It's ok. I might be overrating it because it's closer to my house than Sherwood, but it is very much the lesser of the two diners. Their fries are really bad. Like....REALLY really bad. Thick, starchy, inedible. The rest is ok, nothing great. read more

Nice diner. Not like the diners in NJ but you wont have a bad meal here, it just wont be the best diner food you have had. Seemed like it got pretty busy here. Nothing bad to say just tough to compare to the awesome diners in NJ. read more

If you are hungover: Get the Cheese Blintz meal it comes with home fries and two eggs and toast. It's fabulous can't get blintzes like that anywhere in CT Sherwood doesn't do it right even though they are in Westport. Such a good diner for that part of FFLD county. Crowded and people do not know how to park on the weekends. read more

I loved this diner .Clean , reasonable and yummy . We had Silivia as our waitress and she was a sweetheart. I ordered cheese blintzers that were delish , my husbands pancakes were too. I wish this diner was closer to my home , but we will be back . Thanks to a well run Diner. read more

Actually 2 stars for food and 4 stars for service. Orem's has been in Wilton for a long time but now is just another Greek diner serving average food (with Fairfield County prices). For lunch two of us ordered a patty melt and a chicken parm sandwich. Chicken farm was ordered with the $3.50 extras: lettuce, tomato, etc. What I actually received was a veal parm served open face (on wonder bread) with none of the extras. The veal was over-cooked with an unappetizing hunk of burnt cheese on top of this mess. Fries were unexceptional. Patty melt was, at best, just OK. Service was efficient and friendly. Too bad that the food wasn't better. read more

Orem's is a staple of Wilton. I've been going here since I was a kid, so it has my heart. The food is very good, but there have definitely been a few times where I was disappointed. I guess it varies depending on what you get, but most times, I have been satisfied. I'm not the biggest breakfast person, but they make a killer breakfast. Their pancakes are outstanding - my favorite are the banana chocolate chip. For lunch, I highly recommend the reuben. I get it most times I go. They also make an incredible cobb salad. The diner itself is spacious and very clean, and the service is fast. read more

Orem's is a solid diner with good everything. they don't knock you out, but I have never been disappointed and usually the good is downright good. I like the parm grinders, but there are lots of solid options... read more

I came to Wilton for training and saw this restaurant on the way to another for lunch. I got seated right away and the service was great. I had a chicken caesar salad and it was very good. The portions of the meals were huge and I ended not eating everything. I will come back if I am ever in the area.... read more

Very consistent breakfast options. Good lunch items as well. Keep coming back..

It's Orem's! Pretty much anything you could want from 6am to midnight. Very good food in a clean environment. Peak hours are breakfast and lunch during the weekends and any school break. read more

Solidly average greasy spoon, I prefer Village Luncheonette for the most part. But, many a night-after-drinking-omelett in pajama bottoms hath been enjoyed at this Wilton landmark. Tip: order your potatoes well done or they won't be done at all. read more

Would give this place 0 stars if possible. My mom had a gyro and definitely got food poisoning from it--probably from the sauce (~dairy-based), but possibly from the meat. I know this because my dad also had some of her gyro and also got "less" sick (but still sick) from it. Disappointed because I had heard this was a decent diner. We'll never go back. read more

As always, this local favorite delivers exactly what you want in a Greek diner. The wait staff is efficient and friendly, plus there's plenty of parking to accommodate the number of tables inside. My favorite order is a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of French fries. (Yes, I am a grown woman and I feel no shame in this meal choice.) Worth the stop if you want some quick food! read more

Meh... It was okay, but nothing to make me want to come back. I got the Blintzies (blueberry), they weren't bad, but I had higher hopes for them. I will say that their dessert section looked awesome. read more

