love this place, two thumbs up! read more

Went here with some friends last night. Service was slow. We waited 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. Then it wasn't even our waitress. She apologized. When she got to our table a good 30 min. After we were seated. Food was ok. I had the Leigh Brandt burger had it with salad. I really liked the salad but was disappointed that I was charged extra for it. It was just a small green side salad. The burger was ok but cold. I tried my friends fries. They were tasty but just fries. My friend said the steak was good too. We shared the brownie. The waitress should have told us that it is pretty much 2 bites of brownie and it isn't big enough to share. Good thing it had a big scoop of ice cream. I really liked the orange crush drink that was recommended to me. We had a groupon for 4 but they weren't willing to divide it by 4. Why offer it if you can't figure out how to split it among 4? Orrange is the new Black Listed. My partner and I went there for the first time last night. I really had not heard much about this place except that it was not great. But it looked nice and we were hungry so why not give it a try. Worst decision I have ever made in my life. Upon walking in, our hostess comes up to us with a confused look on her face as if she had no clue she worked in a restaurant. She wandered us around and suggested a table, we took it because her awkwardness was making us uncomfortable. But she got us from A to B so I guess she did her job properly. waited almost 10 minutes for our server. But when she came she was awesome! she was funny and personable. she got us some water as we weren't sure what to get to drink just yet. 3 minutes later another girl shows up. Tells us she is our server..apparently the other one came over to us because she saw we were waiting and wanted to check on us (impressive, I like that). Our new server had no personality and just looked angry all the time. She informed us that their beer tasted like sh*t though...so that was.....good. For my drink I ordered the Orrange crush (not orange flavored) it has acai Vodka and lime as well as a Bellini slush. Sounded pretty good. Now I'm not joking when I say this it actually tasted like a Popsicle stick...the wooden part. Was very unique. Not good at all but not terrible...just...woody. The vibe in there was cool but we weren't comfortable with anything, our server made us feel really uncomfortable with her cold dead eyes. Then another server came up and asked if we were ready to order......when we had just placed our order with server #2 of the night. We decided to get the flat bread because we just wanted to leave. Before I talk about this next part I should explain our seating. we were again a barrier near the kitchen (which is VERY clean btw) room all around us. While we were waiting for our food to arrive my partner whose back was to the barrier had to MOVE so the waitress would squeeze through with 3 plates to server to another table. instead of going around she made him move!! and he had to dodge his head because she almost smacked him with it. And then she comes back the same way and he had to move again! (turns out that server is also the manager) We got the pulled pork flat bread. Which was soggy but the edges and top were completely burned which I was rather impressed they were able to do. It had a strong taste of creme corn which was confusing. After officially having enough we ask for our bill. It gets brought over and she says "why are you leaving so soon?" really!? The best part was my partner complimented her shoes and she asked him if he wanted to wear them and Halloween is about being slutty. On that note we get up and leave. I'm still in shock about how bad it was but also confused about the whole slut Halloween conversation. We get in the car and I'm laughing hysterically, my partner is not he is choked about the experience. we are halfway out of the parking lot when I look at the bill and see that we got charged for someone elses bill (which was more than double what ours should have been) The speed in which he flew back in there was impressive. My wife and I stopped in to the Orrange Kitchen and Bar Wednesday July 31st. We both ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl. As we started to eat I noticed something in my meal. It was a bright pink false fingernail. I had to go inside from the patio to tell our server. She was very appologetic and had to kichen made me another Poke Bowl. Another sever, I'm assuming a manager, dealt with us the rest of the time. She also was very appologetic. Although she did tell us that she wanted to see who had the problem...telling me "I didn't look like someone who would plant something in my food". My wife ordered a desert while I ate my meal. Looking at the bill I saw the following...1 Poke Bowl (my wife's) another Poke Bowl then a minus taking my Poke Bowl off the bill, 1 drink, 1 ginger ale, a desert (which was free) and then another Poke Bowl (my new Poke Bowl) on the bottom of the bill. So out of all of this they gave us a free desert. I guess I could have made a scene and refused to pay the bill. But that's not how we treat people. So after getting the Manager to explain the bill I paid. We go out to eat often and do so with lot's of friends. The right thing to do would have been to, at least, offer my meal for free. The Orrange will never get our buisness again. read more

