The Origen Museum at the Springs Preserve is one of our family's favorite museums to visit in Las Vegas. We easily spend several hours each time we visit the Springs Preserve inside the Origen Museum. Every few months, there is a exhibit that changes. Last time we stopped by the Origen Museum there was a cat and dog exhibit. This time, it was under construction, making way for a new exhibit! Some of the fun activities you'll experience at the Origen Museum include the following Reservoir of History, the origin of Las Vegas. Flash Flood Exhibit: Recreates a desert ravine, and shows what happens when a thunderstorm occurs in the dessert. The exhibit utilizes 5,000 gallons of recycled water through a simulated canyon. Miracle In the Mojave: My family and I see this video each time we come. It has 156 seats within the theatre. The video is narrated by Martin Sheen. As you watch the video, you'll go on a journey that shows the natural history of the region and water development. Live Animal Exhibits: The outdoor live animal exhibits include a variety of Mojave natives. Some of these include lizards, desert cottontails, a gray fox, pocket gopher, turtles, and Gila monsters. Land Auction: A recreation of a 1905 land auction where you can see some of the sculpted figures and listen to a live narration of life in the boom town. Railroad and Train: In the same exhibit as the Land Auction, you'll also see a recreated railroad car from the early 20th century. There are seated sculptures inside the railroad car that will tell stories. It's pretty fascinating and it's always great to stop by this area. The Hoover Dam Exhibit is one of my favorites. In a short video, you learn a lot about the history and construction of the Hoover Dam. It's a really good documentary and I'd highly recommend watching it if you're stopping by the Origen Museum. If you're near the Miracle In the Mojave theatre, you'll see a gift shop next to it. My daughter ended up purchasing a Owl Plush. There are other merchandise at the gift store such as apparel, jewelry, pens, decorative items, and so much more! In order to visit the Origin Museum, you'll need to purchase a ticket into the Springs Preserve. Nevada resident: $9.95 adults, $4.95 children (ages 3-17) Visitor/non-resident: $18.95 adults, $10.95 children (ages 3-17) We always have a great time at the Origen Museum inside the Springs Preserve!

I enjoyed my morning at the Spring Preserve and the Origen Museum! my favorite exhibit was The Natural Mojave Gallery and live animals. The desert that we call home has a very unique story. Learning about how mother nature constructed the mountains and the history of the topography in the area was fascinating. It is difficult to choose a least favorite exhibit. Origen details everything about Las Vegas history and learning how the city came to be was fulfilling. I'm happy I chose the Origen Museum because the Springs Preserve gives you so much more to explore. The Nevada State Museum and Butterfly habitat were a treat. The strengths of the Origen were numerous. I think the hands on approach like the night vision display, several hands on maps the traincar and the water conservation display help create an experience that helps the visitor grasp the information being shared. I did attend the attend the museum rather early in the morning, and I wish there were more employees on site to answer questions. Overall, I highly recommend visiting especially if you are not born and raised in Las Vegas.