Wowwwww! Let me first say, the food was ok. I ordered a cheese blintz and thought it was good with the apple sauce and sour cream. However...... this place will need to rethink their idea of a what a sit down restaurant is and a take out restaurant. The waiter hinted at us to leave 3 times because of the Sunday church crowd. He mentioned that there were others waiting. WTF DUDE!! I came there to have a conversation with my daughter's teacher, if I thought they would ask us to leave WHILE I was finishing up my coffee, I would have never sat down to eat. In my lifetime on this planet and going to restaurants 2 to 3 times a week sometimes, I have never been asked to leave due to others waiting. It was always implied when the check comes but never verbally asked. Don't go on a day when it's packed. No I will not be going back. There are better restaurants out there that will never ask you to leave. read more

I love this place! Now, diner food is diner food, so don't expect gourmet. That being said, my favorites would be anything breakfast related and the turkey bacon club. When you have a night (or day) where you don't feel like cooking and cleaning, Orem's is worth a visit. It's a popular place and there's always a wait during peak hours, but if you don't want to wait, do what we do and call ahead with a take out order. Orem's is also a great place to go when everyone wants something different - great variety. Enjoy! read more

Friends and I have breakfast here at least once a week. Kid friendly, enough room that I don't feel like I'm bothering anyone too much with my noisy kiddo crew. Food is pretty great...can't say I have had anything I didn't like. Pretty good variety of choices especially for a Greek diner. read more

Good food. Had a tuna melt & they delivered it perfectly cooked. No flare but that's ok as it was fast, not too crowded & good service.

Bad service. Every time I go lately my food order is incorrect. It really makes for a very frustrating dining experience when you have to keep sending your food back after waiting 20+ minutes for a table to begin with. read more

I eat at Orem's for business breakfasts and on an occassional family outing, Breakfast lunch and dinner are all winners. Despite the active business, you almost always get seated. Parking is easy and service is good. My favorites are anything with an egg in it, virtually all the breakfast offerings and greek dishes. It is always reliable and doesn't break the bank. Family ownership shows. read more

we've been to Orem's half a dozen times over the past couple of years. The food is fine for diner style although really expensive - for diner food. we've had good service and terrible service (in their defense it was very busy the day the waitress forgot two food items and overcharged us.) We don't go out of our way to go but it'll do in a pinch. read more

This is a DINER, and it is a good one at that. The food is decent, nothing spectacular. But decent and very consistent. It is not a place to go expecting a 5 star meal. But for a Diner it is very serviceable. The service, despite other reviews, is good. I'm sure some people have had bad service, especially when it gets busy, but I have not. The entire place has a good family vibe, and the staff is attentive. read more

I've eaten here for years. The service is great, the food is delicious, and the pricing is incredibly wallet friendly. The ONLY diner I will eat at ever again. They are so clean and the food is cooked perfect every single time. The parking is convenient as well. Great Greek Diner. I highly recommend it! Try: Mozzarella Sticks and Curly Fries! Salmon Florentine is SOOOO delicious! Greek Chicken Slovaki (sorry for incorrect spelling) Platter is YUMMY too! read more

Found a HAIR in my soda hanging over a dirty glass ...Brought to the attention of the manager ..Unapologetic and flippant..Loss of appetite..Will not be going back there , but conditions definitely needs to be reviewed by state. The transportation of multiple dishes of food , stacked in the arms of the server, is quite unsanitary. read more

I have lived in area for 30 years but lately the food has gone down hill. Besides that the owners are very nasty and unaccommodating - I don't think they realize that they are in the service business. There are too many better places to go to eat... I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO OREM'S!!!! read more

Shame on the lazy employees here with no chivalry. Today there was an elderly woman struggling trying to make her way to the restroom. The waiters all zipped and flung around her not ever offering a helping hand or asking if she needed assistance. read more

Classic diner food - love their burgers. While the table service is pretty good, their checkout system needs some improvement. Every time I've been there, there is always some delay and confusion at the register. As I went to pay the other night, the host / manager was on the phone arguing with a customer about reserving tables and managed to misplace my check seconds after I handed it to him. He was so entangled with the conversation that he actually thought I didn't give him the check yet. Then he asked me to point at the table I was at and he was able to figure out what I owed. I knew the total and he did manage to get it right...but still...very unprofessional. read more

