I wanted to be sure the doctor's note remained in effect for the upcoming month so I was not charged. I was told it was. However, I saw that I was charged on my account. When I called, it was my word against their's and I had nothing to fall back on. I had been so pleased with them but this interaction was not positive on their behalf. They (the GM) said it was not noted in my account that I was told the doctor's note would carry me through the new month nor that I needed a new doctor's note. I did not document to whom I spoke. So, i had to pay for a month I could not use.

This Pilates studio couldn't have opened sooner. Sure, there are nearby gyms but the sole yoga…read morestudio closed years ago and there were very limited class-based places until now. So so so glad you guys are here and welcome to the neighborhood. The studio is brand new in a brand new shopping center. The studio itself isn't too spacious, however, with only one workout space and small check in section and storage area. So there may be some congregating before and after class but it'll thin out as the studio settles down. There's also active construction going on in the other retail spaces, which generally is drowned out by the music. If you're brand new like me, definitely take the intro class. I didn't even know how to lay down nor grab the straps before class but able to follow along the reformer flow class and felt confident to try flow 1.5 and cardio sculpt by the second week!

I'm doing the 2 week Challenge and waited to at least do my 5th day to really get a feel for hot…read morehouse. What I love about Hot house is that they're more structured and have more information before you get into heated yoga practice. Although an added charge, they have a road map of postures online that you'll be going through and give you insight as well as modifications if you're just starting out, it's great for beginners as well as advanced practitioners that might want to go back and review. Knowing this helped me feel less awkward and to just focus on my postures. The classes are consistent when it comes to poses. Hot house yoga room is organized with dots that you align your mat with and what's great is that they play music while you practice the poses. Beginner = Stability classes More Experienced = Hot Flow Hot house yoga, is and can be spiritual (I mean yoga itself is spiritual), I hear people say that it feels good and yes I get a good runners high at the end but I still feel like a loose noodle and not so much a stiff pretzel (which is a good thing). What I like about doing heated yoga is that it's a life changing (how do they say it...) paradigm shift. The only thing that I can possibly see Hot house improve upon is probably adding a sauna/steam room to quickly acclimate before the class. It's a challenge in the beginning but that's just me because I enjoy winter more. They have Mat and towel rentals. They offer a good line of yoga products which is with Manduka. I've had a Manduka mat and towel for years and they last a long time. The classes are flexible and affordable which is great.

in 2018, I went to my first hot yoga class at the Norfolk studio and I was so impressed with…read moreeverything about this studio and the practice. Here's the thing - the studio has a very sophisticated HVAC (heating and air flow/filtering system). I don't think I have found another hot yoga studio that provides that level of air quality during practice. Equally important are the people, the staff who check you in and the yoga instructors. Honestly, someone suggested I try hot yoga and I thought there was no way I'd make it through a class. Now, here we are 2023, and I am still practicing at Hot House Yoga. There are many health benefits when you add hot yoga to your practice. Yoga was transforming for me, and I took it up later in life. Then I tried hot yoga and I am very grateful that I found a clean and beautiful place to practice. Thank you Hot House Yoga. Namaste.

Zenya Yoga, truly stands out as a remarkable sanctuary for anyone passionate about yoga, regardless of their experience level or preferred style. What sets this studio apart is its genuine commitment to offering a comprehensive range of yoga practices from traditional to kundalini, you name it they have it, making it a rare gem where every yoga loving being can find their path or peace. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by a calming and beautifully designed space that immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere is one of serene welcome, clean, extremely spacious, and filled with natural light, they even have massage rooms, a kitchen, and so much more, creating an ideal environment for introspection and movement. All props - mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets - are readily available, clean, and in excellent condition, showing the studio's dedication to student comfort. The changing rooms and restrooms are also impeccably maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. One of Zenya Yoga studio's strength, lies in its incredibly diverse class schedule and exceptionally skilled instructors. Whether you're a complete beginner looking to build foundational strength in Hatha, an experienced practitioner craving the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, or seeking the deep release of Yin or Restorative yoga, this studio has it all. They also offer specialized classes such as invigorating as Twerkology, with Courtney Bolton, where you can dance and gain fitness through Hip-Hop choreography and cardio conditioning. Each instructor I've encountered here is not just highly knowledgeable and experienced, but also deeply encouraging and attentive. They provide clear, precise instructions, offer insightful adjustments, and create a supportive environment where you feel empowered to explore your practice safely and confidently. It's clear that the teaching team is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga in all its forms. The class sizes feel just right - large enough for a vibrant energy, yet small enough that instructors can still provide individual attention. The community at Zenya Studio is wonderfully inclusive and welcoming. There's a palpable sense of camaraderie and respect among students, fostering an environment where everyone feels comfortable and encouraged. As a new comer to the major yoga practices, aside from my introduction to yoga, due to a military sustained injury, I immediately felt a part of something special, never intimidated but welcomed and comforted by everyone with smiles and great conversations.

Kendall is wonderful, she is helping me through my prenatal journey, on both the class classes that I've tried. I loved it so much and I did get a membership. My husband's going to sign up for the 10 class pass, so he can accompany me sometimes. The square footage in this place is amazing, there's a lot of room, and everything is very clean. I feel very safe in this space. You don't have to be an extreme Yogi, you can be a beginner, or trying to find your way during pregnancy. Although they don't have any prenatal classes incorporated, they do help you with different classes, like gentle flow, and restorative yoga, which is slow enough to help with pregnant women, but any class I'm sure you can go with your own pace, and just ask for More support pillows and blocks. Bathroom is clean, the temperature felt right, as well as there dispensers smelling good and relaxing! There are several different classes to choose from, and you can join by paying five dollars for two classes, and once you get your membership, you get the first week for free. It's a great deal, and anyone looking for a new yoga gym in Portsmouth, which are very few to none in the area, this is your place to go. I would check it out if you haven't already, you won't regret it!
