A tester came out in early July and, due to some overly enthusiastic spring mulching, 'couldn't find' my back flow device (its in the same place it was last year, I guess the company doesn't keep any notes?). Instead of knocking on the door or calling, he filled out a form saying they couldn't find the device but that they would contact me to reschedule. It's now late august, they have not contacted me to reschedule. I get that the company might have a policy about not digging around in customers' mulch, but i think it took me less time to clear the mulch after finding the form than it took the technician to write it out. Why fill out a form and leave instead of even trying to contact the owner?

I've used Paul to do my backflow testing since I moved into the area 6 years ago…read more Last year the backflow test failed, and I was told I needed to have it resolved before this years test. The problem is the developer planted a tree in this area, and the roots had made it very difficult to access the unit, essentially the irrigation box was completely surrounded by roots. I opted to work on clearing this area around the backflow unit myself, and got the area mostly cleared before the inevitable disaster occured, and I broke the water line. After having the Water Shut off I got a hold of Paul. He came over and capped off the irrigation line so we could turn our house water back on. He then assembled a new backflow unit for me and (since I opted to self-install) walked me installing the new unit. The following weekend I finished clearing out the roots, installed the unit, and let Paul know I had finished so he could test the new unit. He was a huge help, he went above and beyond in service, and his price was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

My water company is threatening to shut all my water off if my backflow test doesn't get done. On 7/12/2026 I sent an email asking when the test was going to be done. I got no response. On 7/15/2026 I called and got a voicemail. I left a detailed message and never got a call back. It is now 7/20/2026 and the test still has not been done. I'll be hiring a different company to complete the work.

Our toilet tank was giving us all sorts of issues, but the main culprit for it leaking continuously…read morewas a failed rubber flapper...or so we thought. We almost went with another company but they charged a $90 service fee and couldn't give us a ballpark estimate over the phone. Not knowing if the job was $100 or $500+, it was hard to commit. After calling around, Beaverton Plumbing stood out- they charge by the hour with no service fee, were friendly from the first call, and were able to schedule someone for the next day. Our plumber, Paul, came by and swiftly replaced the flapper, noticing a couple of other failing parts as well. He recommended changing them out without being pushy, and the parts were very reasonably priced ($45 for a new fill valve and supply tube). He completed the work in under an hour. Unfortunately, over the next few days we noticed the tank kept refilling every 3-5 minutes, and we were losing gallons of water a day from what seemed like an unresolved leak. I called Beaverton Plumbing and they sent Paul back out, charging only a "continuation of service" fee rather than a full new hourly rate. After digging a little deeper, he found a leaky gasket and replaced it, and also fixed a wobbly flush handle that was affecting the fill. We were relieved not to shell out another $300, and this time, the issues were fully resolved. A couple of things worth noting: - They charge an $8 fee for credit card payments and don't accept digital payments. Their processing system seems a bit dated... our plumber had to call the office to relay my card info over the phone. - There's no tip option, which I'd encourage them to add. Tipping is optional, but it's a standard way to recognize service that goes above and beyond, and we would have loved to show Paul some extra appreciation. Overall, we were very happy with Beaverton Plumbing. Don't let other reviews scare you off. Like any small business, sometimes you just have to take a chance, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Today, April 2, 2025 - they…read moreboth went out of their way to accommodate our somewhat complicated situation regarding our toilet replacements. After discussing the job and confirming what could be tried to remedy the flange problems, Jack got right to work and never stopped working until the job was completed. The Owner was awesome in making sure I was getting the best person for the job and following up with me to make sure I was happy. We still have more plumbing needs at our home and I plan to continue to work with Beaverton Plumbing, especially if Jack can be part of the mix. I'm out of water so I called both. I am an electrical guy and had 'start' and 'run' capacitors on hand and swapped them out. (I am also cheap and better to pay $8 now from Amazon then $35 later from 'the man'). I turned on the switch and nothing happened so I thought "crap, it is the relay and I could not find that part number so I am screwed! Call the repair man and bend over for the service charge on a Saturday afternoon!". 15 minuets later Hillsboro pump calls me up. Jacob came out in an hour. Hit the fricckin' reset button and tried not to laugh! I completely forgot there was one... He said I need to quit being a cheap "F" and buy a new control box. I told him they are $400 on Amazon. He quoted me $199 if I buy from him. No Charge for the service call (even if I am an idiot). New customer with a control box on order-DONE!!! (Still waiting for Phillips to return the call...)
