Ordered via phone and they were quick and efficient saying our order would be ready in 25 minutes. When we got the order, we actually met the owner who is very nice and thanked us for trying them out. We opened the box and the pizza looked different than others we have tried before. In tasting it, it's definitely because of the crust. Tried to figure out if it was a corn flour that was used. The wings were very good, nice and crispy, but I was surprised that they were so small. I know they do a "wing Wednesday" special where wings are just $1, so maybe that's how there wings always are...? Overall, they were OK. Not sure about the pizza, might want to try a sub or something else from them, but I would get the wings again because they have a huge sauce selection!

I'm always on the lookout, keeping my ear to the ground, for great pizza places in Buffalo…read more Although sometimes, I just want to try some place new. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

I dined in - plenty of seats so you know, don't be a loner and bring some friends. It was cold/warm today (unpredictable May weather in good ol' B-lo) and it was pretty warm in there so good thing if you've an aversion to cold temp. My cheese slice - love it they really re-heated it up til it burned my mouth when I took my first bite. The crust was thin, I was able to do the classic NYorkefold in half and the amount of cheese was perfect! Only thing missing is a chewy crust, this one is a tad too doughy.

We walked in and were greeted by I can only assume may have been the owner. He thanked us for coming, commended us on our choices and asked for a few minutes to get it ready. The dining area is bigger and more cozy than the one in south Buffalo - feels like i can have a get together or some sort of gathering so that's a plus! Sooo the food... my slice was reheated so it was nice and hot buuuut bland. I like the crispy-ish crust and amount of cheese but the sauce was bland: not salty, sweet or anything. A few hours later the take home pie fared better - the beef pepperoni carried what probably would've been a bland cheese slice. But the chef salad was disappointing: i asked for everything to be put in with the dressing on the side - got a container of just lettuce and croutons with two packets of ranch dressing. They forgot the salad when i was called up for my takeout so possible they tossed out my order ticket as the cashier guy was friendly and diligent taking everyone's order but yeah. No bueno. I'll come back again since i like the location and hopefully get a tastier experience!

I am so glad I didn't do the usual 33 because I discovered Pesci's Pizza on the cusp of Clarence and Williamsville. Going through some of the smaller towns, we were watching for pizza places to stop for take home. Often not spotted before passing, I decided I wanted a place seen early enough to obviate turning around. Shortly before Transit Rd, daughter said "There's Pesci's!" pointing to my left. I said "I like Joe Pesci," checked mirrors and swung into the left turn lane. Kismet. First thing to notice as I pulled into a parking slot in front of the business was how busy they were. A good sign. The entry door is between ... two storefronts? on the left is Pesci's Pizza & Wings, lots of smaller signs for specials and notes of interest. On the right... all clear glass window where you can watch all these people making pizzas. After we'd gone in and placed orders... and noticed how young the cashier and order taker were... we went back to wait in car-- only then noticing how young all the pizza makers were. I experienced the sensation of watching an ant farm in action. That sounds silly now, but I was stunned watching how each person had their function, how they operated as a team, how efficient and productive the overall operation appeared. After I got home and had a chance to examine the box and its contents (which, btw, was one of the best pizzas ever), I saw how they had messages all over the box, no wasted space. Pesci's was apparently started by "two yutes," possibly from Brooklyn? Google suggested a "yute" was slang for "youth." Ahhh. Well, alla dem yutes make some bodacious pizza.
