Tons of blind box options and displays
    Jasmin C.

Woot Bear has a great selections of blind boxes from various IPs and brands. They carry primarily Asian IPs, but also a lot of Smiskis and Pop Mart ones. They are a little over MSRP from actual IP sites, but you're paying for instant gratification lol. Love their display cases; you can purchase the display figurines! Must visit if you love blind boxes! Parking is tricky since it's on Haight.

Selection is great but I am very disappointed in the audacity of how they talk to their customers..... I have never been targeted like this before. I was looking at the mystery boxes and was planning on purchasing about four. I put the ones I was interested at the register and wanted to know which mofusand had the seal when suddenly the mystery capybara box caught my eye and I was looking at the possibilities for the box. As I was looking to see what were the potentials for the opening an older white lady directly said please don't steal from our store while I was the only customer browsing in that store area. I really don't understand how someone could say those words outright like that... kinda ridiculous to me. she lost my business and I am kinda disappointed bc I've been contemplating buying mystery boxes for a while so I already had an idea of which ones I wanted to give my friends and the smiski toilet series for myself. I would not shop here if you would like to be treated with any respect. Worst shopping experience ever :(

Blind box heaven!! On a little sonny angel shopping hunting day, and found out about this place from a friend. You cant not be happy here :) so much selection to choose from and reasonable prices compared to most places. The variety and options are also endless! Parking is street parking since the whole street is a line of shops, so just be aware of that! The works are also very sweet here so pls be nice :)) 10/10

The best place to get blind boxes. They have all the rare and hot items. I truly didn't think anyone would have the zZoton x Sanrio collab. Such a fun store!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORE! Wow what a great find! So many collectibles and desk trinkets they're just all so great I only wish the Sonny Angels wouldn't sell out so quickly Friendly workers!

It is quite literally a store completely specializing in blind boxes and gacha. They don't sell anything else really! They have an online store too. A little expensive for blind boxes, but I guess it is understandable since they are so trendy right now! They also typically imported from overseas too, so the cost could be justified in that sense too. Many blind boxes on Amazon or Pop Mart can range in price too nowadays. Here, most of the larger blind boxes were about $16. The owner was very friendly and welcoming :) KEEP IN MIND: The store is located in the crazy and bustling Haight area, so shop with caution!

SUCH A CUTE STORE I got my first Sonny Angel from there and I would definitely repurchase!

opened and sealed the bottom of bags

can't tell if fake or not but they 100% open and reseal them which defeats the purpose of a BLIND box but biggest waste of 70$

(Dec 2022) Picked up a Nanci series and very luckily got the hidden edition -happy tears-

===TL;DR=== - Blind boxes purchased: - Smiskis - Bear bricks - Nanci - The wonderful world - A bit pricier than normal - Also have an online website ===TMI=== Blind box galore! Finally, a shop in SF for blind boxes -squeal-. Be excited & step in with cautious (control yourself or precisely, your wallet) because it's dangerous. They have more varieties than other stores so far, especially ones that are also popular in other countries. They have your classic Smiski, Sonny Angels, TokiDoki to some recent favorites from 100soft and Nanci and the Secret Bear Garden series (and many more)! For those who are interested, I also spotted a Mega Space Molly -smirk-. Endless surprises so go crazy! I'll definitely be back for some more hehheh. Also, purely out of luck, I happen to opened the hidden edition for the Nanci series -happy tears-. That's a merry Christmas to me! P.S. not located in the most fabulous part of SF but manageable. Parking wasn't too bad either with a mixture of meter and residential parking if you don't mind walking.

My friends and I were walking along Haights Ashbury when we came across Woot Bear. Although the store was near closing, the staff was nice about letting us explore the store. She was friendly and let us know more about the business. Super cool to see a store dedicated to blind boxes. They carry a large collection and update their Instagram about new releases. I've been looking for smiskis and my friend was able to get her sonny angels. If you end up getting the same figure from a blind box, you can exchange it for something in the glass window. If you spend $50, you get a tote bag.

    cute display :)

I started coming again now that I got into model kit building and painting and I have a totally new appreciation for this place. Due to the small size of the store, the selection is not comprehensive, but I always find very cool things every time I come in. I usually shop for gunpla, military model kits, game miniatures, and hobby supplies like paints and glues. I'm fine with paying a bit more to support a local store, but I'm always pleasantly shocked that prices here are either roughly the same as online or cheaper! I don't keep up with anime figure prices anymore so I can't tell you if the prices on those are as competitive. I can only vouch for the model kits/miniatures/supplies. The biggest downside is the place is super cramped, but in a way it's also somewhat of a plus because I can look around at the various stacked boxes and find lots of treasures. Plus the person behind the counter (think he's the owner?) is very nice and patient.

The store offers a variety of collectible/fun items at competitive and relatively low prices. They have a rotating and wide selection of figures from various franchises that other stores in the Japantown mall might not have, even the Kinokuniya. During my last visit (12/17/2025) in particular I remember they had a huge selection of Spy Family figures and many of the Project Sekai Sega Prize figures but they also carry other merch from many other franchises like JJBA, Love Live, and MHA. The store limits its capacity to six customers at a time but that's only because they have so much items in the store! The employees are very nice and help get the items you want quickly, every item I've purchased from here has been unopened and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this store

Want to make it really fun? Be an uncle who lives in far-off San Francisco. By this I mean, the time you actually get to spend together is very special, because it is a rare treat. I have two nieces, currently both a little younger than 4 and 2, respectively. I wanted to get them something special and San Francisco-related for my last visit. Here's the rub: I know very little about children. I'm not sure what age kids start doing things, but I do know that things change quick in terms of development. What to do? I recommend Fiddlesticks to the clueless uncles of the world. My primary feedback about this store is about its service. The gentleman who helped me on my two visits could not have been nicer or more helpful. He has a background in education, and walked me through how toys and games relate to development. Left to my own devices, I would have missed the mark on a few items - so the help was very valuable. Instead, he walked around giving me a bunch of good options. And, the girls loved their gifts. They have a great selection of toys and games, definitely for the younger crowd. I would think that 7 or 8 would be about the high end for age - I may be wrong about that. They also have a lot of cute and high-quality clothes and shoes. (Although I'm a rube, so if it's clothes, the girls are getting Vikings, Twins and, to the chagrin of their U of M parents, definitely some Wisconsin Badgers gear from Uncle Adam... I might sneak some Giants stuff in when the Twins are better, I don't want them to jump ship on their hometown team. Although I almost pulled the trigger on a stuffed Lou Seal)
