OMg I can't believe this place is still here. It was here when I was a kid. So much junk , to funny. They always have pins and junk in the window. If you need somethin strange and unique you can find it here. Some of the store has been in the window so long it's fading. It's still amazing that is survived all these years. The guy must own the building. Rent is not cheap in SF

Pins, patches, and more on window display

I have always wanted to come here pre-pandemic, and I am so glad that I was able to stop by today to look at and buy some pins! Because of COVID though, the owners have decided to put the pins on display at the front window, you take photos and circle the ones you want, and send them a text. The options of pins were great! My friend and I had a blast looking through all of the pins on display and debating which ones we wanted to buy and bring home. The ordering process was quick, easy, and COVID-friendly! I am very happy with the pins that we got. Most definitely coming back, and I will be taking my other friends with me next time!

Finally got the opportunity to stop by here during my trips to San Francisco! There's a huge variety of pins and patches, I spent a good 10 minutes picking out and taking a photo of each pin I wanted to purchase. The family takes the time to sort the pins out onto the board and make sure you got everything you wanted. After you text the photos, you wait outside while they get the pins for you! You should definitely stop by here if you want to get a cool gift for your friends or just for yourself :) Just remember that it is cash only!

Even if you aren't a pin collector, this place is still worth checking out!! I could guarantee you'll find a pin that's perfect for you!! Since covid they no longer open up the inside of their shop, so you have to ring the doorbell and text a number to send them a photo of what you want. The large dolphin pin was $8 and the smaller one was $6.

Oriental Art Gallery is a very unique locally owned store in the heart of Inner Sunset. This store specializes in various collectibles like baseball cards, figurines, patches, and enamel pins. A lot of their stock is mainly enamel pins and that's what most people come here for. They have pins from various shows like Rick and Morty, Pokémon, etc. They also have generic ones but all of them are absolutely cute and decorative. You can spend hours here just browsing. If you see the pin you want displayed in the store front, be sure to take a picture of it to show the owner to make communicating what you want easier! Su, the owner, is a very friendly woman who absolutely loves enamel pins. She's funny, a delight to talk to, and made my experience in her tiny shop wonderful!

Starting to collect pins and this shop was a must to check out! Due to covid no one is able to come in. Instead you have to take a picture of the pins/items you want on the window and text it to the number on the front door. The price ranges from $3.99 to $9.99 which is definitely a steal! It is cash only as well. Ordered a few and will be back for sure!

This unassuming little shop will meet all your enamel pin needs! The owner is a funny, nice older woman and has garnered a huge fan base after going viral on Twitter. She knows it too because I mentioned her online fame and she just laughed, lol! People have even designed pins after her, which are for sale here. The shop is small and crowded but only because they have a huge selection of pins from newer designs you may have seen online and vintage pins. They have Pokémon pins, meme related pins, etc. Please support small businesses and visit Oriental Art Gallery :) -Pro Tip: -CASH ONLY, bring enough to pay at least $7 for each pin you'd buy (they range around 6-7$ each) -take pics of whatever pins you're interested in from the window display and then show the lady/her associate to make it easier for them to find your pin among their large inventory.

Walked by Thursday afternoon a bit after opening and they were closed! But walked by Saturday evening 20 minutes before closing and they were open! I had to rush to pick out my pins outside. There's such a great variety of pounds and little knick knacks, it's hard not to be in awe! I felt horrible for picking out pins so close to closing time but the man didn't complain at all! The ordering process was simple. You take pictures of the pins you want, send the pictures to the phone number listed, and they'll gather the pins for you. They accept cash only and you pay a crack at the door. Super cool place!

Great little family shop! The owners put a lot of effort grouping the pins together and displaying it on their front glass. Each pin ranges from $3.50 to $9.99, definitely a steal! Easily orderable, will come back soon!

If you a true pin collector, I'm sure you'll find something at Oriental Art Gallery to increase the value of your collection two-fold. The kindest owners and crazy huge inventory! You'll find anything from your favorite anime and video game characters, to cacti and succulents, I even found pins that represented Ai and Ps (for adobe illustrator and photoshop). So many cute, unique options for somewhere around $7ea. I'm sure they are closed during the Pandemic, but I'm hoping they are still able to run their business online at least.

Amazing buried treasure! I was so pleasantly surprised when I found this hidden shop on the avenues. I had to limit myself to 3 because there were hundreds I wanted. Huge selection of funny and unique pins! Super high quality and rare. Staff are incredibly friendly and I hear it's family owned. If you're a pin person you've got to put this store on your bucket list! **word to wise: cash only!**

TLDR: Cash only; Low prices; Huge selection; Friendly owner (adorable!); Quick service This place is loved by many and it's easy to see why. I adore pins and it is one of my favourite ways to express myself. However, most enamel pins I find are so expensive, ranging from at least $10-15. At Oriental Art Gallery, pins ranged from $3-8 for a bunch of great designs, which is a steal! The majority of pins available can be seen outside through the display window. There is a huge selection ranging from ghibli to simpsons to spongebob to pepe to pokemon and more. You're bound to find something you like and they make for a great gift your friends will love. I wanted so many but had to limit myself. The pins don't look off or anything. They look exactly like the characters. The pins are of good quality. I have two on my backpack and they've stayed glossy and the design hasn't worn off. The inside is small so be ready to know what you want when you come in to ask for the pins. Give yourself some time to look through and choose because there's so many! They suggest you take photos of the pins you want and show them. The owner is a cute elderly Asian lady named Su and she even has a pin and sticker of herself! She gave me a sticker with my purchase and I was happy. Her and the other worker knew where everything was and you can tell they were so organized. They were quick to find everything as a result. THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY! So come prepared. I got 10 pins which totaled to about $60. Got a bit carried away but definitely saved money in comparison to other places. Plus, I always get compliments on my pins. I adore this place and I'm glad I'm getting a great deal!

