I had no idea that we had a historical museum all about Clark County! My husband suggested we visit this museum a few days ago and I'm so glad he did. The museum is located off Boulder Hwy in Henderson and is extremely well maintained. There was ample parking and entry was free! We didn't realize how much walking there would be outdoors, so we only stayed about an hour since it was so hot outside, but we plan to come back in the cooler months as there's so much we didn't even explore. You could easily spend 2-3 hours here. I loved that they were able to salvage some of the historical buildings from Boulder City and Henderson when the railroad and Hoover Dam were being built. They also had replicas of many historical buildings, like the Print Shop. Almost all buildings & trains were open, allowing you to step inside and explore the history of our County even further (PS: the buildings all had A/C which was nice). Inside the Visitor's Center, which is the first building near the parking lot, we were able to pick up a map of the property. There is a massive indoor exhibit in which we learned about plants & wildlife native to the area, the multiple Indigenous tribes that inhabit this land, how the railroad & Hoover Dam influenced the rise of casinos, and how Vegas eventually became the sparkling City of debauchery that it is today. There were also clean restrooms located inside the Visitor's Center as well as a water refill station and a small gift shop. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a free afternoon spent learning about our great city and Clark County. I'm excited to go back once the weather cools down!

Four locals visited for the first time today, and we agreed we'll be back. First, parking and admission are free, this is family friendly, with flat, pretty good access for much of the property. Next, the homes were decorated for the holidays and we picked up a few recipes to try which was a delight. The indoor and outdoor displays were well maintained, beautifully detailed, had great informational signage, and they addressed "sensitive" topics in a balanced way IMHO. The weather was perfect to walk the historic small "town" they have brought to life here. Please drop a donation in as you enter, or exit, to support the evolving work of this fabulous non-profit.

This is a free museum located in Henderson. Although located in Henderson, this museum is really about the founding and history of Las Vegas. At first, I thought it was literally just one building which was the main exhibit hall that you see as you walk into the premises. The main thing I didn't like about it were the random Indian noises that would play over and over again. I think the exhibit would be much better if those were turned off. The history of gambling, the city, and the Native Americans that lived there were great exhibits to look at. As we exited the building, we started walking to other places because there's a gigantic empty lot across the main exhibit. There was a lackluster garden walkway. It wasn't until we kept walking further down the road that we realized how huge this museum actually was. Further down the road are multiple buildings that are real houses that they transported here for the public. Each house is as detailed as the main exhibit. There's also a chapel, a printing press, a trailer home, train, and an outdoor exhibit. All of these buildings and exhibits are very well maintained which I found impressive. There was so much to see that we actually ran out of time. Once again, all of this is completely free. I did say that I found the heavy use of mannequins to be kind of unnerving since sometimes, it was just me all alone in a house with mannequins. I'd imagine some of these would be creepy looking at night for the employees that have to close up. Overall, this is a museum worth visiting simply because it's free which is not something you can say about a lot of attractions in Vegas.

This is probably the best museum in Las Vegas. I came here countless times with loved ones. Admission is only $2 and there's much to learn and explore. I hope one day the city sees its potential because this should be a place for field trips and for students to learn about local history.

My husband and I went to the museum for the first time ever. The exhibits, trains, houses, barn, chapel, garden and trail were all worth experiencing. The admission is free for NV residents. They open daily from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.

A special event night that I attended(mid-December) to commemorate the addition of holiday decorations into the Heritage Street homes.

It's a gem of a museum I visit during the holidays annually. A lot of history. A lot to see and learn about. During December there is the bonus of holidays decorations added to the Heritage Street homes! Some exhibits with the museum are permanent, but a portion of the museum has a changing exhibit space. For example, when I visited December of 2024, there was a Vintage Toys exhibit at the time. Amazingly very inexpensive general admission costs too! Typically it does not stay open late at all (except with special events).

It was very small museum but I had my fun and get to know little bit of history of Nevada. Fyi. Entrance fee was $2 per person.