Not good. Breakfast ok. Go to the Post Road diner on CT Avenue if you want good, reliable diner food. Orem's is overpriced and the food isn't good. I am saying this from years of experience with the establishment and I'm beginning to wish that I had quit long ago. A waitress recently won an $85,000 judgment against the diner for harassment (the owners let it go on for years) and the wait staff is just ok. If you want a good burger try The Little Pub nearby. While they don't have breakfast, their food is excellent and the beer choices numerous. read more

The food is so-so, but the service is rude and the décor/atmosphere is nothing special. I have been here several times b/c I liked that I could order breakfast food to go, and I kept hoping the service would improve. But I kept having to deal with the same guy at the front counter. (I think he may have been the manager.) And he's really uninviting. read more

We have eaten here many times and had dinner there last night. Both of our meals were just "OK". The quality of the food has recently declined significantly compared with past experiences. I think it is a solid breakfast diner but they should stick with what they know. read more

Dropped in for a quick bite on a Sunday night. Like a Wild West saloon, felt like everyone stopped eating to stare at us when we walked in. We were seated then ignored for around 10 minutes. A waitress was sitting right by us at the counter, doing nothing other than eavesdropping on my daughter and my conversation. At one point she turned and spat something aggressive. We had no idea what she was talking about and looked at her confused as she continued berating us about what she thought we had said. Suddenly she seemed to realize she had clearly misheard, and she apologized. Apparently (she explained) an older regular had walked in and sat in front of us who had soiled himself and she thought we were talking about it (we hadn't noticed and had no idea what she was talking about). Her apology didn't make up for the bad service, unfriendly staff, and lackluster food. Oh, and they got my order wrong. Oren's used to be a wonderful diner but everything about this was awful. I will never set foot in there again. read more

It was late night and this was the only place open. Based in the Yelp reviews, I knew it was a risk but we were hungry and tried it anyway. The place closed at midnight, we got there at 11pm and only one other family was there. They had started cleaning so there was a very very strong smell of cleaner. It was very overwhelming and very unappetizing. We ordered french fries and a meatball sub. The staff was very nice and we did not have to wait long for the food but I ordered to go because the smell was killing me. Our hotel was a 2 minute drive. When we got the food it was about what I had expected . . . the french fries were limp, I could tell they had been frozen and then reheated. The bread for the meatball sub was okay, although it was burnt on the outside. The meatball themselves were just okay, I would not be surprised if they were also frozen, and the sauce tasted like Ragu . . . which is not terrible. Overall it did the trick for a late night meal but it was mediocre at best. I would not eat at this place if there was another option but if you are looking for some late night food and are not picky then I guess this could be your spot. read more

Don't go here alone. They will treat you like a second class citizen. Food is so so service horrendous. They just don't care about the party of one. Your just taking up space to them. read more

The food is good - not great but good. an average diner. in this area there are far better options for diners. My main (if not silly) complaint if that they have no kind of crayon, placemat, kiddy activity. They have the kids menu and high chairs but no kind of kid mini entertainment?? I always thought of that as a diner standard! Heck all restaurants usually have something these days. read more

This place is constantly packed, and its extremely expensive for a diner but then again it is Wilton. The food is pretty good but the price for something as simple as a turkey club is too steep. read more

Fairly typical diner food. Great for breakfast, fun place for teens to get together.

The chicken parm grinder is a fantastic dish. But I have never enjoyed anything else on the menu. They are priced fairly and serve great milkshakes. The service is wildly inconsistent from visit to visit. Sometimes, they are slow and rude. While other times they provide top notch service. Overall, I'm always happy to go there and never regret it. read more

The split pea and yankee bean soup of the day are yummy. Any of the vegetable of the day in marinara are great as well; everything else is just okay. read more

One of the best Diners I have ever been to. Have been going since I was a kid. Owners are very nice and they have the absolute best oatmeal (as long as Jimmy is back in the kitchen making it), and breakfast. In a quiet town with not much going on this is the place to eat if you want a casual quick meal or you are just driving through! read more

This is our local diner and it is a very average diner. I have never had a bad meal here but also have never had a meal that I thought was amazing. It works great as a local place to go, it is consistent and my children like the food. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but I'm glad it's close. read more
