I became a patient of Dr Gene Thompson. First visit, he was patient and listened well. since I…read morehad lost considerable amount of weight and was experiencing dizziness, I questioned my blood pressure medicine. Did I still need it? He said we can do a lessor strength. He wanted me on a statin, which was expected. I told him I tried a statin before and experience muscle pain. Again he mentioned a lower dose. I agreed to trying a lower dose. I left feeling satisfied that my concerns were addressed. By the time I got home the pharmacy had my prescriptions ready. After standing in line for 20 mins it was my turn. Two prescriptions, no cost. All positive energy hmming along. I get home and open the pharmacy bag and retrieve my two prescriptions. They were both the exact same prescriptions, same strength I had previously! i send him a message expressing my disappointment. I had also brought with me to the appointment two months of daily bp readings that he never looked at. In his reply, he defended the prescriptions he wrote and acted like his opinion shouldn't be challenged. Shortly after that I found a new doctor. A young female who listened to me.

I've seen multiple providers at Springfield Family Physicians and have always had excellent…read moreexperiences. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Jason Keister was the complete opposite. During my appointment on August 16, 2024, he told me that I had a "small heart attack," but that it was "very small" and not to worry. He then sent a cardiology referral based on that statement. Later, when I reviewed my medical chart, I found three question marks (???) next to my diagnosis with no explanation. When I requested a correction to my record and asked him to clarify what he meant, he suddenly changed the story. He denied ever mentioning a heart attack and replaced the question marks with "TIA," which has nothing to do with cardiology or the reason for the referral. This did not reflect what was actually communicated to me and only created more confusion. I've had nothing but great experiences with other doctors in this clinic, so this was shocking and disappointing. In my personal experience, Dr. Keister was careless, contradictory, and dismissive, and I would not recommend him to anyone who needs clear communication or accurate documentation. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about their care.

I've had no issues with OMG, while there's not a hospital facility around that isn't sometimes hard…read moreto contact, I haven't found that to be the case with OMG. My care has always been very good and getting appointments has not been a problem either. I e been a patient for about 15 years and have been very satisfied all around.

Would give zero stars if I could. Massive failure. First OMG randomly cancelled my biologics…read morechemotherapy, which endangers my life, but then they randomly dropped all of Dr Balsam's OHP patients without notice. When he retired they refused to reassign his patients and said "we aren't accepting NEW OHP patients", nvm the fact I've been with the practice for 20 years. The letter I received about his upcoming retirement said to call for further steps. I did and they said they can't tell me anything about further steps, can't reassign me to a new doctor, and I have to wait until he actually retires to see what happens. Fast forward a couple months and I call with a serious health concern and request to be seen, don't care by who ( in the past I've always just been scheduled with the crescent clinic), and was told "your doctor retired and we don't take Trillium so you're not our patient anymore, we can't see you." Incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and unethical behavior. Will be reporting to the Oregon medical board. OMG used to be a great clinic. Since Optum took over, they've become a dumpster fire. They also badly mishandled my Dad's treatment for years. They were giving him biologics chemotherapy for his condition as well, with zero oversight from any sort of doctor, and failed to have him overseen by a rheumatologist - the rheumatology clinic here failed me as well and is a total joke. He finally got his treatment handled through Slocum and is in much better shape now. He said he wasted years with OMG mismanaging his condition and unduly suffering due to their incompetence.
