Notice how any of the bad reviews have nothing to do with the actual pizza what you see is what you get and I like it... pizza that's good affordable and yes, you have to pay cash for it- cool, SOLD! I've driven by Anna's Pizza for many years but didn't try it till now. SCW and I stopped in for some slices to go. Of note during Covid "masks required" on the door as well as "cash only". One was adhered to by staff, one was not. Obviously "cash only" was more important. Ok fine. The employees regardless of the mask issue were pleasantish. No real menu, stacks of pizza with handwritten prices for some based on the number of ingredients. But you really don't know what the price is of anything you buy. We got slices of cheese and margarita pizza. Both huge, warmed in the oven and put in a box. You can add spices and such pictured. Great pizza smells in the car home. Looked forward to the pizza. Tried the cheese first after de greasing. Meh, compared to most I've had quite average. Sauce was the highlight. Nothing special there. We didn't eat both slices. The margarita pizza slices were odd. Basically a cheese pizza with tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella seemingly placed on top afterwards. Mozzarella was rubbery, basil was good. Literally a cheese pizza with the tomato and mozzarella with basil as an addition. Quite odd. I don't like giving bad reviews, much less to a local place. I've noticed a trend in the reviews that those who order seem to have a less positive experience than those who go in person and eat inside. This has now surprised me 2x! The square pizza with fresh mozzarella and extra basil is amazing! I think it's called Grandma's Pizza. Slightly spiced and the crust is wonderful! I crave Anna's Pizza every time I make the trip back to my hometown. The slices are behemoth in size and flavor. It's one of the most authentic slices of pizza you'll ever have in your life. ***Pro Tip: Order the Grandma and/or the Sicilian*** The inside houses two tables and a few seats at a cramped counter. Expect to order take out. Also, it's worth noting that it's kept uncomfortably warm inside. It's Florida, splurge on the A/C. I'm going to save the final star (for now) for customer service. I have been a long time customer of this establishment and I feel besides Anna's stellar food she has employees like Alex who is friendly has a smile on his face and makes you feel appreciated. Tonight I accidentally ordered from the palm city location when I went in here this lady was yelling an order to the staff and turned to another customer and said "I don't know if she is stupid or deaf" to belittle your coworkers while other customers are in the store to make yourself feel empowered is toxic. Man what happened? I went with a friend.. Two different friends two different times within the past few months. I'm not sure why both times I had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean the grease of the tables. One time the food was good..yea.. The pizza. Can't go wrong. I have been coming to Anna's in Jensen Beach for years. This place has the best pizza in the Stuart area. I felt inclined to post a review after trying a nearby New Haven style pizza place. That place had so many 5 star reviews we had to try it. We were so disappointed with it, so I looked up Anna's and I couldn't believe there weren't hundreds of 5 star reviews. If you know good NY style pizza then you will not be disappointed here. Very similar to your quintessential NY pizzeria, they have multiple style pies and you can choose a slice from any of them. Or order an entire pie of whatever you want. They always have zeppole's available and their white pie is made exactly as it should, ricotta, mozzarella and garlic. Seems like some of the negative reviews have to do with their cash only policy and small dining area (two booths and a couple of stools at a counter). There is a location in Palm City but the food is not as good (but still better than the New Haven style place). However Palm City accepts credit cards and has better seating availability. Perfect scenario would be for Anna and her kitchen crew to come to Palm City and teach/retrain the Palm City crew. read more