This review is for the Arte Museum in Las Vegas. I have…read moremixed emotions about this review because it was an interesting concept and had some enjoyable features, but as I left I felt it fell flat overall. Here it goes: This is not easy to find - check prior to heading over to ensure you know where you are going. The price is not cheap for the small size of the Museum. If you add a taxi/UBER/LYFT to get there it may be too pricy for the end product. It is your money - you decide. Once inside after checking in, there are several rooms you enter in a self-guided manner. The flow of the walking is ONE direction. Therefore, if you felt like you wanted to see something again, you would be going against traffic. If you have issues with vertigo or balance, this is perhaps not the Museum for you. There is lots of glass and things moving against tiles and glass and we found ourselves stopping to catch our balance a couple of times. In some rooms, prior to entering, although there are signs up saying "do not block doorway" everyone did trying to get pictures or videos making it hard to enter. There were not any staff inside the Museum directing people accordingly. Also, some of the guests were actually sitting on the floor to take videos of themselves as if they were sitting in water - this only created a road block for those who were trying to move on. Each room is unique and some are more "active" and larger in size than others. There is one area where you can color a page, scan it in, and it will become part of the animation. We waited 10 minutes for a seat to participate and none became available, so we left that area disappointed. The cafe, as other reviewers have noted, was a disappointment. They showcase it on their website as something very much different than it is. The man working the cafe counter the day we were there evidentially did not enjoy his job. I don't know why he stays if he is that unhappy. The cafe indicates: A feast of live garnish expressed with media art on attractive drink and dessert menus. I guess we missed this part! LOL! The latte we were served was about 1/3 of a cup - if we would have poured it out into a measuring cup. For $7 that is not worth it - pass on that folks. There is a sign on the cafe table indicating you can use it (after you have purchased items there) for 10 minutes. And they mean it!! A very small bottle of what they call "rainwater" was $5.00. Who in the world would buy that - but we saw people with it. Maybe they got it for a souvenir? Speaking of the souvenir shop: It was unique - there were many items priced under $10 or $15. So, if you really wanted something, you could find something at a reasonable price. I would check out the videos people have posted on YouTube to decide if this is worth the investment for yourself. We were in and out in an hour to give you an idea of how much you are spending for an hour of your time.

Growing up in Las Vegas, it has been amazing watching Ghost Adventures shine a spotlight on this city and introduce people around the world to the incredible history, stories, and fascinating individuals connected to the paranormal. Vegas is so much more than the Strip, and places like this really showcase the mysterious and extraordinary side of the city. Walking into the Haunted Museum, the excitement immediately took over--but once I was inside, I was genuinely blown away. Seeing so many incredible and infamous artifacts up close was surreal, especially knowing the stories and history behind them. There is so much to take in, and you can truly feel the atmosphere as you walk through the different rooms. I also want to give a huge shoutout to the staff! Everyone I encountered was welcoming, friendly, and made the experience even better. After exploring the museum, I had to stop by the gift shop, where I picked up some of their awesome rosaries. They make such a cool keepsake from the experience. For a longtime fan, this was definitely a bucket-list experience. Whether you've been following the show for years or you're simply fascinated by the paranormal, history, and the unexplained, I absolutely recommend visiting Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum when you're in Las Vegas. A must-visit for any paranormal fan! Las Vegas wouldn't be the same without the fascinating stories and experiences that make it so unique.

Wow, I've got a lot of opinions about this one…read more The hard and long upsell at the beginning when you are near the box office to upgrade is super offputting. Like thirty minutes of being held hostage is a real horror. Also, the selfies that you can take with the ring light cost $12 lol. They try to convince you to buy a Polaroid camera that can take up to 10 photos and that's also scammy. They take a dollar from you when they ask you if you would be willing to be tribute in one of the first rooms for a fortune reading. For the price that this is I think it is pretty insane at how much of a money grab they continued to be There is a ton of stuff to look at and sometimes I wish there was a little bit more time without the tour guide. But the tour is super long as it is and everyone that ended up buying the VIP said that it was not worth it. If you are sensitive to smell, I will have to warn you that the rooms are heavily perfumed. We didn't do the maze because apparently the clown was on lunch break. They should've given some of our money back because we didn't get the full experience. All in all, thé capitalize on spirits and glorify serial killers. Kinda weird. I am glad I did it once but will not be coming back. Candy man, the security guard was awesome though.

