When you live in an apartment and do not have the luxury of being able to throw a rack of ribs on…read morethe frill or smoke a tri-tip life can suck So one of my favorite things to do is sit on Instagram salivating over all the mobile BBQ joints popping up all over the Bay Area and dream about them coming to a town near me... LOL. I finally found a good one locally with 2 Chubbz-N-A Rub BBQ and their name is also a plus as I love a good business name! After looking at their Instagram pics for a month or so an opportunity arose for me to give them a try. My dad does all of the BBQ'ing and I thought for Father's Day I would invite him over and provide the BBQ. I hit em up on IG and places my order for a 4 pm pickup. The food was piping hot and ready to go when I got there and since I live just down the street a mile or two away it was just perfect to eat when I got home. The tri-tip was smoked to my liking. Cooked all the way, juicy and tender with good seasoning and flavor. I hate when you get meat from a place and have to smother it in BBQ sauce to have flavor. Not here. The ribs were perfect as well. I absolutely love smoked meats and the flavor. I could have eaten the with just a dry rub but the BBQ sauce had good flavor and it wasn't dripping in sauce. Just enough to give it that right amount of umpff, if you know what I mean. The sides are also equally important and they didn't slack here either. The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, tender noodles, and good flavor. I am really critical of Mac and cheese because it is one of my favorite foods. The green beans were superb. I always cook my green beans with sautéed onions and either bacon grease or fresh bacon if I have it and boy were these green beans just like I cooked them myself. Some people don't put enough bacon to get the flavoring right but they got it just right. Sides definitely passed my expectations. Everyone enjoyed the food and there was even some left after the 4 of us ravaged it. I will definitely order from them in the future and plan to try some of their pulled pork stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. OMG I can almost taste it right now. LOL

We didn't realize the table was assigned until an attentive staffer who tended the tables explained & adjusted things for us to accommodate our preference. The complete miss was that when we ordered, we weren't asked about where we wanted to be seated, inside or outside, table or booth. Inside, the AC kept it chilly. Loud music plays & 2 TVs are on. Seating is at metal table booths, wood tables, or the bar. Outdoors, you can sit under a roofed area or umbrellas. Fountain drinks are self accessible, but the lids were hard to find & are actually in the small space to the left of the dispenser. Sauces & condiments are easy to access. No extra napkins were available except by requesting more from staff. Our eats-- Tri Tip Buck with caramelized onions Smokehouse BBQ Buck Combo with Fries & Fountain Drink Kids Hamburger Slider Meal (added cheese) with Fries & Fountain Drink The food arrived hot & was very tasty, especially with their sauces. The bread was especially buttery & toasty. Crisp on the fries was great. Some dings are that there was a notable delay in getting the kids meal after our other orders arrived, which as a parent, I would've preferred arrived first. Also, my tray arrived with jus spillage on the bottom that already started to soak into the bread. This has been an issue at this location. Overall, we have a tasty, solid meal experience here.

When our waitress brought our meals, she informed us that her manager said we had to pay the dinner price because the lunch special was available Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. We hadn't realized it was a holiday. We should have been told about the higher price when we ordered, not when our food was being served. Had we known, we would have ordered something different or gone somewhere else. Customers should be informed of any pricing changes before placing their orders so they can decide for themselves.

I really don't like when someone's food isn't correct and they have to wait to eat . So we did have an issue with a steak being over cooked and a side of crab that came out still frozen ( very odd nobody caught that ) . But even with those two issues the waitress and manager were amazing and took care of us . I have to say that the service we received was AMAZING,,, I think our servers name was Ari , she was fantastic, friendly, helpful and just overall great . The manager that stepped in to help us was also amazing , so I say Thank You Cattlemens for making sure we had a fantastic dining experience.

We arrived around 7:30 p.m., and I had to ask more than once for water. After ordering, we waited about an hour for our food. By the time it arrived, we had already been waiting quite a while and hadn't eaten for several hours. Unfortunately, several of the steaks came out cold and were extremely salty. The kids' steaks were also incredibly chewy--possibly just the cut of meat, but they were essentially inedible. Most of that food ended up going to waste. The potatoes were also disappointing; they were hard and not enjoyable at all. We did let our waiter know about the issues. He spoke with the manager, and she did remove two of the meals from our bill, which I appreciated. However, we still spent almost $300 on dinner, and it was very frustrating to spend that much money on food that several of us could barely eat. There was also some confusion with the "Dinner for Two" option on the menu. The way the dessert portion and pricing were explained to us was confusing, particularly regarding whether the dessert was included or discounted depending on whether you ordered it. Overall, I expected a much better experience for the price. I understand restaurants can have an off night, especially when they're busy, but between the long wait, cold and overly salty steaks, chewy meat, hard potatoes, and the overall cost, I left very disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.

Well today I decided to give this place a try and I don't know why it is so long to eat here. First of all I arrived here around noon time and there was not really a lot of people here yet so I had the whole place to myself almost. The staff here is very friendly and they told me that I can sit anywhere that I want and pretty much to help myself which I did. I really like the way that they offer fresh tongs for you to grab the ingredients. Once you're done and grabbing all of the ingredients you put the used tongs and a little box off to the side that says use tongs. All of the ingredient here are really fresh. All of the vegetables as you can see in my photos look like they were just cut and they were just neatly placed inside of all of the little boxes there. Also they have really fresh looking thin slice cut meats and you can put as much as you want. They have beef, lamb, pork, chicken. I tried all of the meats and they were very good and very delicious! They also have tons of different sauces and different sesame oils and they have recipes on how to create a different Mongolian BBQ taste. The two recipes that I like are the barbecue recipe, and the teriyaki recipe. The best part is one of the chef is done cooking your food, you get the sprinkle as much sesame seeds as you like and when you bite into the food it is very hot and fresh! The service here is very good. They also offer rice but you have to request for it. I have also tried their rice and what I did was I just grab a huge bowl full of meat and I used the same recipe for the sauces and I had to cook just cook the meat and you can eat the meat over hot rice and it tastes very delicious. I will definitely be coming back again sometime soon.
