Cute! It is one of the old store in the area and is a must visit spot, not just because of its rustic looks but for the food and coffee. They had all the retro candies to enjoy and beautiful vintage decors. They staff is pretty friendly and locals to buy from here. Coffee here was just delicious!

What a treasure. On Vermont 100 only place open in 30 miles as most places closed Monday-Wednesday. Serves great sandwich's, burgers , fries plus hot beverages. Plenty of cold beverages to choose from . Eat inside or on deck. Friendly service. Also shop in country store.

We've been back here every year since my first review and it's still great! This time we had the turkey burger with apples and cran mayo, fries and the Rueben. The fries were the best I've had in a while the perfect crunch to them. The ambiance is welcoming and there are also great local syrups, jams, jellies and other nick nacks to purchase I have to remember to take a pic of the food next time we are usually too busy eating it

Great tiny general store! Tiny Pittsfield, VT has it all: beer, jam, wine, sandwiches, house-brewed coffee (self-serve by folks in plastic clogs). They offer chips, maps, postcards, candies, maple syrup, cured meats, cheeses, eggs by the dozen, hot cocoa, hamper items and potato salad, spices, water, soda and breakfast crullers, sandwiches. Staff wear shirts from other general stores.. Wood floors and full wine cellars. Rebel chef: 5

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but what a neat place on the inside. Just a place we decided to stop in at in our way through on our drive up RT100. Lots of take home souvenirs (shirts, local syrup, jelly's and other goods) and OMG the French toast here is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The bread was nice and soft, the syrup was not overly sweet and not too thick. Tastes amazing and fresh. My husband had the breakfast egg sandwich and he raved that it was delicious as well. Definitely recommend! Didn't expect to leave with syrup and socks but after eating this French toast I wanted to bring some of Vermont home with me.

"Original" is somewhat of a misnomer at this general store. This general store in Pittsfield is a modern, artisanal, and quaint place. It's a great market to pick up some crackers and beer or grab breakfast or lunch at the eatery. They carry an assortment of products like Vermont maple syrup, local products, beer and wine, puzzles, books, and hardware. There is a tap with AquaVita kombucha and Cold Brewtus coffee. The store has an assortment of chips, candy, salads, and snacks. There's a variety of food in the counter display, and it looks fresh. They have hot and cold sandwiches, pizza, burgers, and other items for lunch and a wide spread of breakfast items as well. The portions are a bit small for the prices, but it's reasonable for the quality that they serve. Food: 4 | Price: 3.5 | Atmosphere/Location: 4 Overall, I would return here and had a satisfying meal.

Absolutely a delicious dining experience - ambience, wine offerings, presents, taste and service…read more Best in Killington! 3 of us selected the salmon special, cooked exactly as each of us requested. The other 2 in our group chose the VT maple braised pork. Everyone really enjoyed our selections. While I live in Killington, the others live in NY, DC and MA and we all have eaten at many great restaurants thruout the USA and Europe. A reasonably priced 2016 Cote du Rhône complimented our dinners. Our server, Hunter, was friendly, helpful and efficient. And a big plus here in Killington, Crux accepts reservations. Don't miss a great dining experience!

Now thankfully I quit smoking but in Brattleboro I routinely see store clerks checking id's for all nicotine and alcohol sales I thought I'd be a good guy and just have my id out, I see other stores scan it when using my spectacles. The "clerk" aprox 45, black guy, proceeds to loudly and repeatedly mock and berate me "I do security up and down the road here, see a lotta id's, and don need see to your id, its plain as day that you old, now you looking good, for your age that is, but you old". We just moved to the area and was surprised to see a small but well stocked grocery store in town…read moreat decent prices. They had a section of fresh produce and meats (raw and cooked). Freezer fridge with all your typical needs like frozen veggies, ice cream etc. We also saw that they sold the local Mom and Pop Maple Syrup as well. While looking for groceries, i could tell a lot of local shop there as people stopped to talk to each other (while keeping social distance) to catch up and say hi. We found everything we needed both times we came here and will definitely be coming here for our grocery needs.

For example, I paid two bucks for a huge zucchini I would probably have paid 5 dollars for at my local whole foods. Overall the prices seemed like prices I would see at any other shop. I guess they have to service their community. It's surprising because small towns like these often take advantage of the tourists and jack up the prices. THey have a decent selection of prepackaged foods and a small area for souvenirs. I wouldn't trust the deli though, it looked dirty and dank. It didn't seem like they offered very much anyway. Their meats were also a bit questionable but I wasn't on the prowl for any except pre-packaged deli meat. The staff were fine; what more can you expect from a cashier. Would come back but only because the choices are limited

We could get phone service in the area, so the gas station order let us use his phone many times over the next several hours, as we waited forever AAA to come tow us out (AAA mistakenly first sent the tow truck to NH instead of VT). We felt vulnerable since we're 2 moms, traveling with young kids, stranded out of state, so we were especially grateful for this generous gas station owner's kindness. He kept the station open 2 hours longer than regular hours, so that we could wait in a safe place with access to a phone. The station's mini-mart had a good selection of reasonably priced snacks and drinks and delicious soft serve ice cream.
