We booked our tickets online and arrived around 2:00 PM. The museum is full of history regarding the atomic age in general, as well as Nevada's specific role. We found it very interesting.

Love the discount for locals thank you! Always been a nerd for anything regarding the hidden universe and this place unpacks a lot of the atomic world with such fun exhibits. The staff were very polite and helpful. The simulator was fun and not too scary definitely would heed the warning if you are sensitive to lights, sounds and effects. My favorite was the Manhattan Project room. So heavy and impactful but teaching valuable lessons about history. I will be bringing the rest of my family here very soon!

Visited the atomic museum for the first time today. Went with 2 teenage girls who enjoyed the exhibits. We spent about an hour and half here an enjoyed reading about the history. The atomic film was immersive. Some cool stuff to see in the gift shop as well.

Wow you need to come and find this place of pure atomic history. Exhibits are amazing . Don't miss the ground zero theater!!! You go through the museum store so much more to see follow the rails.

Been wanting to come here for awhile now. My brother was in town visiting with his wife and brought up checking it out. We were worried it might not be open because of the government shutdown. But it was. Pricing is reasonable and it took us about 2 hours to finish the tour. Lot of information I didnt know about the test site and really learned the difference between fission and fusion. My dad and I are ww2 history buffs, so I took to the Manhattan project area. Learned more about the inner workings of how the bomb made it to be dropped on Japan and the size of one of the bombs. Place was clean, easy access with free parking.

If you love historical and science museums, this is for you. If you don't like reading and find it a big bore, reconsider as you may waste your $29 bucks. My husband and I love going to places that give us bits and pieces of additional knowledge, so we find joy in going to places like this. And we love to read. The museum laid out their exhibit so well that it was easy to understand their story - the tale of America's nuclear weapons testing program at the Nevada Test Site (never really delved into this before) and the world's reaction to it. Truly interesting...and yes, fun. Kudos to the museum organizers for managing to make if fun despite the gloomy topic. :) Worth every cent of the entrance fee and totally recommendable.

The Atomic Museum was such a fun and fascinating experience! It offers a great mix of history, science, and interactive exhibits that really bring the story of nuclear testing and the Atomic Age to life. From the moment you walk in, you're immersed in a timeline of events that shaped not just Nevada, but world history. It's perfect for anyone who loves learning about science, military history, or Cold War culture. A really great perk for UNLV students is that admission is free on Wednesdays with a valid student ID! That makes it an awesome mid-week activity if you're looking to do something different without spending any money. I went with friends and we were all surprised by how much there was to explore--from old film reels and bomb models to virtual reality experiences. If you're not a student, I definitely recommend checking Groupon before going. I found a deal for two tickets for just $40, which was such a steal considering how much there is to see inside. The museum is very clean and well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. They even had a gift shop with cool atomic-themed merch and souvenirs. Overall, I'd say the Atomic Museum is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. It's educational, entertaining, and really eye-opening. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's worth spending a couple of hours here. I left feeling like I learned something new and had a great time doing it. Would definitely go again!

This was a great museum, exploring Nevadas close contribution and connection to Atomic and Nuclear development/history. Some thoughtful details include chronological timelines, that not only show testing and development, but comparatively cultural (pop) events, to provide perspective as to what else was going on in the world at the time. There's some interactive displays, and even a short nuclear blast testing simulation, running every so many minutes. If you're really into this type of history, you could easily spend 1-2 hours going through it all.

If the movie Oppenheimer whet your appetite for the atomic age, then you've got to check out the Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, which takes you straight into the heart of America's nuclear history. It's not all doom and gloom though--there's also quirky pop culture, vintage PSAs, and even artifacts from Area 51. General admission is around $24 bucks, and the museum is open daily except Sundays. For a blast from the past that's both eye-opening and unforgettable, the Atomic Testing Museum is must-see in Vegas.

Some of the staff were very friendly. Some of the staff were very knowledgeable. the exhibit themselves were extremely informative. The latest addition to the atomic museum displays the prototype of the first atomic bomb. As well as the two bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those two atomic bombs were referred to as "little boy" and "fat man". After the two bombs were dropped that act subsequently led to the immediate surrender of Japan and the end of World War II.

    Jen C.

This is a Vegas treasure! If you haven't been there, it's a must visit of Vegas history that is unknown to most people. I learned so much about the history of the atomic bomb in both Nevada and internationally. Their new interactive exhibit provides great bite size chunks of learning for even the littlest of learners. Make sure to not skip out on the film either.

