Today March 29th I placed a new car ad in our local newspaper after removing it just days before since previous buyer could not optain financing. With in the next hour I had received 3 text messages inquiring about it of which I messaged back. One of them texted "I'm Interested in you 2021 Toyota RAV4 on KSL CARS. Is it still available"? I responded " Yes it is". He responded any accidents? Then texted again I would like to buy it. I can meet u at your bank or mine (Wells Fargo) near u. Can we do 34500 cash. I didn't respond since he called me 2 minutes later. Ask about the car I told him it was almost perfect shape it was my father in laws who passed away and had the title no loans. He said I want it I am with Brent Brown dealership will you take 34500 I told him that I had it sold previously for more and an offer also for more and that the least I would go is 35000 he said fine and that he knew what we had paid for it but was willing to pay that. I then said I don't need to sell the car but if you want it for sure don't waste my time. I asked if he needed me to bring it down to look over it and he said no and asked when could we meet? I told him I was golfing until 2 then we could figure out a time. He said he wanted to pull the original sticker but I had it and sent him a copy. I also sent him a copy front and back of the title and a picture of the extra key. Never heard back from him so sent him a text asking if " I am going to meet you at Brent Brown"? About 15 minutes later responded by text " So my boss just overrode me on this one. He does not want to be 2500 over. I texted back "I don't care what your boss said you said for sure you were buying it and I told three people that I already had sold I'll call your boss. I'll call Larry and have a chat with him". (Fyi a friend at another dealership said to call Larry he is the GM). Then he replies "Xle premium's range from 32000 to 34500. Its not my fault u have one that's in the lower price range. And if u want to threaten me this conversation is over. I dont care who u call. It wont affect me one bit.Then my text back " First of all I'm not threatening you second of all you were the one that offered me money for it you were the one that is a dealer had the Vin number knows what the car is and what its worth it's not my problem I don't work for Toyota I specifically told you if you don't want to buy it I don't care but you said yes I want it for sure I even asked if I need to bring it down to look at it and you said no you don't need to so don't get upset when I make a call above your head. He then texted " Your welcome to call whomever u like. It's a meaningless call. U also told me you had someone else who offered a little more than 34500. Why dont u sell it to them instead of wasting your time on a worthless phone call. After that I have not responded. I was going to call the dealership but since he said it is a waste of my time I decided I would just write this "meaningless" review. I don't believe Brent Brown Dealership in my opinion would approve of this kind of treatment especially Brent Brown himself ( who I have met personally). I personally have owned and operated dealerships and sold thousands of cars and never would I allow an employee of mine to conduct business in this matter. I have taken numerous vehicles here for years now (Tundra, Camry and Tacoma) for regular servicing, maintainence and safety/emissions. Nearly every time, they will tell me something is about to break on my vehicles and that I need to have it repaired before it breaks. I then take the car or truck to my family trusted mechanic who 100% of the time has found nothing wrong with my vehicles. Today, 03/27/2017, my wife went in to have her safety and emissions done on her 2007 Toyota Camry. They told her she passed emissions but did not need a safety inspection. They told her they could not renew her registration (they always do it on the spot for me). After that they told her that her water pump was about to go out and that she was leaking a large amount of oil. So of course she calls me and I tell her to take it to or mechanic right away because she is leaving to California tomorrow and needs to take the Camry. After a few hours he called us and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the water pump and there was not an oil leak (just a wet spot with no dripping). So then my wife took the car to the DMV to renew but when she got there they said YES YOU DO NEED A SAFTEY INSPECTION. So not only did Brent Brown Toyota LIE to my wife about the condition of her car, they did not complete the PREPAID services she needed to renew her car and would not help her do an on the spot renewal. This process has taken from 10am until 5pm currently and she still hasn't been able to have them do the safety inspection when she needs to leave for California at 4am tomorrow. I am absolutely fed up with their service department and probably will quit taking my multiple vehicles there read more

