Took our road bicycles from Crown Pt bridge to Pratt's (8mi) and had lunch. Aleena's Sunny Day sandwich was delicious. Mounds of outstanding pastrami heaped on my spouse's Jersey Turnpike sandwich. In the city, these would be $16 sandwiches. Half that price at Pratt's counter! Sat on the front steps to eat them, and can tell you everyone going in or out of Pratt's is polite and nice. Many we met were local vendors delivering their products to this well stocked general store. Will return for sure. read more

My go to place. I've always been a deli kinda guy over most types of restaurants. There staff and general customers are friendly and you feel at home. There speciality sandwiches (even done as a wrap) when I request it, is amazing! Every time I travel through the area I make it a point to stop!! Make it a point to check the place out! During our travels, Yelp helped us find Pratt's Store. We were looking for a quick lunch that we could eat on the road. this was an excellent pick for the snack, food and drinks we were looking for. Their deli sandwich called The Bridgporter was amazingly tasty and big! I was able to get 2 meals out of the sandwich. I have to mention they had the BEST oatmeal cookies!! My husband really enjoyed their peanut butter cookies. So fresh tasting, too. We appreciated this awesome country store and their friendly service. This store is a gem. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was the best burger I've had in a long time. My BF had the Philly Cheese Steak which he wolfed down. They also had great oatmeal cookies and chocolate brownies. The only negative thing was no tables so we ate in the car. Oh, they also have Boar's Head cold cuts, hard to find in VT. The service you'll find here is almost a spiritual experience. The owner, Corey, and his staff are some of the friendliest, altruistic, and helpful people I've ever met. I was returning from Lake Placid to Cambridge and was passing through this tiny town when my dashboard gave me a light show just a few minutes before my gauges all fell to zero. My alternator had it's last breath, and I had just enough battery to pull into Pratt's lot. I walked in and explained my situation, asking if there were any service shops nearby on a Sunday that could help me out. Corey went through his phone book and must have called 15 places, including many of his friends at their homes, to see if anyone could help me get back on the road. After no luck, I decided that my best bet was to get a hotel in Middlebury until Monday when I could get my car serviced. Corey went to the extent of answering his frequent customers if they were driving to Middlebury and could give me a ride, still to no avail. I asked if he happened to have a car battery charger, thinking that I might be able to make it to Middlebury with a recharged battery. He literally went next door to his very friendly neighbor's house and came back with a charger; offered to let me stay at his shop as long as I needed to, and helped his neighbor hook up my car to the charger. While I was waiting for the battery to charge, I enjoyed an awesome sandwich there. Finally, I'm back on the road and make it to a hotel in Middlebury. Corey called me a few hours later to make sure that I had made it safely and let me know to call back if I needed anything, after already giving me contacts for service in the area. What a wholesome little store. Deli was closed by the time I was there but there was still homemade whoopie pies, cookies, & cakes which supported a cause. They also had monthly raffles. Great selection of wine & cheese. read more

Pratt's Store catered our picnic of 50 attendees. We merely gave them the number of guests and selected our choices of of food. They were spot on about the amount of food. The salads were amazing with just the right amount of salad dressing. Beautiful plates of veggies, crackers, cheese and dips. We received wonderful compliments about the food. Convenient place to stop for gas and fill your stomach at the same time. They have plenty of beverages to choose from, and a full service deli. Their sandwiches are delicious but a bit pricey, I thought $7 for sandwich was a little steep considering you can get a whole grinder at WAGS for $6 which is a lot bigger. Nevertheless it's a good place to fill up both you and your car. I'll always stop here anytime I'm on my way to Middlebury. read more

Pratt's Store, "it's a local institution" I was told, so I went, and, besides the deli, staple groceries (and then some), and gas pumps, they also have a beer cave filled with EVERYTHING local! Well, and a few other kinds for the "not so adventurous." If you can't find something to quench your thirst here, you either aren't very thirsty, or you need to loosen up a bit. You are greeted, even being a stranger, as you walk in. In short, old school, genuine Mom N Pop place. The kind I grew up with back home, but suddenly disappeared...Anyway, I had heard tell of a deli sandwich Mecca in the back of this modest building, so after much deliberation, I decided on the New Jersey Turnpike, a pastrami sandwich with provolone and all the fixins on marble rye, (PLEASE, trust me on this, let the good folks here dress your sandwich for you, as per menu.), some random thick cut chips, and a bag of Coconut Pecan cookies. The sandwich was a work of art, made by someone who knows how to make a sandwich, at a fair price, AND they do it well here, with pride. You can tell there is love in that sandwich. Now the cookies, those coconut pecan devils I was squawking about earlier, absolutely fantastic! Buttery, nutty, sweet, crunchy, melt in your mouth, as good as Mama's kind of cookies. A must stop and eat place, nestled in between the Adirondacks and Green Mountains. This is farm country, and it felt like home. A diamond in a beautiful and peaceful part of the country.