Very cool place on the edge of the UNLV campus...got a good deal for admission through Groupon which cut the cost somewhat...the museum is very cool and you can easily spend 2-3 hours inside depending on your interest level of the exhibits...very spacious and clean...lots to see, and read about, with numerous videos as well...the theatre towards the end is really cool and somewhat simulates the feeling of being in a blast zone area...it is also a reminder and reality check into how dangerous these weapons of mass destruction have and continue to be to society...this is truthfully more of an adult oriented museum, small children and pre teens would probably not have much interest in the topic presented here...free parking but one star off because they do charge a fee to use one of the audio sticks for the tour...RECOMMEND

Yes, there's a huge exhibit, theater and photo ops all dedicated to Area 51. It's to the left of the main ticket admission. Plus if you exit they the gift shop, there's even more options to take home with you. 👽

I hadn't been since it first opened years ago, so I got genuinely excited to check it out again. Man, I'm glad I did. This place is packed with history and it doesn't hold back. Be prepared: some exhibits get pretty gory, and there's a lot about law enforcement taking down gangsters. There's nothing glorious about the violence or the killing, but you can also see the other side of it. During the Great Depression, when people were struggling just to eat, some folks romanticized the mobsters like Robin Hood figures or even treated them like celebrities. The museum does a solid job showing all of that without sugarcoating. It's a real deep dive tons of detail across multiple floors, interactive stuff, and artifacts that make it feel immersive. If you're into history at all, you'll eat this up. And yes, if it wasn't for the mob, Vegas as we know it probably wouldn't exist. That alone makes it worth visiting. My buddy was most excited about the speakeasy bar at the bottom (The Underground), and it definitely delivered. Cool Prohibition-era vibe with craft cocktails perfect way to end the visit. Overall, this was my "oddball" activity of the trip (right after hitting Bugsy's bar, of course). The way they've put it all together is really well done. If you've got a few sober(ish) hours and want something different from the usual Vegas grind, definitely check it out. It's a nice change of pace and a solid history lesson wrapped in a unique experience. Would go again!

We thought about getting the Las Vegas Go City Pass, but the pass only includes daytime admission. I purchased two tickets online for the night admission with the history tour add on. Somehow there was a glitch and I was charged twice for the admission portion. I didn't realize it until we were on our way to the museum. We were running behind, so I didn't have time to try to resolve the issue. Once we checked in, we were waiting for our tour to start when one of the young ladies at the front desk asked me if I meant to buy 4 tickets. I explained the situation to her and she said she would refund me the $70 since it was a glitch. I appreciated her so much! I was prepared to just take the loss but I'm grateful that I didn't have to. Our tour guide was Steven. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He provided all sorts of information on the history on the various signs. He did a good job of making sure that freeloaders didn't try to jump on the tour. I was surprised at the number of people who tried to tag along as we walked through the Neon Boneyard. I didn't have cash but was able to tip him via Venmo. In addition to the history tour, they also offer a movie tour. On the night that we visited, there was a presentation that was open to all ticket holders. Throughout the museum, they featured prominent Black figures associated with Las Vegas for Black History Month which was cool to see. This was a fun and unique experience and I'm glad we made time on our trip to visit!

It happened to be right around sunset so were were able to see some of it with a bit of daylight and then as the sun went down...the magic happened. Like others have said, the venue is much smaller than I thought it would be. It is easily walkable, flat and accesable for those with mobility concerns. Overall, I am very glad we came to see it and it does not take much time to go through so that does help with parking. The lot is very small but with people coming and going, it was easy to get a spot. When we were done, we asked about the other location next to the parking lot and found out it was a special add on. We decided to go for it since it was starting a few minutes after our tour was done. I think it was worth the extra $17. The show is in another bone yard of signs that do not light up but an artist created a light show, with music that creates a unique experience. It was fun and a nice way to end the evening. On a different note...I was very impressed with the bougie restroom...not your typical Pota Potty...and yes I took a video. The facilites are located in a white trailer in the parking lot...It was lovely! Yes there is a fire place in the restroom! It was very clean and smelled lovely. It is not handicap accesable tho. Overall, I think the Neon Museum is a nice way to spend the evening and given the price of most things in Vegas, it is fair.

I couldn't believe just how massive the giraffes were, it is a very striking impact to have them greet you at the entrance! Great placement! Stuffed animal room was very neat to see, I have only seen animals like this in a museum in Elko Nevada. We moved on to the aquarium room, saw some small sharks, and some cool fish like puffer fish! We loved the dinosaur room and that would have been way cool if my kiddo was younger!!! The highlight for me, what I was here for was the Egyptian exhibit! Wow!!!! I learned sooooo much and can't belive the actual artifacts that are on display here!! They were absolutely amazing!! This exhibit alone was worth the money!! The machine that you could view the different layers of the mummy was phenomenal to experience!!!