M is always lookin' around for new things to do in town and there are plenty of those (non-gambling…read morenon-drinking) things to do. She went ahead and bought tickets on line for the Mob Museum. We chose to go on a Tuesday, the fewer people the better for us. Parking was $8. This is right down there by the Old Downtown, Fremont, the Nugget. Fact that this building was a Courtroom and Post Office. The layout was very well done starting on the top/3rd floor with beginning of the the crooks and then the town. Each floor has its own notoriety in the time frame/ era. The displays are informative, a lot of reading. Tour guide headsets are available too, we found the docents were very knowledgable. I asked them if they knew where the term "86ed" came from? There are quit a few "actual items", the St Valentines Day Wall...some Tommy sub-machine guns, and other bits and bob's of stuff. I didn't see any wax figurines of the bad guys for photo op's. They did take Pic's in a Line Up setting $15-$35 depending. No actual cars or vehicles, I like the tactile stuff. I guess Bonnie & Clyde don't qualify. Certainly the Mob Hall is a fun, once is enough venue to see. We made sure to stop at the speak easy in the basement. We spoke with the staff and enjoyed the stories and beverages Yes a real bar it is. and to finish the story...Eight miles out and six feet down is 86. Every Mobster knows that right? Lefty? We were lucky enough to catch a talk by a former mob member, which made the experience even more memorable. A special shout out to the employees throughout the museum. Their passion for the history is contagious, and they add so much to the experience by sharing stories and answering questions. The museum also has a great gift shop and café. If you're looking for something authentic and engaging beyond the casinos, I highly recommend it.

    # Omega Mart: An Immersive Experience in Art, Apparently Not in Customer Service…read more Omega Mart is an immersive experience in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, my most memorable experience there wasn't the art, the creativity or the elaborate installations. It was discovering just how uninspiring a company's response to an injured customer can be. On March 16, 2026, I was walking down a staircase at Omega Mart, using the handrail as any ordinary person would. A sharp edge on that railing sliced into my middle finger, leaving a laceration approximately an inch long and half an inch wide. I was bleeding enough that staff escorted me backstage, where an employee cleaned the wound and told me someone would follow up. Nobody did. A month passed. I eventually had to contact them myself. I received a call from someone identifying themselves as part of the Safety Team, calling from a blocked number. I was told that a refund had already been offered. There was just one problem: my employer had purchased the tickets for a work event. A refund to the purchaser did absolutely nothing to address my injury. I was then offered complimentary tickets to return to Omega Mart. Because apparently, after getting sliced open by a handrail, the natural response is to invite someone back for another visit. I declined. After providing photographs of my injury and continuing to pursue a resolution, I was offered a $46.50 merchandise coupon. That's the price of one admission ticket. For a physical injury. I couldn't even buy a hoodie with it. I wish I could say the situation improved from there. It didn't. Over the following months, I repeatedly attempted to resolve this matter directly and professionally. I explained the injury, documented the incident, described how it temporarily affected my ability to work and requested a reasonable resolution. In return, I received references to liability waivers, requests for documentation, deadlines and repeated reminders that the matter could be closed. Eventually, my claim was denied. Meow Wolf stated that its investigation of the staircase did not identify any sharp edges or hazards. The response leaned heavily on the inherent risks of an interactive experience. Here's the part that seems to have escaped everyone involved: **I wasn't injured while interacting with an exhibit. I was injured while using a staircase handrail.** There is a rather significant difference between accepting the risks of an immersive art attraction and expecting basic building infrastructure to be safe. And even if Meow Wolf believes it has no legal liability, that still doesn't explain the customer service experience. An apology for the lack of follow-up would have been a start. A sincere acknowledgment of the injury would have been welcome. A meaningful gesture of goodwill might have ended this entire saga months ago. Instead, I spent months chasing responses, explaining the same incident repeatedly and feeling like an inconvenience for daring to ask that my injury be taken seriously. I want to be clear: this review isn't about demanding a fortune or expecting a company to take responsibility for every accident that happens on its property. It's about how a business treats someone after something goes wrong. Accidents happen. What happens afterward says a lot more about a company than its marketing ever could. Omega Mart has clearly invested a great deal in creating an unforgettable experience. It's a shame that its approach to handling an injured guest turned out to be equally unforgettable, for all the wrong reasons. Visit for the art if you like. Just hope you don't need the customer service.
