Upon arrival, we were greeted by a couple of employees at the balloon archway at the front of the restaurant, handed each of us a National Tri Tip Day sticker and told about the specials they had for this event: free tri tip sandwiches for the first 100 people, $5 draft beers and a chance to win free tri tips for 1 year. They were decently busy, so we opted to order at the outside pickup window and take our order home to eat. We ordered 4 tri tip sandwiches to take home ($43.21 with tax). When I opened up my Buckhorn Rewards App, I saw that I had an 1 year celebration reward (5oz Burnt Ends w/ Fried Onion Strings), I redeemed that with my order. At the ordering counter the had a QR code to enter their "Free Tri Tips for a Year" drawing, which I entered. Both their tri tip sandwiches and Burnt Ends were delicious! They had some side sauces (chipotle ranch and sweet fire BBQ) that I poured onto the sandwich and then I dipped the sandwich in their Au Jus which was a great combination. I believed the tri tip sandwiches are normally $15.50, but were $9.99 for today's event, it was a great deal. Buckhorn BBQ and Grill is a great place for the BBQ meat lover. Their prices are not cheap, but the quality is there. They do have some deals on the menu and specials on certain days such as $10 for 3 fish tacos on Fridays. Don't forget to join their rewards program for free food.

I was shocked to learn that this is only Camille's second shift behind the bar, but she managed to handle hungry, cranky diners like a pro. Always get the same thing here tri-tip and the crispy chicken salad. This restaurant gets five stars because it's consistent on the long drive home from Sac to San Francisco. It's nice to be able to stop along the way and know exactly what you're going to be eating. Tonight was an extra bonus because Camille is quite the conversationalist and a great addition to this restaurant

Employees were super friendly and service was quick. I had the cheese smash burger and I was not disappointed. Smash burgers can be hit or miss for me because they can get super dry and over cooked but this one was cooked to perfection. Ingredients tasted fresh and it was delicious. They had condiments out but I chose not to use them so I could get a better taste of the burger itself and it was seasoned well. Price was good for what I got and it was cooked and ready to go in just a few minutes which made it a perfect option for a work day lunch.

We ordered the 16 dollar sandwich and literally received a hotdog like bun, with slices of tri tip and nothing else. (they did have ketchup mustard and bbq sauce available) But who makes a sandwich with literally just meat and bread? Am I a 4 year old child? No clue how this is a sandwich. We also ordered the Philly Cheese steak hotdog. It did come as advertised with bell peppers, onions, cheese and all but it was flavorless and dry just like the sandwich. And the Garlic Parmesan fries were fine. Good crisp and well seasoned.

Crunchy, saucy and juicy chicken. All are boneless, too. Comes with a side of daikon and shredded cabbage for dat fiber tho. My boo and I tried their galbi jjim with cheese. It came out in a fancy stone pot. It was loaded with pumpkin, carrots, rice cakes, glass noodles and their beef short ribs. The beef was tender and the veggies and rice cakes were tasty in the savory sweet sauce. We ordered a side of corn with cheese torched on top. It was pretty filling for 2 people. We had leftovers so the waitress took it to the back and had it sealed in a box for us to take. Their bbq chicken was surprisingly good! My SIL really liked it! The chicken wasn't dry and it was nicely seasoned and had a bit of char from their sizzling stone plate and tasted great with their rice and banchan side dishes. I like their kimchi, broccoli, macaroni and bean sprout sides. You can get them replenished, too! My mom tried their bulgogi bibimbap and she didn't have any complaints. My bro tried their brisket seolleongtang soup and he seemed to enjoy it because he finished the whole bowl without sharing. My lil' (under 2yo) nephew approved of anything that landed on his plate. Maru is located in a shopping plaza and tucked in the corner near Raley's. The restaurant is small, but modern. It's definitely not a place you would expect in Fairfield. Both times that I've come here we didn't have an issue with waiting for a table despite it being a small shop. You can order from a waiter, or you can order from their tablet screen at the table. Overall, good korean food for a reasonable price. Service was quick and the vibes were right. They were playing some kpop music! I'd definitely come back to get more fried chicken and try their soft tofu stew. Check them out if you're in the area. They should have Badtz Maru as their mascot lol

Visited once before, I went again with friends on 4/11/26!…read more Service is quick and attentive-- we got seated quickly and were constantly checked on for water or banchan refills ! Their side dishes are pretty refreshing to eat between meals for a palette cleanse. We ordered bossam, a combo soft tofu soup, and soy garlic fried chicken to share! (Grilled mackerel was only eaten by my friend lol) Bossam -- holy moly SO GOOD. Slices are a little thin imo but I don't mind layering two pieces together to make a pretty solid wrap with the radish wraps and sauce they give you. The braised pork belly is pretty flavorful and well cooked itself and the complimentary sides, like kimchi and radish kimchi, added to it-- Wow. Definitely try this dish. Combo Soft Tofu Soup -- not a big fan of the spam added, but otherwise great flavor and comforting on a rainy day. I like dipping the rice (also complimentary with your meal!) into the soup-- not much to say other than it being pretty good. Soy Garlic Chicken -- Do keep in mind, these are more like nuggets than it is drumsticks or wings, but still really juicy and so crispy!! The soy garlic flavoring, wow, is perfect and I really enjoy the diced radish and dressed salad on the side. Quite a lot in portion, so quality and quantity are great! It was relatively empty when we arrived which was around a couple minutes after opening, but quickly filled up with patrons. It's pretty casual and cozy inside and I like how quick the check is given to you after the end of your meal so you don't have to worry about flagging down a server. They're really attentive ! This is such a hidden gem, I lowk would gate keep this restaurant but... they deserve recognition and business for their great food and service! ^o^ Definitely stop by here if you're craving Korean cuisine in Fairfield.

We ordered cocktails, appetizer, salads and 2 large Prime Rib Entrees. Essentially everything arrived at the same time! We were seated at a 2 top that has very little room to start witn. We sent the entrees back so we could enjoy our cocktails, salads and appetizer. After a short while they attempted to deliver our entrees again. Once again we sent them back. The server then said to let them know when we were ready. We said ok and they delivered the warmed over,Au jus spilled plates. The Prime Ribs had a large amount of grizzle, the broccoli was not cooked and the baked potato was cold All in all a very disappointing venture.

You make your own bow of food (raw) and they cook it for you. Meal starts with noodles, then veggies, meat, and final stage is the sauce. They have a list of recommended spoonfuls of each, and you can get wild with it if you want! I went garlic heavy and really liked it. Veggies were cabbage, onion, broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, sprouts, spinach, kale, peppers, and a few others. Meat was beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. I tried the beef and lamb with my two servings, preference was the beef. Ambiance is good - somewhat busy and they're cooking food nearly non stop. After our second plate a big lunch rush came in, we had enough already but wait would have been a bit longer after a group of 10 came in! Always a good sign when people keep coming in, and you can tell there are some regulars with the interactions from patrons and staff. You make your own food, so up to you to make it how you like it! I liked what I assembled, and will likely go back next time I'm feeling this type of meal. We didn't try the hot pot, but looked good. Recommend.
