Our experience with Oregon neurology associates has not been positive. Our neurologist, who I won't mention, actually was in possession of a list of medication's that Insurance was known to cover. Three appointments and $1500 later this office is still attempting to schedule follow ups to make another $700 off an office visit. Each one of these office visits is an attempt to try another medication that they know full well insurance does not cover. Excessive office visits + insurance billing for meds they know aren't covered = big revenue. I would not patronize this business. Billing and tacking on excessive charges is their priority. April 12, 2026 I mistakenly went to Oregon Neurology for help with extremely debilitating daily headaches. My expectation was that I would see a Neurologist but without any disclosure whatsoever I was only seen by a nurse. She did not help me in the slightest and I left the office totally depressed that my expectations for some results to improve my daily suffering just did not happen. Also, after filling out tons of paperwork prior to my visit and submitting it to them, I was informed by the receptionist that all my efforts in providing personal information was lost! Due to my headaches I have been slow in responding to their bill and I just received a letter from them that I owe just $60 and if I didn't pay immediately they would hire a COLLECTION AGENCY TO GO AFTER ME !!! I found this type of total disrespect for their clients to be repulsive and greedy. All I can say is find another option to deal with your neurological issues. In conclusion, this is a disreputable business that is totally failing to meet the needs of their clients. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that in some cases a significant number of their reviews are in the POOR CATEGORY! As a community I feel it is important for all of us to Boycott Oregon Neurology Associates in order to make it clear that we will not tolerate a business that consistently abuses their patients. Let's facilitate the process of driving them out of business and leaving our community! Also Note: Oregon Neurology Associates charges a significant amount of money for their services. This means that a significant of their patients have wasted not only their own funds but also wasted the money of their insurance company without any satisfaction with the services they experienced. I am posting this under a friends account, in fear of being canceled as a patient. I have read several reviews where patients were retaliated against by Oregon Neurology due to a negative review. I have been a patient at Oregon Neurology for over a decade. The neurologist I see is a phenomenal neurologist that I would highly recommend. The office staff and billing department are horrible to deal with. They are constantly changing their policies, and threatening to cancel appointments if you do not abide by their most recent policy changes. Recently, I showed up to my appointment, to be told the Doctor called out sick. My appointment was later in the afternoon, and they never called me to inform me of the cancelation. When I asked why I was never contacted, the front desk receptionist told me that they called me on a specific date (which was 10 days in the future) to inform me about my appointment. I asked her how that was possible, as the call would have taken place in the future. I asked what time they supposedly contacted me, and she said there was no time stamp. Due to previous issues with their billing department, I called the morning of my appointment to pay the full out of pocket cost after insurance for my appointment that day, to prevent having to deal with their billing department. At no point during the phone call, which they gladly took my money, and were well informed it was for the services that afternoon, was I informed that the doctor was out. It wasnt until I showed up for my appointment was I informed the appointment had to be rescheduled. They then had to reschedule me 2 weeks out, under an "Emergency Appointment", which was the soonest they could get me in. If I could give them zero stars I would. There was no flexibility trying to work with my schedule, as I had already taken time off for the appointment I showed up for. I was told, "this is all I have". I find it very interesting that if I were to no show for an appointment (which I never have), I would have been charged a fee. Oregon Neurology is horrible to deal with, however, I hands down recommend the neurologist. read more

Anything but patient centered care. Negligent care at best. Doctor McFaul and the rest of the staff have no priorities other than getting your insurance copay. They must not be paid well enough because they can't stop looking at their watches during appointments to get to the next one. Hand delivered medical documentation to be reviewed so the "specialist" could help us, he hadn't even consulted any of our documentation until the second visit. Didn't listen to any patient concerns or seem even remotely interested in the wellbeing, care, respect, or even life of the patient. But you can bet he was more than happy to schedule a follow up later, even though he actively told us repeatedly that there were no more tests he could do, nor was there anyone locally he knew he could try to send us too... other than OHSU which has a year wait... and we have been waiting for six months already and were "lucky" to see Mcfaul. After being sentenced to homelessness and a further exponential decline in my wife's health due to the lack of interest in her case, I reached out to the office for a social case worker, or even management that would provide a higher level of accountability and help us find care. They told me to submit a complaint card. I wouldn't recommend going here if you are dying because they will simply get as many billable visits out of you as they can before you keel over dead. I've been to specialists across the entire state of Oregon, and Oregon Neurology and Doctor McFaul are the most prejudice, dismissive, disrespectful, negligent, and unethical "professionals" I have ever had the unfortunate luck to share a room with. If you have any pressing issues and need medical care, please don't waste your time or tears here. They do not care. read more

