Establishing SarangHello in the Outer Sunset on Taraval is honestly a genius move and adds a fun shopping experience since Outer Sunset is primarily dominated by restaurants and boba stores. SarangHello is very unique in the sense that aside from your shopping experience, they add fun cute freebies and I also love that they engage in conversations with the customers on KPop bias and concerts that are coming up. There is a sense of community walking into this store which is another reason why SarangHello is genuinely special compared to the MANY KPop stores opening up. Overview: Service: 10/10 Selection: 8/10 Value: 8/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Parking: 7/10 (doesn't count toward review) SERVICE: 10/10 The staff are always kind and very approachable! Staff are quite knowledgeable as well as to where things are or explaining the possible differences of certain albums since some are very similar to one another. SELECTION: 8/10 SarangHello has a lot of cute things to buy, whether it is photo cards, albums, keychains, photocard holders, Smiski's, Sonny Angels, shirts, etc. They don't exactly have everything right away if you are looking for something that just released or all the albums from a specific group. However, there is a good amount of stuff to choose from. VALUE: 8/10 SarangHello is pretty pricey, I'm not gonna lie. A lot of the items are $20 minimum for the most part. But again, I appreciate that for the most part, they add a lot of cute freebies with your purchases, which is nice. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Very kawaii place and very aesthetic. I appreciate that there is space within the store, and they add a lot of cute accents to the store. Of course, there are KPop music videos in the background, haha. I also love how there is a Polaroid station to utilize. I also love how there are a lot of staff recommendations and info cards on some of their favorite selections around the store. PARKING: 7/10 Parking can be hit or miss! It is Taraval and a residential area so theres a lot of residential parking and thankfully not a lot of meter spots to worry about, yet.

Such a cute store! San Francisco is so lucky to have a store like saranghello, I definitely wish we had this back home! There's so many albums to choose from, along with sonny angels, smiskis and other miscellaneous items a kpop fan would enjoy! They also have a photo booth and an unboxing table for customers to enjoy! Yay saranghello

New store, who dis? Talk about an upgrade! Since Saranghello announced their relocation, I knew I had to stop by and check out their new & improved space. Not only is this a place to buy albums... they also have tables and seating areas for you to trade and unbox albums! This is perfect for fans who want to see their photocard pulls right away. They even have phone tripods to film or take photos. Prices are pretty reasonable. About $2-3 more on average than online stores. They also have lots of offical merchandise and magazines available too. This is every k-pop fan's dream store. They get really busy when there's a concert around-the-corner, so be sure to plan ahead - especially if you need a light stick. Their website and Instagram are pretty reliable to see what they have in stock.

I can't believe this place exists! I've been a long-time fan of Korean music, mainly R&B groups, since 2008. Since I've been on the K-train, I've never seen a Korean music store out here in the Bay Area! The fact that this place exists AND exists in one of my favorite neighborhoods of all time makes this an instant home run in my book. SarangHello has a really great variety of merchandise: multiple editions of CDs, photobooks, lightsticks, and other collectable items that fans usually have to travel to LA or Seoul to in order to get their hands on them. (That or they can pay an arm and a leg for unreasonable online shopping fees.) On top of that, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Although I've been a fan for so long, I haven't bought a physical album until I visited SarangHello! I was quite happy with my purchase of "The Perfect Red Velvet" featuring the R&B masterpiece "Red Velvet - Bad Boy." While I don't think I'll be buying many other physical albums any time soon due to the power of streaming, I know exactly where I'll be shopping the next time I do!

Visited SarangHello's new, larger location during opening weekend (2022.12.17). They moved to 2050 Taraval, just down the block from their original San Francisco shop. Fun vibe, loving all the gorgeous plants - as I plant mother I couldn't help but notice them throughout the store, especially the pinstripe calathea at the register :D The new spot is so spacious that they even have tables to lounge at. A perfect place to unbox your new albums and see what photo cards you pulled. My youngest loves shopping here for all things KPOP, especially bc Sarang Hello is officially a member of the Hanteo Family, so all sales count towards the Hanteo Charts. The inventory is abundant: albums, photo books, light sticks, accessories, and so much other merch. Ask the super helpful staff for help if you don't see what you're looking for on the tables. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly. We can't wait to come back for more (also, get dumplings across the street!)

Happy New Year and happy new store! The moment I first walked in at their new location, I was truly swooned by the ambiance and impressively large space. As the true pioneer of selling legit kpop CDs and merch in the Bay Area, SarangHello never fails to impress Sarangbaes with their extensive selection. Yes, they are absolutely Hanteo certified! There are certain sections per record label, along with new releases and other seasonal items. Always be on the lookout for comebacks upon supporting your favorite groups/artists. Today, I simplified my haul by purchasing Seventeen's Sector 17 (Hello fellow Carats) and a Blackpink lanyard for my photo card ehem transit card. They also have some merch available near the cashier. After purchasing, Sarangbaes may also open their pulls at their "pulls tables". Yes, that's plural on both sides of the store. I still remember when it was a single table at their previous location (which I also miss). Kudos to Pip for accommodating me and my inquiries. Shout out to Kevin, Chesca and other SarangHello staff for going above and beyond upon connecting with Sarangbaes (both virtually and in-person) and in maintaining this exceptional treasure in the Bay. For those who would like to pre-order certain items, you may do so online or by asking any of their staff on duty at the cashier. These are based on availability and will be available for pick-up or shipping when it's ready. I'm also impressed that their store is directly accessible via the L Taraval line and is a short walking distance to/from the 29 bus along Sunset Blvd. SarangHello is truly a one-stop shop for all things kpop in San Francisco.