Unless you have some issues with your bill or payment and you're there on a Saturday night.... the owner/manager won't even help you because he is too intoxicated to handle the situation! And don't even try talking to him because he will disrespect you and raise his voice! I was even ignored by the hostess at the door when I walked in, not to even mention one of the waitresses complaining she hated working there! Went to Orrange for the first time the other night with my hubby for our date night. The decor was unique, warm and inviting. The menu was unique,and had a lot of items with interesting spins. I had my best meal during my trip to Vancouver at this restaurant. The decor and vibe is very modern and cozy. The kitchen is open so you can see all the chefs hard at work. The food is delicious. The maui ribs, chicken wings were what we started off with and they were so juicy and tender. Try the "I Dare You" sauce... it gives a great heat if you like things spicy. I got the mushroom ravioli with prawns, it was so delicious. Portion was enough to make me full and the dish was so flavourful. My boyfriend got the Yorkshire beef dip, the gravy was so flavourful. My friend got the Indonesian Street Noodles, she said it was so good she wouldn't even share it with us! We got the Rocky Point Ice Cream Cone- flavour was smoked Porter... beer ice cream!!! It was good. The skillet cookie was even better... the cookie itself was warm, crunchy on the outside and soft with the inside, topped with some cold ice cream- perfect combination! Have been coming to Orrange bar for about 2 years. Very friendly engaging staff and management. Great service. Great music on Saturday nights. I would not recommend this pub to the fellows for a first date who want to focus on his date. There is a trend amongst the excellent female servers/bartenders. WE LOVE THIS PLACE! The décor (upcycled vintage) was a conversation in itself, the food was fabulous and the service was terrific with impeccable timing (and we were the only ones on the patio). A must try - Pineapple Wok Squid and the Pan Seared Halibut. Delicious Sangria! Be prepared for courteous, funny and engaging service who are watching out for your every need even if you are sitting far away from the most of the other patrons. A great add to Port Coquitlam. The value to having moved to Port Coquitlam is in having Orrange so close. It has become a staple for taking friends and visitors. the staff are friendly and attentive and the food never disappoints. Although once in the three years my tuna salad was not as expected, but they remadied it pronto, and i walkec out super satisfied. This restauranteur knows how to keep clientelle. I highly reccomend visiting if you are in Port Coquitlam. read more

I downloaded the yelp app on my phone just so I can write this review. The food and drinks were great, but the service was phenomenal. My server's name was Celeste and she went above and beyond what a normal waitress should do. I wanted to speak with the manager to complement her and another guy, Max, came instead. After listening to me on how great Celeste was, Max promised a round if shots the next time I go in. Max, I will remember this the next time I go in and I would definitely request Celeste to be my server next time as well read more

Wanted to try something new around Coquitlam and I came across this place. The decor was quite nice, reminded me of Downtown restaurants. But, the chicken soy I ordered tasted bland and just boring....My bf ordered a blue cheese bison burger with mushrooms which didn't go well together. And, plus the waitress didn't bother mentioning that there's a charge with the side salad that comes with it. They also played 90s rap music which didn't go well with the atmosphere. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. Bland and and overpriced. And, the tip was 18% which I think is a little too much for a restaurant in Poco. I would not recommend this place! read more

WARNING**** check your bill and change my bill was $22 I gave $40 and the server tried giving me back 13 change in hopes I didn't notice. My bill wasn't returned to me when I received my change. I asked for my 5$ she owed me and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Busted no shock or apology. As I was leaving I talked to the black male manager told him the server got change wrong shorted me 5$ and that maybe they should carry calculators and he said no it says on computer how much change to give back so my point verified she did it on purpose. I went last night with some friends for dinner and drinks. It is very nice inside and the atmosphere is comparable to browns but I would say I liked orrange better in this respect. My wife and I started with the road side tacos with chimichura beef. They were very good. For an entree I had Chinese Take Out and my wife had the Yorkshire Beef Dip. The Chinese Take Out was a good portion with a nice flavor and good spice. The yorkshire beef dip was a cool take on beef dip. Beef in a Yorkshire wrap. It had decent flavor but the wrap was a little crumbly. The reason I'm giving it a lack luster rating is because our service was terrible after the first round of drinks and the food came. We were there for several hours a few in which we were watching our server clear dishes from other tables but bypass ours and not inquire about our empty drinks. Eventually a supervisor noticed and came right over cleared our table and sent over a free round of drinks. I know the place is new but we were still frustrated. We are planning to give it another try in the near future and I'm really hoping I can change the rating I'm giving it. It's a cool local social lounge with good food and a great atmosphere. Lets hope the service catches up to the rest very quickly. read more

I've visited weekly (lunch for the most part) since this place opened. Food is consistently great, and the beer taps are ice cold. My only issue is the service... sometimes it's great, other times it is terrible. Huge amount of staff turnover, and it only seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Though they advertise a 30 minute lunch, it will always be an hour. We keep going back though... food is great and people are friendly! read more
