While on a Disney vacation my daughter's tooth, which she had banged a couple of years ago, became painful and swollen. Fearing the worst and not wanting to wait a week until our trip was over, we decided to roll the dice and find an emergency dentist. Orlando Smiles worked out great. It's a regular dental practice that offers emergency visits. The xray of my daughter's tooth looked ugly even to my untrained eyes. We took the dr's recommendation and had her tooth removed right then and we're given antibiotics for the rest of the trip. We'll follow up with our normal dentist when we get home but thanks to Orlando Smiles for helping tourists in a pinch! read more

Do NOT go to to this dentist. It is a butcher shop dentist. I had a terrible pain with an abscess tooth. She took one look at my x-ray and told me I had to get the tooth extracted. My own doctor was full that day, and being a Friday, I knew I wouldn't last until Monday due to the pain. I also know that my dentist would have opted for a root canal instead of a full on extraction. They make you sign waivers and pay up-front for a procedure. $595 for an extraction of one tooth. They never explained anything to be expected from the procedure; not my options, after care procedures etc. Unfortunately, when you are in so much pain, you basically do as you are told. In hindsight, I wish I had left her office. It took her 20 minutes of pulling and tugging to get my tooth out and she had no bedside manner at all. When she was done, she just left, on to the next patient (or dollar sign). As I was later told by my own dentist, the office would usually have you wait until a blood clot is formed in the socket after an extraction. Not here. I was sent on my way without a prescription for antibiotics or pain medication and had to return to ask for it. I had a dry socket with exposed bone form. There was even a piece of my tooth left in the socket. When I came home and read all the bad reviews on google my stomach turned. I had to return to my own doctor to get additional treatment. My doctor had to irritate the dry socket to allow a blood clot to form so that it can cover the bone and heal. How is it possible that Orlando Smiles would let a patient out of their office without letting them know about the healing process, or waiting for a blood clot to form? Do NOT go to this dentist. Do NOT go to this dentist!!! I had braces for a few years, and I now have permanent retainers. While on vacation, the glue on the end of my retainer popped off, causing me a lot of discomfort. I called my orthodontist for advice and she specifically mentioned to avoid Orlando Smiles. Out of desperation, and since this place gave me the most convenient appointment, I gave Orlando Smiles a try. The overcharged me soooo much. They did a terrible job with my retainer. I ended up having to go to another dentist a few days later because they did not fix my problem, the next dentist had to undo everything that Orlando Smiles did. After treatment by this dentist I was in severe pain for over a week, she failed to extract tooth completely left piece of it in the gum. I had follow up appointment with her and was emergent ly called to work, called to cancel appointment just to find out that I can't cancel in less than 24 hrs even for emergency purposes. I suppose to pay no show fee. No explanations will change "company policy". Which by the way they forgot to mention when they were making an appointment for the follow up. read more

This is an awesome facility! The staff is so friendly and I left here smiling ( and I don't usually leave the dentist smiling). I have been to multiple doctors in the Orlando area, and this dentist really is amazing. I would recommend her to anybody!! I found Orlando Smiles Dentistry while doing a search on the internet. I was in need of more than one extraction and experiencing quite a bit of pain and discomfort. They invited me to come in to the office the same day I called them The staff was courteous and reassuring. Dr Sarika was very gentle and I felt no pain whatsoever. I felt quite relaxed there the entire time and have since gone back for a couple more visits. Anyone seeking emergency care- (or any other dental work) call Orlando Smiles! I was visiting Orlando this past week and was up all night our first night there in excruciating pain and discomfort from a tooth abcess. I was at a loss as of what to do and came across Orlando Smiles while searching for emergency dental. I called the emergency number at 6:30am and left a message. My call was returned within 45 minutes and an appt was set for 10am. Not knowing the area well we left early. My husband drove me and we arrived about 20 minutes before my appointment. The doc wasn't in yet but another office tenant across the hall was kind enough to let me use her restroom key and let us know Dr. Sarika was usually closed on Thursday but if we were emergency callers, she should surely be there soon. She came in for me on her day off! When she arrived a little before 10 she apologized for our wait (we didn't mind at all as we were fairly early and she wasn't even due to work that day) let us in and her reception staff arrived right behind her and got all of my info. Within 15 minutes I was in the back getting an X-ray with a super sweet tech who's name I didn't catch. Sure enough, I had an infection. It was bad enough they couldn't do anything about it on the spot so Dr. Sarika prescribed me antibiotics and something for sleep/pain until I could get home to my dentist within the week. Never once did I feel pressured, uncomfortable or taken advantage of. Super kind and patient staff. Thank you Dr. Sarika for making the rest of my trip much more comfortable. So grateful! She took me in with no questions asked even being from out of town. Great and not intimidating experience. read more

We had just arrived in FL for a 2 week vacation when my husband's temporary crown fell off. Lovely, right?? I went onto Google and searched emergency dentists in Orlando and picked Orlando Smiles because of the reviews. It was a great choice! They were close, waited for us to get there, were very concerned that he was in no pain, and took care of the problem in less than an hour. The staff and Doctor were very professional and seemed very caring. It wasn't cheap, but we'll deal with our insurance when we get home (I believe they also will work with your insurance - I didn't ask so not sure). Overall - a great experience! If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in about a year and a half ago for a sore tooth and needed a root canal. The first time the dentist (female) opened the tooth up they said I needed to take antibiotics and sent me home with nothing for pain. When I came back a week later, another dentist (male) tried to do the root canal but punctured the tooth and broke into the tissue above the tooth. It bled so bad he sealed it back up and sent me home with excruciating pain. A week later I came back again and the original female dentist finished the root canal... or so I thought. I transferred to a new dentist and when he took the X-rays he started laughing and asked who did the root canal and told me that it would eventually need redone. This week it started to hurt again and so I had to get it redone. In short I paid Orlando smiles $1000 for a botched root canal they couldn't get right after three times... read more

Dr Sarika and her staff welcome the patient with a beautiful smile! They never hurry with the procedures and provide all necessary informattion to the patient before and after the procedure. I got 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted smoothly without any pain. Was also given instructions to follow to help with rapid healing of the wound. Also, before the extraction, a 360 XRay was taken and the doctor helped me understand the reason for my pain and why extracting the teeth was necessary.This really helps getting ready for the treatment. I went into Orlando Smiles today after chipping both of my front teeth at work and they were life savers! This was a freak accident and I needed it fix by the next day. I was doing an internship in the Orlando area when teeth began to hurt to a point to where I could not even sleep. I searched the nearest dentist and Orlando Smiles came up. Once entering the office (which is hard to find), I was not impressed with the way the office smelled, looked, or the level of cleanliness but alas my mouth was still in pain and I needed to be seen. At first, they said they would not take muy insurance and then about halfway through they said they could partially take it... that always gives you a feeling like you are being scammed. After taking the X-Rays, the doctor came back with a list of things wrong with my mouth. I needed a root canal to take away the pain but I also needed a mouth cleaning (which there was no way because I had just gotten one), special mouthwash that happened to be expensive, $1000 dollars worth of fillings, and more. And oh, by the way, we waited forever to get this lengthy bill. The only thing I actually needed was the root canal to take the pain away. All of the other stuff (the parts that were actually true and not all of it was) could wait til I got home when I could use my insurance. I was shocked when my actual dentist told me how I had been upsold and wasted thousands of dollars in dental care. The team pressured me into things and made me think it was necessary for my root canal when in fact it was not necessary at all. DO NOT trust this dentist with your money. They will manipulate you into paying for things you do not need just like a local car repair place would. read more