1 star is NOT deserved! This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. The deal was really simple and the sales and finance staff at Brent Brown found numerous ways to complicate an otherwise simple transaction. My friend was trading in her old truck for a new one. We asked Brent Brown to handle the in/out on the deal so she could get the max value of the trade on her new truck. It was a simple paper shuffle 6 weeks ago and after numerous phone calls that weren't returned by the finance guy that did the deal and his propensity to lie to my face the times I did manage to reach him, I am still unable to register my truck out of state. Brent Brown lost the title and had to apply for a new one in UT. Three weeks ago I was told the title had been mailed to my local DMV office. Another lie. My recommendation... Austin did a bait and switch on Thursday November 12th. Advertised a new 2021 Toyota Corolla LE that got 52/53 miles to the gallon with a push button start with a VIN number. When I agreed to buy and came in on Friday morning, the car was being detailed and didn't drive it before signing. When I drove it a couple miles to show to my brother and reached in the glove box, the window sticker said it got 33 miles to the gallon. When I contacted Kyle who was helping me via Austin I was told that I got the car the VIN number was tied to which was a regular gas engine. It was $4,000 more to buy the hybrid. It left a really bad taste in our mouth even though we love the car. Loved the car, hate the way we were treated. Kyle showed me the changed KSL classified ad. It was NOTHING like what I saw on Thursday. The least Brent Brown could have done was give me a good deal, but no there were cars advertised (same make and model) that very night Friday that was much less than what Kyle assured me was the best deal they could offer. Our experience was not a stellar one! I didn't see any bending over backwards for us. Took a week longer than promised to install a few options, felt pressure to add on unnecessary added a Warranty - then to top it off it has been a month and we still haven't received the paperwork, the Signature didn't go through all the colors so they asked us to come Back in AGAIN to fix their mistake. Next time I will make the trip to mark Miller Toyota ... it would have been worth the short drive! read more

Horrible service, the service people lied to my wife when she took my 4Runner in to check on some things and do some service. After an inspection they stated that the brake pads were almost worn out and needed to be replaced. I had them replaced some time ago but nowhere near long enough ago to need replacing so I told her not to do that work. We took it to another shop and asked them to replace the pads. They called me back and said they were still fairly new and weren't even close to needing replacement. Also, they really overcharge to replace spark plugs. I should have done it myself. read more

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID! I'm usually not the one to write bad reviews but I'am completely is disbelief with this dealership. My husband and I purchased a car from Brent Brown Toyota in Orem on January 19th. Right off the bat we started having problems ( engine light turned on, slow tire leak, windshield wiper sprayer doesn't work, spare key doesn't work, automatic start doesn't work.) the list goes on. I took it back and told the General sales manager at the time the problems we were having and he said that to wait until our "warranty was valid" so over 30 days to fix anything so I did. Skip to yesterday, our Jeep Grand Cherokee died. DIED PEOPLE!!!!!!! It doesn't turn on, anything! AFTER LESS THAN A MONTH! I went in today to talk to them and they say I need to sign more paperwork. Interesting enough they are now trying to change our monthly payment to almost $200 MORE A MONTH!!! And to top it off the finance guy who sold us our "fully covered warranty" said that we didn't actually have that warranty plan but would change it so that we did to make us cooperative!! So they wanted us to wait the 30 days so that they wouldn't have to pay for anything and if we did just wait for our warranty we would've been screwed because the warranty that was actually sold to us literally covers almost nothing! I would not recommend them to anyone!! They are shady and crooked and tried to take advantage of a young married couple! read more

I do not recommend Brent Brown Toyota. About a month ago I traded in my Jeep Wrangler for a vehicle that's better on gas and got extremely screwed over. The deal was to trade in my vehicle and keep me in the range of my last vehicles monthly payments with 0 down. Brent Brown sold my Jeep without the deal being finalized. The vehicle still isn't paid of and they don't even have the title. The finance guy lied about how the papers were drawn up saying I had a co-signer when I didn't. "I signed the papers without a co-signer present." Now a month later we are still dealing with it and they just came back and said now I need a down payment. I am still having to pay for my jeep last month and this month when I don't even own it. This whole process has became a headache and if it's not one thing it's another. The worst part is I'm having to call/getting my calls ignored for updates on what is really going on. read more