Thank you saranghello!!! I was greeted very happily as soon as I walked in! I was extremely excited to see so many selections of not only k-pop albums but merchandises such as plushes, keychains and trinkets! I will definitely be coming back for future red velvet albums :-)

SarangHello was one of the best K-pop shop experiences I've ever had. The Inside is absolutely amazing! They have a cute photo booth with fun filters and themes to try. From the organized albums to the large screen playing your favorite idol group performances.. it's so welcoming. The wide selection of groups and solo artists was very satisfying. I personally find them fair in pricing as the albums I bought were the same as online stores (which can be risky). Their online store option had an even higher variety of products. Although a friend of mine couldn't find the exact album she wanted, the employee that helped us was very responsive and helpful. He even went the extra step of gifting her a POB and holographic handmade pc of her bias. We were extremely impressed with their customer service and friendliness. As an OT7 Stan, I would like the to call out my appreciation for the support they've shown for Seunghan as well. Being able to see and write messages to bring awareness was awesome. I also respect their decision to pull RIIZE products off their shelves. RIIZE is 7! Overall, I am very happy with my experience and will be making them my main source of K-pop related purchases. Thank you!

SarangHello is the cutest kpop shop we've been to this side of town. Very friendly vibes and great selections, from 3rd Gen to 5th Gen groups! Per my daughter, they have great decorations and so cute inside. Around 24 dollars for albums and affordable photo cards and other trinkets and souvenirs! Super warm and welcoming environment and very well organized by staff. Loads of people hanging out and discussing groups they love...everyone is welcome, young and old! Just a great vibe! Can't wait to come back!

DO NOT BUY BLIND BOXES FROM HERE! My sister and I bought Sonny Angels from here and they were OPENED AND RESEALED!!! we asked the people at the front desk if the blind boxes were guaranteed "no repeats." They responded with they could not guarantee!!! this is suspicious because all Sonny Angel sets come with one of each. There's never a repeat !!!! The only reason they could not guarantee this, is if they were mixing the angels themselves from different sets, but how would they know that unless they open them! When we opened ours it was confirmed. We asked if we could get a Sonny Angel out of the other box that was on display that looked like it wasn't yet opened however, when we opened it, you could tell that the plastic wrap was already off the set and there was already a box missing from the set. Once we opened these when we left the store you could clearly tell that the bags have been opened and resealed!!!! There was also hot glue used on the boxes to reseal!!!! They never come with hot glue!!!!

    photo booth

The employees that I interacted with were really sweet, and the store has a pretty good selection of artists and merchandise. There's an adorable photo booth that my friend loves (however, a bit pricey, as photo booths usually are). Some unique details in this store include a free box! If anyone has albums that they would like to donate, those go to the box and other customers can browse through it. (The box has been there the past couple times I've visited, but things might have changed since.) Additionally, there is an area to trade photo cards with the employees!

Arrived with lots of bubble wrap and in perfect condition. THANK YOU!

Awesome Kpop shop | Excellent service I live in Oregon and keep in touch with a close friend who also loves BTS. She discovered this shop and has been keeping me updated with their inventory, seeing if I would like anything from this neat little shop every time she visits. It's really hard for me to say no! My friend purchased a few items for me from this place, BT21 and Jungkook related, for my daughter. This last time she helped me purchase BTS Memories 2019 full set, BTS 2 Cool 4 Skool, and Skool Luv Affair. The shop owner was very nice and accommodating. The prices are good. He quoted her a shipping price and then ended up giving me free shipping when he found out the items are being sent to me! Wow, thank you!! The items arrived quickly and were packaged perfectly. No dents, flawless. I am a very happy customer and plan to support Saranghello again. I highly recommend this neat shop. They have albums, light sticks, fun collectibles, and some hard to get items.

Digital downloads be damned, this shop is focused on physical media...CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, Blu-rays, and of course, vinyl. Even before picking up spares at Park Bowl, I recall that moment in my youth when I made the monumental decision to switch my record purchases from vinyl to CDs. Nowadays, vinyl is making a comeback among a younger generation looking for a higher quality, more realistic sound quality. I saw these Gen Z audiophiles flipping through the long LP bins in search of the elusive underground classic their stereophonic friends could appreciate and envy. Personally I could find nuggets of my own. Albums like The Very Best of Spike Jones (Photo 10) and The Complete 2,000 Year Old Man (Photo 5) resonated with me. I was happy to see individual LPs consolidated into boxed sets like the Linda Ronstadt retrospective. Beyond the music is the expansive DVD collection of movie titles both classic and obscure. There's also books and collectible merchandise like pop-culture lunch boxes and celebrity prayer candles. I'm not sure I need a candle that deifies Aubrey Plaza, but it's good to know where I can get one. RELATED - Exploring the Haight?