Be prepared to be given wrong information repeatedly concerning billing and more. False information about coding, and months of effort on my part to correct an issue. I was given 5 minutes of the doctor's time and charged as if it were a half hour. Also charged like it was an in-office visit instead of telehealth. Incredibly disappointed. read more

Giving the staff the benefit of the doubt by making the review on the positive end of the spectrum instead of the lower end. I talked to the receptionist and she was pretty rude. Jabbered like I was a nuisance and wouldn't tell me how long it would take to be seen. She even said, "Send that referral over or go at your own pace if you want." Go at my own pace? I need the answer about how long it's going to take because I don't want to waste my current doctor's time sending referrals over just to find out they can't see me 6 months later. I saw a review that said the staff was friendly, they must have meant the nurses and other doctors because I don't think that person had the same experience I had just now. read more

I have decided to come back later with words. But I will say my 1 star is due to our most recent experience with some of the office staff, the largest difficulty and most negative would be from the Office Manager her self. We have had complications over the last 1.5 years. My wife has been going there for 27 + years. In our view something major has changed in this office. read more

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Frank, at this medical office. We have been very happy with his professionalism, his integrity, his skills and insights. He is specifically a pediatric neurologist, but there are many others that work at this office that have all kinds of patients. Definitely a 5 star rating would be more appropriate for Dr. Frank! This office is attached to the largest hospital in Eugene/Springfield, so it is well located, very nice and spacious. The one issue I have had with this office was one phone call on which I was placed on hold for 40 minutes, when I finally had to hang up and not get the assistance I needed that day. This was a one time experience, but it was so frustrating, I had let the office know about it, and am waiting to see how they handle it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Normally, I have not found this to be the case, they generally have answered their phones in a timely manner. read more

We transferred to ONA from OMG Neurology, and what a difference! From the pleasant waiting room to the polite, efficient, and helpful staff, I am well pleased with this office. But the real star was Dr. Ferguson, who spent a lot of time getting to know our situation and challenges. Prior to the visit, we had felt out of options, but she gives us hope that there may still be some mitigating treatments and quality time while my husband is battling an irreversible neurocognitive condition. I felt that she is interested in having a personal connection with her patients. I reserve the right to upgrade to a five-star review as we proceed in her care. read more

Dr. Herring at this office is just wonderful. He has been patient with my questions and issues that have come up with my health. However, I've given only 3 stars because the front desk women are probably the worst I've ever encountered in a medical office. Even with a phone call, the rudeness is amazing. The nursing staff and check out staff are first rate, but I'm not sure what is going on with the front desk. Since they are the first contact, I would think they could improve their attitude. read more

First visit with Dr. Frank and I can't believe he's a doctor who works with children. He was in a hurry, didn't listen to parents concerns, never spoke with our child, didn't believe us that he was having increased seizures, (he has epilepsy and multiple other diagnosis) brushed off our concerns, responded to our questions with a question, showed no empathy or compassion. His concern was getting out the door to the next patient. As he walked out the door we were left even more confused than before we got there. He stood up, told us he was changing our sons meds (no explanation why) said call if he has side effects AND HE THEN SHUTS THE DOOR!! Terribly sad bedside manner and we're talking about a dr who treats children! read more

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Sara Batya's at ONA since Jan. 23rd, 2015. We have had many visits to see her and her great staff and Assistants. We have been treated so kind and with so much respect, from guiding me through the paperwork and the computers to each person we encounter. Dr. Batya was very very efficient, open and made us feel very welcome....she included my daughter, myself and George for consultations and testing....taking our information and treating it just as important as their own information that they gather. We have never had to wait very long...and they are all so efficient in the care of George and treating him like he was very important to him....as well as his progress and his health! When I have to call, there is so little waiting time as in many other phone calls to organizations I have to make. We give them a 5 star rating for sure! I hope the new area where the Dr.. will be going, will be just as efficient. Thank you so much, Dr. Batya and your team of experts!