Sadly, I have to give this place just one star. I did not have a bad experience when I was there or the many times I've been there in the last three months. But I am giving them a one star review because of the time consumption and inconvenience their services have caused me. Everyone was kind to me all the way from the nice old man that drives the shuttle. I had my tires replace here and alignment done all at the same time. My tires since I left have never been able to maintain and hold the proper PSI. I've taken them in multiple times and they can't seem to find the problem on why they keep going low. At first I thought just because it was the winter and the cold would play a part in it. It is now almost June and every other day I have to drive to a gas station with an air compressor and pay to fill it up. Almost like clock work 48 hours later and the "low pressure" warning sign comes on. I've even been in Arizona in 98+ degree weather and the tires still get low. It is so annoying to drive with that light on and unsettling knowing my tires are low while I'm driving on I-15. I am extremely upset because this is the first time I've ever had tire problems. I've had my tires changed at multiple Toyota Dealerships in Idaho and Utah and this is the first time this has happened. I would like my tires replaced because I'm so sick of the time consumption this has caused me. Driving with low tire pressure is so bad for the wear and tear of tires and decreases the life of the tire significantly. I can already see these tires have worn out much faster than usual. I wish I would have avoided this dealership in the first place . I paid 900 dollars just to have so much trouble. read more

If you want to deal with a car dealer that follows Utah laws and does not try to make you pay for their negligence, don't go to Brent Brown Toyota. We purchased a Highlander from Brent Brown on Dec. 2, 2017 and traded in our Ford F150. Its been over 45 days since we made the deal and Brent Brown has still not paid off our Ford. Utah law states that a car dealer has 7 days to notify the lien holder of their intent to purchase. Brent Brown Toyota did not contact Ford until Dec 18, 2017, over two weeks after they took our truck in trade. Due to their mistreatment of our contract, we are in the last 120 days of the lease and there is now over $4,000 in extra charges that Ford wants us to pay. If Brent Brown Toyota would have done their job properly, we would not be in this situation. We were told by Brent Brown himself he was going to sue us and "take us to the mat" for his poor business practices. Save yourself the headache, anxiety and possible lawsuit and purchase somewhere else, where they follow Utah laws and have integrity. read more

I purchased an "inspected" vehicle in 2010 from Brent Brown Toyota - they reassured me several times that it had been thoroughly inspected and they would never sell a "bad" car. One year later, they are telling me the engine has too much "sludge" due to lack of oil changes and needs to be replaced. $7000 quoted for a used engine to be installed. Obviously the car was not as inspected as they claimed. So now i'm out the amount I spent on the car, and have to pay 7k for a new engine if I want to keep driving it. read more

For everything these guys do right, they do several things wrong. When my check engine light came on, one of the managers (John?) sent me to a different garage to have my catalytic converter replaced. The other place could do it cheaper and faster. So that was good. And John was very nice. A few weeks later, I got the recall letter for Corollas. I took my car in and they repaired the problem. In the process, they knocked out a dash light. They also told me to replace my rear brakes. I took my car to Les Schwab to have them check the brakes. They told me that the brakes aren't even close to needing replacing. This tells me that BB Toyota wanted me to have them replace the brakes and give them a bunch of money when it wasn't necessary. Real nice. read more

Place is a piece of dirt!!! My sisters car broke down and we had it towed here at 8:56AM. Called before the tow truck came at 7:55AM to give them the heads up as to what happened and they said they could squeeze us in. We explained we were not from Utah and had to head back to Denver today since we had work the next morning. The mechanic we spoke to (George) told us it wouldn't be a issue, but when we got to the dealership after our doctor appt. at noon they still hadn't even ran a diagnostic on the car. The mechanic George than went on to tell us he hadn't even gotten the vehicle till after 10AM. We called our tow truck company who then called their driver and he explained to us he dropped it off an hour before then. We have now been sitting in the service department for over two hours and still have yet to hear from anyone about our vehicle. We have been stranded at this crappy dealership since 8:56AM and no one is being helpful. I would NOT bring your car here, yourself here, or your child here! The whole team here is unhelpful and incompetent! Don't waste your time or money!! SO SO happy I will never have to step foot in here again! read more

