Once I turned over, the experience completely changed. She used her elbows to press down very aggressively. It wasn't just deep pressure, it felt like she didn't really know how to massage properly. She asked if the pressure was okay a few times, but I said yes because I was worried that if I complained, she'd go back to barely touching me. I've had massages regularly at many different places, and I've never experienced someone who relied almost entirely on digging in with their elbows like this. It felt more rough than therapeutic. She also scraped my calves way too hard with a gua sha tool. It wasn't relieving at all, it was just an unpleasant kind of pain. Overall, I was disappointed from beginning to end. I ended up with bruises all over my back, and after the massage I felt so dizzy that I had a headache and felt unwell for the next three days. On top of that, I developed an itchy rash on both sides of my neck that still hasn't gone away. I'm not sure if it was caused by the massage oil or the massage itself. The therapist was kind and friendly, but unfortunately the massage itself was one of the worst I've had. Based on my experience, I honestly don't understand why this place has such high reviews.
