YELP 365 CHALLENGE 2014-(246/365) "Tourist Trap In Chinatown" If you're looking for souvenirs, this place has got it all! Located in San Francisco's Chinatown, this is a neat place to come and check out if you need to walk off dinner, or kill time before dinner which is what we did. The first level has all your touristy San Francisco/ Chinatown themed stuff(They even have fireworks!?) My favorite place is upstairs where there are tons of cool toys and collectibles. Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel, Frozen, Bobbleheads, Despicable Me...etc. they're all here with kitschy, retro, and throwback toys all in one. This is one of the spots that you can get a good laugh out of, take you back in time, and make you spend money on stuff you don't necessarily need ALOHA!!! Shaka Meter: \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ 3

Like all the other reviews for this store, it's a pretty average place. This is a great store to be if you're looking for souvenirs for a reasonable price. This store has three floors, surprisingly. I was just expecting a one-story store. The first floor was full of souvenirs, especially for tourists. It highlights a lot of San Francisco's tourist areas. They sold key chains, magnets, etc. Initially, I thought the first floor was kind of crowded and there was only one employee on the register while a line formed. The second floor was more for home decorations. The third floor had multiple selections of toys. The upstairs was a bit smaller than the rest of the other floors.

Chinese and souvenir novelties are what this place is all about. Nice to drop in and absorb the products displayed. No use for any of these things unless you're gonna go back to work and plop them on a co-worker's desk. I'm not into the trendy souvenir things but my wife loved them. Picked up gifts for the nieces and nephews.

I hit the jackpot. I was upset to see they didn't have a single Harry Potter pop vinyl to add to my collection. They have 6 cases of these filled from ceiling to floor! It was amazing. And all the boxes were in excellent collection for any collectors. Also it was odd trying to talk to the woman at the cash register. when I was searching for the Harry Potter Vinyl I asked the woman at the cash register and this is how the conversation went: Woman: what are you looking for? me: I'm looking for Harry Potter pop vinyls W: what? Can you show me? Me: *walk to the pop wall* "the pop vinyl, do you have Harry potter? Woman: what? Me: points at the WHOLE wall..* POP... Do. You. Have. Harry. Potter. Woman: no and *walks away * I was surprised she doesnt know her own merchandise when there are 6 cases filled from ceiling to floor. Also note that when you are on the top floor, she will write down the serial number of what youre buying before sending you downstairs to pay for your merchandise. Probably to know what to order more of.

Love this gift store that's been around since my childhood. It's not just a souvenir store but an inexpensive toy store. With the disappearance of toy stores, this store brings out the childhood in every adult. It's the gift shop to visit when going to Chinatown.

Scam ordered from there, they take another random package going next to our house and use the tracking on that.

Bunch of different knick knacks for super cheap. The upstairs is different than any other store because it's a well organized toy store.

Also, they carry many hard to find Pop vinyl figures for fairly priced compared to others around.

I was so glad i tried the pastrami & porchetta sandwiches at the Fatted Calf. i highly recommend those 2 sandwiches with the pastrami as the must try again. (note to self: the Fatted Calf deserves their own separate review) once we were done with lunch, we bought our tickets to ferry over to Sausalito, the ride is only 30 minutes. TIPS: seniors & youth tickets are cheaper bought at the machine. regular adult tickets are cheaper paid as a tap/go along the line boarding the ferry. provided that you have the clipper card for convenience sake. onto Sausalito, clean bathrooms past the park. there were so much to see and do in every directions. we literally walked off our lunch and people watch. check out the expensive yachts dock. i wish i could do some fishing there. overall, a wonderful day spent at the Ferry Building. it is a much busier hub now than what it used to be some 10 years ago.

What made things worse was the indifferent person at the front desk whose tone and attitude were utterly abhorrent. I walked through the entire store and I can honestly say I've seen much nicer antique stores in Arizona. They also advertise that they have a second floor, but when I went up the stairs, there was just a small room with more garbage. I don't know how they have so many reviews online but this was the most pathetic antique store I have ever visited. I don't even think you can call this an antique store. This antique store epitomizes San Francisco, an inferior damaged broken city with damaged residents who desperately want to appear classy but are broken inside. I have never been more disappointed after visiting an antique store and I'm not the least bit surprised that this experience happened in a twisted ghetto like San Francisco. Pathetic!!!

I have been on the lookout for a cool new loveseat & Dan came to the rescue with the perfect find saving me hours (who am I kidding?...weeks) of furniture shopping! There were so many cool options and Dan is a pro at helping to focus on what would work and making suggestions on home decor ideas...best experience & so easy! Big bonus that you can buy piece & have it delivered that very same week. Patience may be a virtue but it is NOT one of mine - much more of an immediate gratification kinda' gal! (*see my review on Chris Rodriguez Moving Co) I will be going back to flipp for some stellar accents (so many funky little tables, lamps & excited to see the new Trina Turk pillow collection)! I really could just move into the awesome store...perfect Russian Hill location & a groovy garden. If you have a petite place but want BIG style...this is the spot & Dan is your man!