Can't believe this just happened! We recently moved down here from Salt Lake, and since it's close by, I thought I'd check out this dealership for an oil change on my Prius. After a few minutes of the service man collecting information on the car, he began taking my personal information. When he asked my address, I asked him, "How complicated is this going to get? I just want an oil change." He didn't answer but walked out from around the desk, right past me and over to my car. He told another worker to remove the plastic cover from my seat. He ripped a service tag off my keys and handed them to me saying, "It just got really easy, get your oil changed somewhere else." Alrighty then. What was that all about besides feeling empowered? No explanation of his needs for my information. No idea he was about to snap. All I know is that this ego-filled retirement-approaching man showed me who was boss because he didn't want my resistance to being controlled during his routine. I have never bought a car from Brent Brown Toyota, but I have taken my car to be serviced at Brent Brown several times. Although I have received service from helpful and kind employees, I mostly receive service from employees who act in an unprofessional manner, and are at time belittling. Recently, I dealt with one such employee. This employee explained to me that if I did not receive a tire alignment, I would ruin my car. He was overly persistent, and I felt as if he looked down on me because I was not getting an alignment right at that moment. I decided to view competitors rates to see if I could find a better deal on alignment services. I found a competitor who was willing to do the services for $40 less than Brent Brown. When I took my car in this morning, the employee at the competitor told me my car had no alignment issues, printed out a report of what they found, and proceeded to explain to me what the chart meant. Because of this event, I feel that not only is Brent Brown Toyota over priced (just check out competitors' prices regarding basic maintenance if you do not believe me), but I also feel that Brent Brown is dishonest. I would not recommend taking your vehicle to Brent Brown for any type of service. read more

BUYER BEWARE...If I could give a zero, I would. That is the customer service I received from Brent Brown Toyota Service Department. I brought my Prius from Wyoming to have the battery pack replaced while I went on a week-long river trip. It was under warranty and I knew they would need about a week to get the replacement battery. When I dropped off my car, I explained that my brother, a mechanic, had already diagnosed the problem down to which cell was the culprit. At that time, I also ordered hood decals I needed. Later that afternoon, I got a call from the mechanic, saying there was nothing wrong with the battery pack, but my 12 volt battery need replaced. Strange?? I informed the mechanic that the 12 volt battery was less than one year old and should be under warranty, since I bought it from a Teton Toyota in Idaho. I really quizzed the mechanic about the battery pack, again repeating that my brother was a mechanic and we had diagnostics and code numbers. He held firm. Stupid me, I felt bad that my car was going to be there for a week. When the mechanic suggested a few other things that needed to be done (total recommendations would have been around $1200), I opted for a "complete fuel injection service" for $181.00. My brother informed me later this service was totally unnecessary. Just an unethical mechanics way to make money. My bad! I should have called and confirmed with him beforehand. But I felt guilty. When I came back to get my car, I was handed a bill for $482.52. Remember...I was quoted $181.00. I went over the bill and looked at all the ADD ONS. Did not authorize them, but I needed to be home that evening. (6 hour drive) Adding to the insult of being scammed, the bill stated I had declined a new 12 volt battery replacement and they had replaced all the hood stickers and hood emblem. NOT! When I got back to Wyoming, I took my car to Teton Toyota, which is where I should have gone in the first place. They were as baffled as I was as to why Brent Brown Toyota did not replace the battery pack under warranty. They did, because two cells were failing. And Nothing Was Wrong With The 12 Volt Battery. I don't know why Brent Brown Toyota chose to deal with me in such an unethical and thieving manner. Maybe because I was not from the area, or that I am an old woman or just because that is how they choose to do business. My advice,again...BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

Bought our used Sienna van on July 14, 2016. It needed a few things fixed. They said they would take care of it. Nothing big, a rock chip, floor mats, touch up the paint and a clip in the bumper. Went to pick it up a week later and it had a dent where they had put the clip in the bumper. The salesman, Todd, all but called my husband a liar and swore it had always been there. Why would we ask for a clip in the bumper and not ask for the dent to be fix if it had if fact been there??? Other work was also not finished. After a heated discussion he agreed to fix it. They called a week later and said it was all done except the body work but we could come pick it up and they would have a body guy come fix it in our driveway at a later date. What????? I said NO all work will be done before we pick it up. Almost another week went by. We finally got our van last night, August 2. The work looks great and we are happy with the vehicle but the service is CRAPPY. The finally straw came as I was driving home and noticed I was on empty. You would think after all that they could at least fill the tank! This experience sure took the fun out of our new vehicle. read more

I figure the service department could have taken advantage of me but they came back with just a few minor issues.
