Hello foodies, today I am bringing you an amazing Middle Eastern restaurant review, and let me tell you this place is fire!! And a must-try!! They are not capping when they say they have the "Best Shawarma Meat" this statement stands true in every sense, after trying their food just incredible, I was highly impressed to say the least. There are located in a plaza on Burnhamthorpe Rd and Mavis Rd with plenty of parking, you can't miss this place they are in a unique-looking building with a red roof and a medium-sized patio for outside or dine-in options, and of course, they do takeout. They seem to be fairly busy, I was there at 1 pm and there were about 10 people including skip The Dishes drivers waiting for their orders. So it might be a good idea to call in your orders and then pick up. The menu is quite extensive with very authentic middle eastern delicacies, such as roasted Mandi Chicken, wraps with lamb and chicken options, with lamb and chicken sandwiches that look just amazing, and all their options for dinner plates. These guys have a very extensive list of options if you're looking for a full plate for dinner or lunch, I have not seen this many options and varieties of mouthwatering options at any other Middle Eastern restaurant unless it was more of an eat-in restaurant. The Rotisserie meat is pretty amazing just like the authentic middle eastern style and the best part is its cut fresh from the rotisserie in front of you and not re-heated on a hot plate or sitting there drying out like 90% of your typical shawarma places do it, That's why the meat is top notch and the best as they claim and level way above the rest. Food 5/5 OMG I got there Quas bread with Lamb and all I have to say is it was FIRE!! Just the best-tasting lamb I have ever had by a mile period!!  It was thin cut large pieces right off the rotisserie, it was so moist and juicy and flavorful, a very generous stuffed portion of succulent lamb.  I give them credit for the quality and prep on this lamb meat just amazing and a must-try. The Quas bread is a pita pocket style bread about the thickness of Greek pita bread really nice soft, filled with your choice of fresh veggies and then the lamb on top, I opted for tomatoes onions, and parsley with some garlic white sauce and it was divine, I am already planning my trip back for more of their food because it really is that good guys, so many levels above the other Shawarma takeout joints in the city no comparison. Service 4/5 was acceptable level but could use a more customer service friendly approach, considering they were very busy when I was there they expedited my order through in no more than 10 minutes or less. Guys and Gals you have to try this place out, you have no idea what amazing food you are missing out if you don't, especially if you are a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine.  Stop in and try their lamb you will thank me later!

Located on Burnhamthorpe and Wolfdale OS can't be missed.. am surprised that I was not aware of this place when I used to live near Celebration Square for 3 years... anyways, thanks to my friend ,who recommended this place, I was better late than never... parking is ample at this plaza so try todayyy ! This has been the only place serving Middle East food coming closest to taste that I missed from the Street carts of NYC or the Mamouns outlets in the Big Apple.. you might say why am I comparing GTA to NYC ... well that's because that is where I first fell in love with Middle Eastern food and for seven long years those street carts were my lunch go to place as I used to work at downtown. Coming back to the food ... so far have just tried two ... and I have been left drooling for more ... the chicken SAJ is epitome of how sumptuous a wrap can get .. simply blown away by the taste, freshness and portions... same applies to the lamb rice ... the rice cooked to perfection with juicy succulent chunks of meat ... their sauces are also very tangy ... As I am writing this review already making plans for my next visit... can't wait guys ;)

Probably the BEST Chicken Shawarma in Mississauga!!! The chicken saj wrap here is so delicious!! Its authentic, flavourful and the portion size is huge. I NEED to try other food on the menu! What did I get? So everything is my personal preference. I personally love the lamb shawarma. Authentic Mediterranean flavour with delicious lamb!! However, I don't like it putting in a wrap. I think it's because I don't like the sauce. But it's delicious!! First time trying falafel. I actually like it but I didn't know it's supposed to be dipped with garlic sauce to taste MUCH MUCH better. Now I'm obsessed with this vegetarian choice. Chicken tender is not the best. The crumble and the meat is a bit dry. But I like the Mediterranean flavour. And the box is ENORMOUS!!! Of course, the fries are nice and crunchy! Can't go wrong with that. Make sure to go check it out if you are in mississauga! They just opened a new store in Toronto!

