I stopped by while visiting the area because I'm a firm believer that one of the two best ways of…read moregetting a feel for a place is hitting up a local eatery, parking your butt at the bar with multiple rounds of drinks, and chatting with the locals. I ordered the grilled wings with buffalo sauce and a steak wrap that came with a creamy worchestishire (worsterchire... Worcestershire... there it is. I knew autocorrect would kick in eventually.) sauce on it. I very much liked the grilled wings, I've never been to a place that doesn't just deep fry them and as a diabetic without a gallbladder, I generally don't get to have wings. It was a nice texture and I rather enjoyed them. I did make the mistake of eating them first though, which was great for the wings BUT not great for my wrap because while the sauce on it was delicious, it made my wrap completely soggy. It would be infinitely better on the side, or learn from my mistake and eat the wrap first so you can enjoy the taste AND the texture. The ambiance is pretty cool if you are into sports bars. There are approximately 114 big screen TVs hanging around the place playing all the sports, and one playing trivia, which is more my jam. The bartenders were all super friendly and the locals were all super nice too. Apparently they do half off wings or BOGO wings on Mondays, which everyone recommends coming back for like they do. This was a very pleasant way to spend the evening when I was visiting a new town by my lonesome.

We will go there again. $15.00 seemed a little high but, like I said it was a lot of beef. We each ordered a 9" with onions, peppers and provolone. There was very little toppings on it. Mostly meat so for that reason carnivores would probably rate this place 5 stars! I'd rather more toppings but it was good.

I still remember my very first taco…read more It was 1971, just after I moved to East Gary, Indiana. I had made a couple of friends at school, and one day they took me to a small Mexican fast food place called Arman's. I had never had a taco before. I didn't even know what one was. They ordered for me. That first bite changed everything. It was spicy, full of flavor, and unlike anything I had ever tasted. I couldn't stop eating them. Back then, tacos were under fifty cents, so I went as often as I could afford. That taste stayed with me. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when I discovered A1A Burrito Works. I walked in, and to be honest, the decor didn't impress me. But I wasn't there for ambiance. I ordered two tacos to go and headed back to my car. That's where everything changed. I tried to eat while driving. That was a mistake. These tacos were massive, packed with meat, lettuce, and everything that comes with "The Works." I had to pull over just to properly enjoy them. And then it hit me. One bite took me straight back to 1971. After decades of eating tacos all over the place, these were the first ones that brought that feeling back. The same bold flavor. The same satisfaction. The same experience I never forgot. Since then, I don't go anywhere else for tacos. If you care about flashy interiors, this might not be your place. But if you care about real flavor, generous portions, and food that actually leaves an impression, this is it. For me, A1A Burrito Works isn't just another taco spot. It's a time machine.

We found Faro thanks to a local recommendation from our hotel…read more Upon entering we found ourselves in a quaint, beautiful small Mediterranean-inspired cafe facing the Atlantic Ocean over A1A. The staff were super professional yet casual and made the pacing of our lunch perfect. We had bruschetta to start and a prosecco-based coco , the Hugo. Their menu is well-considered with options for lighter meals to feasts. Their appetizers all invoked beautiful summer vibes. Also their panini options are authentic. Their 20 inch pizza peel is iconic and although I didn't order, the mere sight of another table's order haunts me already. We could not resist our urges and each ordered lasagna. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana lasagna As she is of Italian descent she always craves eggplant and this twist called to her. I ordered the ragu lasagna. The drinks and appetizer were perfectly portioned and served. We relaxed and enjoyed the conversation and views. Our lasagnas arrived just as we were literally licking the excess olive oil from our bruschetta with admiration. Again the portions were spot on, the temp perfect and presentation were beyond our expectations. First we each tasted our sauces then the other. The ragu was deep with beef flavor and had excellent velvety texture. The eggplant parmigiana sauce was bright like fresh tomatoes tenderly handled. The difference was remarkable, complex and in both cases superb. My wife and I feel this Faro is one of the best gems in Florida.

It was clearly a hotspot that everybody loved. So we started wandering down the street and just came up upon this place. Now, I live my life by the phrase "sex is like Pizza, even if it's bad it's still pretty good." But I have to say this pizza was delicious. It far exceed my expectations. It was a thick crust and locally sourced ingredients. It was fresh, the sauce had a great flavor. They even had things like dipping sauces like a hot honey sauce, which was fantastic. One of my daughters had a shrimp Caesar salad salad that she said was amazing. (warning: it's raw shrimp, not grilled or anything which is fantastic, but just so you know). My other daughter had lasagna and she said it was delicious. I had the pepperoni pizza and my wife had the ham and cheese pizza. With some crushed red pepper and hot honey sauce I ate every bit of it. Also, they had delirium beer, which helped wash it down perfectly. Five stars? I give it six or seven if I could. I'll be back soon. Anytime we come to this area. I will definitely be here. You may have to map it to this place though, there's no signage outside, but you could see the glow of the blue light logo on the inside. Don't miss it.
