    the Vermonter Sandwich - Whole
    Marissa R.

I love a good sandwich, and Noonie's brings the best. I ordered the Louie vegetarian sandwich (which ironically shares the name of my rabbit!) and my partner ordered the Vermonter. The bread was fresh, sandwiches are HUGE, service is prompt, and there's a wide open grassy area overlooking the falls to enjoy. I absolutely recommend!

they served me the worst Reuben I have ever had in my entire life- literally inedible. I showed them a picture of it and the owner accused me of tampering with it (he made the sandwich not an hour prior) instead of just refunding the $11 he chose to argue with me about how "I was the first person to ever complain like this" and "they're the best sandwich in the state"- ugly ego. must've gotten bruised because he chose to threaten me before he finally handed over the cash. would never recommend when great lunch alternatives exist closeby

Ginormous sandwiches. Lovely park over looking the waterfall in Middlebury town center. It's a historic area of the marble buildings.

Oh my word, this place is GREAT! We try to stop by when we pick up or drop off our daughter at Middlebury College. She also stated that this place is a fave for the students. It's pricey but worth it....for the parents anyway lol. Delia's delight is a DELIGHT. Rueben sandwich is slamming. The Bernie is WONDERFUL! The bread alone that they use for the sandwich is worth. Also the sandwiches are HUGE. Oh my word!! When she graduates we will miss this spot.

Excellent huge sandwiches! My fam came up to visit Middlebury College and got a recommendation for lunch at Noonie's. Got Noonie's BLT, the Bernie Sanderswich and the Purple's Pleasure. All were excellent! The standout winner - the BREAD! Delicious whole wheat toasted made the sandwich. Bacon was crispy and great but the bread was the outstanding foundation of the sandwiches. So good that we decided to buy 2 loaves to bring home. The BLT was so satisfying - light but hearty at the same time. Purple was so tasty - everything I wanted - turkey, red onion, avocado, tomato and bacon! A perfect mix!

I won a gift card to this place during some sort of community discussion dinner in Atwater Dining Hall which prompted me to come by in person to receive my technically free food. This place has been a Middlebury College staple as far as I know. Catered lunches for various student activities often feature Noonie's signature sandwiches. I personally love Reuben sandwiches so the first thing I tried from Noonie's was the Reuben when I was undergoing training to be a first generation college student peer mentor. The Reuben was definitely a safe delicious decision, but the Purple's Pleasure is a Noonie's specialty and for some reason leaves me with a warm feeling. Something about a sandwich named after a color, and utilizing alliteration on top of that - I love catchy things like this. The avocado in it perhaps also speaks to me as a SoCal boy. Spring break of last year I went to eat-in with Omar, his then-girlfriend Vanessa, and Mehek. My sandwich was messy to eat but there were plenty of napkins available to save me. I got myself the Purple's Pleasure that day whereas Mehek got a Bernie Sanders-wich (Bernie 2020!!!!). The Bernie had a nice kick to it and I'll definitely have to get it myself the next time I order from Noonie's! Got to support the man! The most recent sandwich for me however was the Tyrion Lannister that was the result of a free trip to the Snow Bowl with the Newman Club. Newman offered to pay for our lunches and once again, the avocado fed my soul as well as the spicy buffalo dressing. However, I only got a half portion because Newman Club started to get a little stingy, but nevertheless free food for me is good-enough food I suppose. But Noonie's is great!

Yeah, solid. A pillar of the community. Nice service. Sandwiches are quite large. Does the job. Very cool setting in an old marble works, set in front of a beautiful waterfall in the middle of beautiful Middlebury, VT.

    Purple's Pleasure is a classic!

Place is legit. Pictures can't do these sandwiches justice. Fresh ingredients; all sandwiches made with integrity.

Meh. Service is incredibly slow, sandwiches are far too big for one person, messy and hard to eat. Value is good but that's about it.

Thick-cut, homemade bread slices hugging perfectly designed sandwich fillings. The Purple's Pleasure is a must try!

My country bodega paradise, my home away from home, VGM…read more Village Green Market is your typical Vermont country store but also happens to have the best deli around. Our favorites are the Palmer, sliced turkey and bacon with a pesto mayo, and I absolutely love the chicken patties on a sub and even took a picture for my review. Lasagne and Baked ZIti from the hot case are also winter staples, and my kid loves the chicken fingers and hot dogs. I should not forget to mention the bacon corn chowder, or the fall apple crisp. I know most Vermont spots have incredible coffee, and VGM is no exception. I want to scream at all the cars waiting at the Dunkin on Rt 7, there's much better coffee and breakfast sandwiches, freshly made to order just a moment away!! The Shack that is set up in the summer is a grill spot for amazing burgers and dogs and fries... deli and cold salads inside, hot case for soups and hot dishes, and the outdoor shack is seasonal but seriously insanely good burgers. Perfect family dinner spot in the summer, we get our grill items outside and creemees inside to enjoy at the gazebo on the village green. Local bakeries supply the sweets but they also have all the candy staples, my favorite are always peach rings, and the new Reese's Take 5, and sweet spicy chili Doritos. Feels like family when I'm there so I always request my favorites anyways. Make this your new favorite lunch spot too!!!