If you want to find some old Vegas history and travel back in time the Clark County Museum is the place to be. Located in Henderson on S. Boulder Hwy and self parking free of charge & price to get in was VERY reasonable $2 for adults $1 for kids and seniors First glimpse into the inside museum your not quite sure about how cool it is BUT give it time before you judge head outside and follow the path on the map you are given and you won't be disappointed. You see what life was like in real life displays dating back to the 1800s going inside a train and train station and into some old house with old time views, decoration, and history lessons. It's pretty awesome and definitely worth a day trip

A stroll in time dating back to the early 1800's hundreds -- this museum is settled in Henderson, Nevada. There's several homes that have been refurbished. The houses depict the traditional family homes across the valley over the decades. Each house has a lengthy history. From the furniture to the window panels there are tons of stuff to sift through. My personal favorite is the printing press room. They display typewriters, a massive press, and so much more. I also really enjoyed the historical context provided by the museum in each of the many homes. Very family friendly and good idea for early morning before the major heat.

If you have never been in the Clark County Museum before and wondered where you might find it ... well, it's located in Henderson, south on Boulder Highway. This is a great place to spend the day and look at some amazing historical exhibits. There is a very little fee to pay when you enter the museum. At the front, you can find a tiny shop too, where you'll be able to purchase gifts, books, and other goods. The museum consists the Exhibit Center, Nature Trails & Ghost Town, Heritage Street, and the Mojave Desert Gardens. I loved the historical journey from the Ice Age to the Age of Entertainment! The timeline chronicles the history and culture of the ancient Pueblo and the more recent Paiute, the first Anglo pioneers and their daily lives ... You are free to walk through the ghost town buildings ... the nature trails ... You must stay on the trails! Enjoyed walking around the Heritage Street of historic homes ... One of the buildings consists the Donald W. Reynolds Print Shop (replica, 1900) This print shop houses original printing equipment including the Intertype typesetting and composition machine, a large Babcock cylinder printing press! Don't touch the ink on the press cylinder or frame, it's only 65 years old and hasn't dried yet! So much to explore here and learn about our history! I will be back again for sure!

Take a trip back into this live Time Capsule. Pay at the front gift shop, admission is $1-2. Self-guided tours, so you can take your time in taking it all in. Make sure the weather is clear enough for you to walk outdoors and explore the different houses over 100 years old! Donated by real families that remain apart of Nevada's history. Start with the immersive indoor tour of the complete history of what makes Nevada what it is today. Grab a Scavenger map from the gift shop for kids - it's free and interactive (they even get a prize for returning the pencil to the front - big win for the kids). Give yourself about an hour or two to explore the grounds outside the museum. Genuine mining carts and equipment. To the old city jail cell. Cool recommendation for the little explorers :)

Take the walk down this street, go into the buildings, yards, even to the church

This place is a huge indoor playground with three floors of hands-on exhibits that kept them moving the whole time. They loved Toddler Town on the first floor the desert themed soft play, sensory elements, and crawl spaces were just right for their age. But the real highlight was The Summit, the giant 70-foot climbing structure that spans all three floors with 12 levels. I was surprised how well our 2 and 3 year olds handled it! They climbed the levels with no problem, exploring different challenges and interactive spots at their own pace. It was great to see their confidence grow as they went up and down. They also enjoyed the water play area (smocks provided still recommend a change of clothes) and some of the imaginative play zones. We spent about 2.5-3 hours there, and it felt like the perfect energy-burner in air-conditioned comfort a lifesaver in Las Vegas! The museum is clean, the staff is friendly, and it's very stroller-friendly. Admission is $15 for Nevada locals with valid ID and $20 for non-locals (kids under 1 are free). We went on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded, which made chasing the boys around much easier. Helpful tip for families on a budget: If you have a valid EBT, SNAP, or WIC card, you can get admission for just $5 per person (up to 4 tickets per adult cardholder cards must be shown at entry for verification; in-person only). If you have active little ones who love to climb and explore, this is a fantastic spot. Highly recommend -- we'll definitely be back!

It was nice having something fun for kids to do that doesn't involve being 21+ or sitting in a hotel room, especially while her parents had a chance to gamble. I was honestly exhausted after going through the jungle gym, but there are so many hands-on learning experiences and activities that keep kids engaged the whole time. The Grocery Store was a popular place that the kids seemed to enjoy. The quality of the exhibits is great, and for how much there is to do, the value is totally worth it. Highly recommend for families. We'll definitely be back the next time she comes to visit.

Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed.