If you're as obsessed with collecting pins as me, then the Oriental Art Gallery is a place to be. This is the place that got my partner hooked on collecting pins as well. During our date in SF, we decided to stop by here after seeing others showcase their pin haul on TikTok. However, the process was different when we went as the owner is an elderly lady. As a result, the process to purchase items was different for us to be more Covid friendly and safe for her when we went. In order to purchase items, we take a photo of the pins we want at the window and text it. After that, she or whoever else works there will collect the pins you want and hand them to you with the prices written down. From there, you can discuss whether you want any of the pins you chose. Although, this process could have changed since then. IMPORTANT NOTICE: THEY ACCEPT ONLY CASH. The owner is a lovely lady named Su who is also absolutely nuts about pins. She sells a wide range from popular fandoms like Animal Crossing and Ghibli Studio to random unfamiliar pins. She also sells pins of herself and these pins range from $3.99-$10.99. The only reason why I do not give this place 5 stars is because I am unsure how she receives her stock. For instance, some of the Ghibli Studio pins are sold also on Etsy and Aliexpress. Therefore, you are paying more for a pin that is sold for way cheaper on Etsy. It makes me wonder if she's buying them from there and reselling it or is she aware of the stolen designs. I also want to give benefit of the doubt and that maybe she just sells whatever pins were given to her. She is very kind so I admit I am biased and more willing to give benefit of the doubt. So far though, the pins I have purchased from her hold up and remain to be in good quality. Although, they do have some scratches but that is okay as most of the pins I own I buy at B or C grade. I'm not as picky, but if you are then you may be disappointed. Overall, it is always a pleasant experience here.

Ask the Community - Oriental Art Gallery

Went there today at 120pm and the store was closed. There was no signs indicating if they have modified hours due to Covid. Would anyone know when they're opened?

They are currently not open. As the owner is apart of the vulnerable population, they are in the process of planning the safest measures to take to protect the beloved pin lady :)

What is even better is seeing creators from around the world come to San Francisco for the Game Developers Conference. I attended the "To the Supercell Game Changers Women Driving The Industry Forward" event at Chandran Gallery around the Union Square area of San Francisco . It's good to see the diversity of people from different countries like Finland and Germany developing games for the masses and growing their brand. I also enjoyed the space which had delicious food like sushi and an open bar with wine , curated alcoholic drinks and music to enhance the experience . A good art gallery space to see art and to attend events. The event was multidimensional and influential. The good vibes inside are contagious and the gallery space is very spacious A space for artists to display art which is courageous and audacious

Everyone celebrates San Francisco differently. Seeing a celebration for the area code of the city…read moreof San Francisco has been always part of growing up especially during my High School years at Mission High school which happens to be tallest building in front of the Dolores Park. Yes having Dolores Park as your school yard and the place to spend your lunch period and some after school activities was happening all four seasons of the year not just on April 15 or 4/15 now also known as 415 day. The corporations and other entities start capitalizing on some underground fun. Now it's celebrated throughout San Francisco with people wearing items and gear which has something San Francisco on it. How I still celebrate it is going to a park in San Francisco with a favorite adult beverage currently it's a bottle of Pinot Noir for Don Juan Pinot Noir. Whether Dolores Park or Golden Park you can represent all four seasons in San Francisco by visiting that Park Life. On an April stroll in San Francisco finding where to park on Clement street can sometimes be a challenge in San Francisco. You can see people camping out for parking spots on Clement street ( like at Costco in SF). Park Life is a store on Clement street between 3rd and 4th Avenue which has items with themes of San Francisco. You will find art and stationaries. You will also see bags ,clothing, and hats with San Francisco on it that don't look like you picked it up at a souvenir shop at the Tourist trap in SF. You will also find some interesting books inside. There is a small art gallery in the back of the store . This is a good place to get a treat for yourself or grab a gift for others and have fun at a local San Francisco park . Whether it's Golden Gate Park, Duboce Park, McLaren Park, Mount Davison Park, Sue Bierman Park, Lafayette Park, Precita Park, Bernal Heights Park, Alamo Square Park, Washington Square Park, Dolores Park, Franklin Square Park, Presidio Tunnel Tops Park or Glen Park , etc. This place in San Francisco is all about that Park Life. Born and raised in San Francisco I am straight out the"golden gates "to me it's always San Francisco and I only call it the other term which is SF I am not the one who "participates "calling San Francisco different nicknames on social media or in person"debates" I just know San Francisco is the best city in the "United States" Go take a stroll to San Francisco by the Pacific Ocean and not the" Hormuz Strait" to the day I like to "celebrate" in San Francisco on April 15 also known as 415 but there is also another" date " I partake which is on June 28th also known as the other San Francisco area code the "628"
