Friday is their 10% off day so you can save even more when shopping here, and you know your money is going to a good cause as opposed to the big box hardware stores in the area. The parking lot is a little small and can be cramped on weekends, but it's not too bad during the week. There's a bathroom in the store but I haven't been in it so I can't comment on it, but it didn't look like it was coded or locked or anything like that. There are even used tools in decent condition, and occasionally artwork, appliances, lawn hardware and more. I wouldn't compare it to Goodwill though : they are fairly picky about what they accept as far as donations, and there are no clothes. As someone who's both donated and bought here, I'm a fan. Prices are more than reasonable and you're saving this stuff from going in the dump.

There is also a better selection of clothing, footwear, outerwear and accessories (purses, backpacks, hats, and jewelry) here thanks to the evolving student body. If you need a book for a class, their shelves are bursting in all genres. I found a beautiful Indigenous children's book, a handful of modern Little Golden Books; including Dolly Parton, Elvis, and The Golden Girls, and several vintage The Far Side books by Gary Larson. One of the cushions still had cat hair on it, and after brushing it off, the donations associate said "We have cat allergies in the building, so we need you to clean this sofa and bring it back". We took it to another place to donate and they took it immediately. I'll still shop here lots but I certainly won't bother donating in the future. Sorry Restore Store!

They recycle usable building materials and sell the rest to help fund their local projects. The Restores have a lot of fun things to look at. It's changed a bit over the years and I miss the wood products such as trim and doors, as well as tile. They carry more furniture and smaller items now. If you are interested in re-habbing vintage furniture this is the place for you...many nice wooden pieces to choose from. Things to know: they have an extensive offering of recycled paints, new and used tools, and hardware. In another section of the store they have a cute vintage items and kitchenware shop (spotted a new Cuisinart popcorn popper for $10.) And they no longer accept cash as payment.