I've been in the search for a shawarma spot since moving to the GTA in 2016, although it is tough to find THE place, this spot has checked basically all of my boxes. I got the chicken platter on rice and salad and a side of fries. For the platter, they give you so much rice and salad, I don't hate it one bit. They then top it with a layer of juicy, slightly charred chicken and garlic sauce and tahini. I asked for a line of hot sauce, as well which is not that spicy for me, and I have a decent spice tolerant. Next time I would add more hot sauce. Their rice is fragrant and well seasoned, definitely not bland. If you enjoy pickles and turnips, you'll love their salad. They definitely do not skimp on those two and I definitely enjoyed it so much. The fries, I expected to be pretty typical but was surprised. They were thick cut, well cooked yet still soft in the middle, and my favourite, their seasoning. Not salty and just a slight bit of spice. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely stop by and grab some food here. They have very fair pricing for the amount of food (I just wish they gave a little bit more chicken) they give you and it's tasty! For COVID, all workers are wearing masks, and they have plenty of outdoor seating available if you choose to eat there, though only limited covered seating.

I'm upset I didn't find out about Original Shawarma months ago!!! It's unfortunate they replaced the old Pizza Hut restaurant but hey, on to bigger and better things. And Original Shawarma DEFINITELY hit that spot. Twice...in one week! The chicken is nice and juicy, charred to perfection, the fries are crispy and brown, price of the items are fair and has a very big patio! (Aka the parking lot) I'd like to highlight one important thing that Original Shawarma does: their chicken spit (term for the vertical rotisserie) is all lean and very minimal fat. Most places buy ther spits cheap and it's all fat, which ruins your meal but OS does not. Hats off to you!!! I suggest anyone who loves shawarma as much as I do to take a small drive to Mississauga and try out Original Shawarma! You won't be disappointed and might end up like me coming twice in one week...

Another Shawarma place in Mississauga short review no need to go on and on . Half of my meal was cold they used some precut meat that they had craved earlier the guy used his hand to add fries to my plate . I had some kind of plater not cheap either it was about $15.00 They gave me a lot of beets also I like beets but there was a lot . Will not return.. With some many Shawarma places in Mississauga you would think a new one would be top notch.

Came here yesterday for lunch with my wife, Shawarma is my comfort sandwich and I can tell what is a good sandwich should be. I ordered 1 lamb sandwich and 1 chicken meal with fries, coleslaw and garlic mayo. The prices are not cheap though the portions are huge , we could not finish the whole order and we had more than half a sandwich to go. The place was clean and nice, with a compact menu which is better in my opinion as you know what you wanna order. Talking about flavors, the shawarma was charred delicious to my liking, well seasoned. The chicken have a very interesting cardamom flavor goes very well with the garlic mayo and pickles, as simple as it gets. The lamb was also well seasoned, generous portion combined with tahini, pomegranate molasses, onions and parsley just as i like, a combination of gamey, sweet and sour. Finally the fries were one of my favorite inn the GTA, crunchy and seasoned with flavorful spice mix, I would say curry and garlic powder. I would recommend you try this place, i hope the owners keep their service consistent to what they have now.

When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

It was decorated beautifully, with chic artwork and beautiful music playing on the speaker. We had made reservations in advance however, we then realized that reservations weren't necessary, as the restaurant only had guests at 2-3 tables at that time. We were greeted by a server, whom then brought us to the table that was reserved for us. Upon first being seated, we noticed that this particular server wasn't too friendly; she would complete her duties as required however, she seemed bothered, and didn't seem to be enthused to be serving us. Nonetheless, after placing our orders, we then waited patiently for the food to arrive. We had first settled on the calamari fritti, which were, too overcooked. They were much more crunchier than they should have been, tasting only somewhat more appetizing when dipped in the accompanying sauce. For our main dishes, I had settled on the veal masala with a mushroom sauce, with a side of vegetables and one potato (which I found a bit odd). The veal was tender, however, there was hardly any of it, along with the potatoes, which consisted of, only one potato. The vegetables were plentiful though, which was what filled me up. My mother had settled on the chicken, which one again, had one potato, and too much cream sauce. The pasta that my daughter ordered had a lot of meat in the sauce however, the meat was salty, and the pasta didn't have enough salt on it. Considering the price that we had paid, we were expecting a better array of food alas, we were disappointed. We even asked if complimentary bread was given, with the waitress looking confused. Overall, this restaurant had a great vibe to it however, we didn't find the server to be inviting, along with the food, which wasn't too appetizing. We wouldn't come back to this restaurant, and would reconsider our options for the next time.