Our 5 year old & 2 year old loved the experience. Service was very helpful. The ambiance was clean and not crowded. *note if you're a CCSD employee, you get in free!

I have no idea how I managed to skip leaving a review of one of my favorite art venues. So, I'll…read morestart by saying that I learned about Meow Wolf in 2017 at the Oregon Eclipse Festival where they had small tea houses and possibly other art installations that I thought were cool. Fast forward to now, and I've been to the OG House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe twice, Omega Mart twice, Radio Tave in Houston, Convergence Station in Denver, and I look forward to checking out the Grapevine Tx and LA locations. So, all that to say, I'm a fan! And so far, Omega Mart has been my favorite. I absolutely love the grocery store and all the humorous products in front, and I fully enjoyed all the areas to explore through the soda fridge portal (and other ways back). I like the art installations and various rooms at this location, y'all there's a Laser harp... I mean, come on! That's cool. It shocks me that this location has a 3.6 rating, however it is likely the most visited Meow Wolf of all the locations due to being in Vegas, and not everyone is going to "get it". It has reached the tipping point. The funniest reviews to me are the ones where people said they were bored, like right away. How?! There's quite a bit of content to absorb and so many details, many of them hilarious. My senses are definitely tapped into, in the best way, at Meow Wolf and I appreciate that. After all, as Dorothy Parker said "The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity." Coming to any Meow Wolf with the intention to explore is by far the best way to approach it IMHO. There are generally storylines that can be followed at each location but I like to wander and see what I see. Thanks Meow Wolf for building & making such cool spaces for people to love it or hate it. But either way it's an interesting place of art and a welcomed break from the mundane way of seeing reality. I have no doubt I'll be back to Omega Mart next time I'm in LV. Maybe next time I will get a boop card and follow the storyline to experience the space differently than before. Plus, there's a speakeasy bar called Datamosh that I missed the times I was there, so I'll look again and stop in for a drink for sure since I loved the interdimensional honky-tonk dive bar hidden inside the Meow Wolf Houston, Cowboix Hevvven.

Quick search on Yelp & Google, and knew this was gonna be THE spot. With down time finally in our favor, we stopped by on a Monday afternoon. Took the elevator up and paid at the register. I asked if cash and/ or card are accepted, but it's card only. There are complimentary lockers available before walking into the museum. Watch the quick 2 minute video and away you go. Next to every display or immersive exhibit, you can read what is happening. And why you are experiencing this special effect. It's a great flow of exhibits. And if one particular area is crowded, you can continue on exploring. And return back to the previous one. Staff is so friendly with photo opportunity suggestions. * Restrooms are located near the slot machine/ pole dance area! There are WARNING signs if you have sensitivity to flashing/ strobing lights. Some rooms can be a bit darker while throughout the museum is well lit. The optical illusion to some of the exhibits can cause dizziness. Even the graphic geometric patterns you'll see throughout. Very budget friendly. And from a previous review I read on Yelp, you can also find discounts directly on their website. You'll exit at the gift sho

We went on 11/21/25 around 3pm. If you want to see everything and take your time, a full 60mins is required. It's $35 but you can get 15% off when you book online. Red, the manager on duty, told us about the discount, which was nice. We booked online while on site. From the moment we got there everyone was super nice and helpful. We were rushing out and could not enjoy the entire museum because we had an expensive show we booked that we couldn't be late for and had to leave halfway through the paradox rooms. I cannot remember the young ladies name in all black, but she noticed I was rushing through, asked my friend why, she told her, then instead of just moving on, she went to extra mile to ask her supervisor on duty Red, if it was ok that we came back after our show so we can enjoy the experience. Red agreed. That to me was top tier service. Pure unprovoked great service. She noticed something was up, took it upon herself to make the experience better. Something happened after the show and we were not able to return, however I'm writing this review to highlight this team. There were about 5 team members there at the time, all helpful, extremely nice, and very happy to do their jobs which is rare. I highly recommend this place if not for something cute to pass the time, but to support this business because they have great people in place. Thanks again to Red and the team on site that took pics for us and offered us to walkthrough again at no additional charge because we ran out of time. Much appreciated. I hope this review reaches them. I'll be sure to post this on google as well.
