Gresham is the new kid on the block between the 4 Restores. Here's how I rate the 4 affiliated Habitat Restores (in order) Washington County/Beaverton #1, Portland #2, with following close behind Gresham #3 and Clark County trailing in #4. Here's what's to love about the Gresham location: spacious store, super organized, neat & tidy, lots to chose from in each department. Always great staff & volunteers! I come here quite often as it is in my my disability Scooter. I love getting out in the sun and I love going through and looking at the items that are refreshed daily. They were doing some moving around and remodeling the way the floor is laid out today. It was a little difficult to get around on my scooter. But they seem to be doing as a little disruption as possible for the customers enjoyment. I really do like come in here. The people are generally really nice. Every once in a while, they'll get a volunteer that seems to have his head work shouldn't be, but that's excusable. I still see your value in coming to this location. read more

I'm giving it a 4 star because this was my favorite store to visit, but I just read the comments and how the store is dirty and employees are rude. What a change from what I remember, haven't been in a couple years but I'm going today in memory of President Carter. I'll buy something f someone needy if nothing else. I just went online to find out what the hours are and ended up going down this rabbit hole of bad reviews, which has never, ever been my experience at this location. The place has a little bit of everything, I found an Eileen Fischer purple turtleneck for $4 that I used to sell at Nordstrom for $138! Please don't change your prices, the love of the great find is what brings me back time and time again! The people have always been kind and helpful, I'm not sure what any of these people are talking about! And I'm a regular! Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep coming back! read more

I have gone here many times "just to see what they have" and come home with some wonderful treasures. The latest was a set of cabinets. Not only were the people helpful, but when one man realised he had just started pulling out the wrong set, while another employee was helping me pull the set I bought, he cracked a joke and laughed and then put things back and continued to help stage everything at the door while my husband went to get a truck. No complaining, no rudeness. I've never encountered employees like what some of these reviews are describing. People usually ask me if there's something specific I'm there for and direct me if necessary. Heck! They even hig five you when you a markdown price % of the day!! It's a donation center and it's all usually building materials. If the place is not "clean enough" for you then go buy brand new retail. People are moving things around and organizing the place constantly. read more

I called to donate an Acorn Chairlift I purchased 5 years ago. I told them they could have it if they removed it. They informed me they really wanted it, but didn't have the manpower to remove it. I told them I would remove it if they'd come get it. This chairlift works great! It has 2 remotes, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Button on chair works perfectly and it folds nicely. The chair is like new. I've tried 4 times to get them to pick it up but I never get a call back to schedule a time. I guess they only want things if YOU bring them in. I still have it. My wife and I always frequent this location for many household things for fix ups and little decor items, but we will never return to this location after today! An employee "Dakota" made me incredibly uncomfortable first laughing in the face of DEAF customers and waving his hands in their face when they made efforts to communicate with ASL, my partner made and effort to look an an item inside a bag in a case which was unmarked when Dakota came over and yelled at her like a child. I wanted to verbally barrage him so we just left instead of spending the money we usually do. Never again. This is not the first time I've seen an employee verbally mock people inside the store. My mother and I visited the Habitat for Humanity ReStore today on 181st as we so often do but no more. We have to agree with Kendall L. Prices have gone through the roof. Books have gone up from a $1 to $2 and $3 and yes, Dollar Tree items marked up to $2 and $3 as well. Some items not marked at all. I asked about a candle that wasn't marked but an identical one was marked $1 that I left on the shelf due to it having a fragrance but same size/brand. I asked the cashier what she wanted to charge me. She said $2. When I told her that the identical one on the shelf was marked $1 she informed me that she said $2 and that's what it was going to be but I had the option to say no which I swiftly did. I can't get over how rude she was. Never have we ever been treated so poorly in this store and we always left feeling good from past visits. Well not this time around. These folks have gotten to big for their britches. I've donated tons of stuff as has my mother. All good quality items that were not cheap to begin with simply because we did not want to hassle with a garage sale. I'd give them no stars if I could. They just lost our business tonight. read more

Have gone to restore for bookcases and they are highly overpriced for what they are. I have gone to store to find a few bookcases and I would have had to pay 489.00 for two Bookcases that were highly overpriced. We will head to goodwill instead - it's clean and organized. read more

This place used to be a great place for bargains for household items-reasonable prices and a free pile. It is pretty terrible now. The prices have gone way up. Tons of dollar tree items marked at $3-4 dollars. They essentially got rid of their free pile. When I sent a message to the corporate to ask why they said they still have one and all the stores are supposed to. But a long time worker confirmed they don't. She said they just turn away more donations or put some they don't want to bother with straight into the trash. And a few of the full-time workers just are not friendly at all. If you look through the reviews all the good reviews are from a few years back. read more

Wow! Bargains galore and quality clothing for cheap! I will not go back to Goodwill after shopping here. Clean, well-organized, and even clean restrooms! We called for this company to pick up some used furniture and when we sent them the pictures they said it was good for pickup when they arrived they said they couldn't take any of it due to dog hair and that there was a little bit of wear and tear due to it being 9 years old and still in almost great condition. Another thing is that we would've had to pay them to take our used furniture so they can re sell it for more? I don't recommend giving your used furniture to this company as they only care for the "good and easy" type of money and work. read more