It's not really a trendy place, with the decor and the menu that could easy fit into 2005 seamlessly - but that's not a bad thing. When we came, they had an anniversary special for $39 which came with an appetizer, a main and a dessert. Both my wife and I opted for it. For appetizers, we chose: a beet salad and a crab cake. For entrees, my wife went with arctic char with roasted potato and veggies. I went with butternut squash ravioli. And for dessert we both got creme brulee. The quality of the ingredients and the food preparation really stood out. My wife absolutely loved her fish and said it was the best she's had in awhile. The sauce from my ravioli was so good that I took the remainder home. We were very happy with the service throughout. It all comes down to execution. If you were to read the menu, it looks pleasant enough, but it might not jump out you either. But I can say that if they're consistent, you will really enjoy your meal and probably have your expectations exceeded.

The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! We arrived around noon on a recent Saturday and the place was completely empty. A group of four fairly loud men showed up shortly after us and inexplicably sat at a table near us, but that's obviously not the restaurant's fault. The menu contained plenty of tasty-looking entrees, but I figured I'd grab the dish with the name of the restaurant in it: the Tarboosh ("Combination of shawarma and falafel"). The concoction arrived to the table quite a while later, which was weird considering how empty the joint was, and sure looked impressive. I dove right in. Everything on the plate was tasty but not mind-blowing. The chicken shawarma had a few crispy pieces, which was appreciated, but was mostly unreasonably dry. (The two included sauces helped with that, at least.) The falafel was fresh but strangely light. It didn't really have a strong flavor of anything, really. I enjoyed eating it, but it definitely didn't remind me of traditional falafel. The hummus was creamy but lacking in a strong chickpea flavor (i.e. the concoction was overwhelmed by tahini, essentially). However, once I began eating everything together, I began enjoying everything a lot more. The included bread help, too, even though it was far from the best middle-eastern bread I've ever had. Tarboosh is a mixed bag, that's for sure. If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I don't think I would travel to far to check it out, though.

By chance…read morewhile I was searching on the internet, I noticed The Three Brothers Restaurant which is located on 653 The Queensway, Etobicoke, On. we decided to go to this Mediterranean restaurant to try the food. It is a small family restaurant. has a lot parking places on front and beside the restauran. The environment was very welcoming. The owner and his partner greeted us friendly and smiling. We ordered a mixed plater which was for more than three people. The owner offered us a woody plate with prosciutto crudo and salami that was so good. Then we had a bigger woody plater with mixed meats which was so good grilled and abundant, fresh with chevapi, chicken breast, veal steaks potatoes and so on. The flavors was outstanding. We had the homemade pita bread excellent, warm and soft with some dipping starter. The salad with fresh tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and red onion. Outstanding dishes. I think this restaurant is a very hidden gem. It might be the best Mediterranean restaurant in the city. Highly recommended

Worst experience ever! The "manager" rang up our order (one wrap and one mixed plate on the rocks)…read moreand the price for the mixed plate did not match the board. We asked him and he told us that the prices have changed. We asked if he could honor the price on the board as the wrap came up the same but the mixed plate was not even put in as a mixed plate, he had put it in as a chicken plate on the rocks and added the beef, so naturally there was an extra charge. He said that's just the way it is, and it's only a $2 difference. When we asked him for a feedback number, he told us we were being rude for asking about the price difference when it was so minimal and then claimed that there was no beef so we should just take the chicken or leave as he had other customers to attend to and didn't want to serve us anymore. Quite frankly I was scared about what he would do to our food at this point anyways. There were other customers in the line who were wondering what had happened and asked us, he told us not to talk to them. He told us we were free to contact their head office but wouldn't give us his name, or the owner's name or the complaint line. Just said, "you have a phone, go online and figure it out". Then told us that we were free to leave a review online on yelp. Completely unacceptable behaviour to treat customers so poorly and try to flip on us telling us we were the ones being rude for asking him to honour the item and price listed on their board. Will never go there again. Contacted their customer service via online form, no one has reached out and it's been 2 weeks now. Went to Osmosis and got much better treatment and food!
