I contacted Orkin on July 18 with the below message. I have received no response. When I signed up for an annual service plan on July 8, I was told my initial appointment would be the following day, that the technician would inspect all around my house, basement, attic, garage, and that the appointment would take approximately two hours. When the technician arrived on July 9, he told me he was there for the initial appointment and collected payment. He explained that he was still learning what he was supposed to do. I told him to come in and out of the house as needed, as I was sitting by the front door. He looked in the kitchen, basement, and loft only, and he only looked for ants. He placed three paper glue traps then told me he was going to place liquid bait outside then come back to finish the appointment. He left less than 10 minutes later without another word to me. After emailing the branch and getting no response, I received a text from someone named Ariel on July 10 asking to send an inspector. We set an appointment for July 18 between 12pm and 2pm. I never received any reminders of this appointment so I texted Ariel the morning of July 18 to confirm whether the inspector was still arriving that day. Ariel replied "Yes she should still be coming it is still on the schedule for today" at 11am. Nobody ever showed up or contacted me so I texted Ariel again right after 2pm stating nobody came to provide services. More than an hour later Ariel responded "okay go ahead and call the branch." No apology, no offer to look into it, absolutely nothing. I have been scammed out of $300 plus monthly payments for a year for three paper glue traps. I need my money to be refunded and I need my contract canceled immediately. read more

Using their arrival and departure times as well as what product they used, they were here under 15 minutes and used a powdered something around part of the perimeter that you can buy OTC from Lowe's, cheap. The cost for their service was about 40% more than what I pay now. Plus now my garage, house and gazebo are now treated by a local company coming out of Mansfield. And my current company looks not only for bugs but critters, inside and out. All done for one cheaper price. My current company retains it's employees so you get good service who know bugs and know what they are doing Plunkett only did the outside of the house. Like I said, according to their records 15 minutes between arrival and departure. And that isn't 15 minutes of treatment because they have to get their stuff and prepare the bill! Today, walking around the neighborhood, I saw a Plunkett truck leaving. I wish the owner was out, I would have pointed him in a far better direction.

After living in the house that Cap City inspected-we are incredibly disappointed in their service…read moreand response to concerns. Their original inspection report was inconsistent (at best) in its attention to detail. We realized after the fact that several items were completely absent from the report that should have been at least mentioned or noted. This impacted our negotiations and purchase price of our house. Several repairs and projects have suddenly fallen into our lap that we were not anticipating. Cap City let us down by failing to acknowledge the concerning areas. When we approached them with our concerns, they did come out to visit the house a second time and specifically look at our primary areas of concern. After multiple attempts to reach them after the second visit, they finally offered to refund our inspection cost, acknowledging that their service missed the mark. However, in order to receive that refund they also wanted us to sign a waiver that required us to SHRED the original inspection report and refrain from talking negatively about them to anyone. Clearly, we were not comfortable with that requirement and have opted to let them keep their money in order to share our story and concerns. I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND them because they did not do their due diligence and neglected to respond to concerns in a timely and standard manner. I do not want any other potential home owners to experience what we have experienced.
