Septembe 25, 2025…read more To: Vanessa Johnston, FNP of GPS Clinic, LLC; 1605 Oak Street, Eugene, OR 97401 Fr: Dwight A. Janssen, Patient Re: Pending Neurological Assessment Due to Headaches and Lack of Brain Oxygen for 3 1/2 months. On May 9, 2025 you prescribed Clonidin and I began taking two pills at bedtime and one pill 8 hours later, then reduced that to 2 at bedtime. The dosage was 0.1 mg tabs and the prescription was for 90 pills. On June 3, 2025 you again filled this prescription for an additional 90 pills. Also, you should have been aware that I was taking two other medications for many years to lower my blood pressure: Lisinopril, which was 5 mg tabs and taken once each day, as well as Norvasc 10 mg tabs which was also taken once each day. You were also aware that my blood pressure was an issue after you read the cardiologist report from PeaceHealth Hospital after I had failed a stress test that you ordered in May, 2025. Since the PeaceHealth cardiologist failed to discuss any issues with me personally, you and I decided it was best to consult another cardiologist at McKenzie Willamette Hospital due to significant heart symptoms. You then facilitated an appointment with Dr. Stephen Wall on August 12, 2025. My first meeting with Dr. Wall was a personal consultation and I knew immediately that this Doctor was very knowledgeable and honest. However Vanessa, he disclosed some information to me that was extremely disturbing and something you had NEVER addressed with me. He was extremely concerned over the fact that Clonidine is a drug that significantly lowers an individual's blood pressure! This means I was taking 3 different blood pressure medications and 4 pills daily! Dr. Wall ordered a nuclear test of my heart and tested my blood pressure laying down quietly, which was normal, and then standing up at which point my Sys. number dropped by over 30 points into a very dangerous zone! After this appointment I stopped taking all the blood pressure medications and tested my BP on a daily basis. The results are attached and clearly demonstrate that I was in very bad shape. It took 12 days to get those 4 pills out of my system until my BP returned to normal. Since I had gotten back to normal my cardiologist recommended that I start taking Lisinopril again, which I did. Once off the BP drugs I noticed an energy level improvement but still had chronic headaches. During this period from May 9, 2025 to August 24, 2025 I was consulting with you on a weekly basis and was very forthcoming and descriptive of what I was going through. Honestly, I was scared to death that I might have a heart attack or worse during that period from May 9, 2025 to August 24, 2025, which amounted to 3 1/2 months of extreme suffering. I informed you during this time I was experiencing headaches, possibly fainting, weakness and fatigue, cognitive issues from a lack of oxygen to my brain, some nausea, and heart palpitations. Since this lasted more than 3 months, I was extremely vulnerable to experiencing shock, organ damage, heart problems, stroke and chronic headaches from a lack of blood flow. In fact, I couldn't walk more than 20 yards without feeling the above symptons and having to sit down for 5-7 minutes to let my heart slow down so I could continue walking. I believe the fact that I'm now experiencing chronic daily debilitating headaches is a result of that lack of proper blood flow. If a patient is experiencing these symptoms for an extended period of time like I am, it is totally advisable that I consult with a neurologist to get an evaluation of ongoing debilitating headaches. My problem was that my caregiver, Vanessa Johnston, absolutely failed to advise me on all the repercussions of using a drug like Clonidine with my existing meds. Any medical caregiver who doesn't properly understand all the attributes of a particular drug has absolutely no business prescribing this drug for her patients. This conduct represents medical malpractice and a total lack of understanding of the most basic ethical standards for any medical practitioner. I will be consulting with an attorney. Sincerely, Dwight A. Janssen; Email: Dwightj1@comcast.net; Phone: (541) 485-5771

I went to this place because I have been taking pain medication for years because of chronic pain…read morefrom neuropathy and arthritis but my regular doctor quit prescribing for chronic pain. Vanessa treated me like a drug addict, even though I had been taking the same small doses for years, she tried to get me to do ketamine and I kept saying no. Finally she used a corrupt drug & alcohol testing company, Millennium Laboratories that has been fined 256 million dollars for giving out false test results for Medicare patients like me. The other company that she used at first was honest but she decided to believe the dishonest company so I quit going to her.

The solution did knock out the problem...but hot flashes are a no-go! So back to the drawing board. I have no bad feelings toward them at all. We have ruled out the bladder, female insides (ultrasound), other hormone issues (either normal or negative), so it's not something that can be easily fixed. I suspect that there's some sort of internal miscommunication between brain and body that can't easily be fixed, based on how my symptoms act when my symptoms were acting. Sometimes, there is no cure.

He said we can do a lessor strength. He wanted me on a statin, which was expected. I told him I tried a statin before and experience muscle pain. Again he mentioned a lower dose. I agreed to trying a lower dose. I left feeling satisfied that my concerns were addressed. By the time I got home the pharmacy had my prescriptions ready. After standing in line for 20 mins it was my turn. Two prescriptions, no cost. All positive energy hmming along. I get home and open the pharmacy bag and retrieve my two prescriptions. They were both the exact same prescriptions, same strength I had previously! i send him a message expressing my disappointment. I had also brought with me to the appointment two months of daily bp readings that he never looked at. In his reply, he defended the prescriptions he wrote and acted like his opinion shouldn't be challenged. Shortly after that I found a new doctor. A young female who listened to me.

I make my yearly Medicare physical appointment a year ahead of time, they cancel it three months before, tell me that I cannot get another with my doctor until next year (it is June now), but they would be glad to make me a telehealth appointment....Isn't an annual checkup supposed to actually check things like blood pressure, heart rate, listening to lungs? apparently not if we are going to do it over the internet. I have had notes in my chart telling me that they are referring me to a specific practice. I hear nothing, so I call the practice. they have not received any referral, so call OMG, turns out they referred me to a completely different doctor, even though it is clearly stated in my chart where the referral is for. I am then told that that is just the state of medical care here in Oregon, so deal. There are things my doctor understands that are not in my chart where the whole point of having the same doctor is that there is continuity, not having to start over every time you go in. But of course, that is just the state of the medical process here in America,is what they tell me. I never had these problems in California.....
