I had not had a massage for many years so I was a somewhat nervous as I did not know quite what to expect. I was greeted by Ava, a charming and beautiful masseuse, who quickly made me feel at ease. She asked me a few questions about my needs for a massage, led me into the room and told me to undress to my level of comfort and left the room. When she came back in, she lowered the lights to set the mood, started to work on my back, giving me an excellent deep tissue massage to work out all of the tension from the problem areas. An experienced masseuse, she even asked what else she could do for me to heighten the experience. We discussed some options, made a decision, and what followed was incredible. Ava was AMAZING! Absolutely perfect! The best massage ever!

They have more of an assortment of snacks versus the Natures granola bars now. There's a bit of a sell of products at the end of the facial but not too pushy... no samples to offer which is tough to sell with pricy medical grade products. Thuy the RMT is amazing at addressing any concerns and offers stretches to help with issues after. Tried out the new location in Langley. Spa is beautiful. Super bright and airy and big too. Booked RMT- unable to book online but was able to book via email with response promptly. RMT is only through one therapist which is only on Tuesdays... bummer, I hope there will be more options later since places like Spautopia has many RMTs so it's easy to have a spa date. Lounge is beautiful- so bright ... only wish there was an option for it to be dimmer for a more relaxing... nap inducing experience. There's some snacks and water/tea availab Massage was lovely. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Registered massage therapists on high heels and mini skirts?? Really??…read moreIf I can give NEGATIVE STARS, I would definitely do! They will charge you first before giving you a massage. They will call you on the phone saying this is the price of the service BUT NEVER MENTION that you need to pay cash, otherwise they will charge you more. I told them I will pay with card no matter how much it is, but they insisted on me giving them cash, so I walked 1.5km to the bank on a cold winter day just to get their petty cash. They're very unprofessional, speaking and yelling in chinese while giving you a massage! It's supposed to be relaxing not stressing with all that yelling, duh?! After all the massage is done and after paying cash, they asked for a tip, they won't let me go unless I give some, and they refuse to give me a receipt without a tip! What on earth was that! I was more stressed than relieved! Good reviews might be fake, see for yourself! PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS KIND OF BUSINEESS!

JJ Spa was very good value for the money. It isn't fancy, but there is a lot to enjoy: a dry sauna,…read morewet sauna, hot and cold tubs, an ice room, yellow sand room, charcoal room, and my absolute favourite--the salt room, where there is actually salt covering the floor and you can lie right on it. I had never experienced a yellow sand room before either, so that was something new for me. One thing I especially liked was the temperature of the heated rooms. They were hot enough that I definitely worked up a sweat, but not unbearably hot like some other spas I've visited. I could actually stay in them and enjoy the experience. I also had the Korean body treatment that included a salt scrub, oil massage, cucumber face mask and shampoo. It was very good and completely different from a typical spa treatment. One of my favourite parts was having buckets of very warm water poured over me--it felt wonderful. My only real complaint was the treatment table. Since there wasn't an opening for your face like on a regular massage table, I had to keep my neck turned to the side while lying face down, which I found uncomfortable. I realize this is a traditional Korean spa treatment, so it may simply be part of the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a little more explanation during the treatment about what was being used, especially the different oils, but the person doing my treatment was very busy and there really wasn't time to ask. I guess this is the Korean way. I don't know but wanted the authentic experience. One other thing is that I they have you pay upfront. I paid, but I did not leave a tip. I told them I would do that at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed JJ Spa. If you're looking for luxury and fancy surroundings, this probably isn't the place. But if you want a good Korean spa experience with lots of different rooms and treatments at a reasonable price, I think it offers excellent value.

This is my first time to Korean spa in Canada. I was looking for descent body scrub and this place…read moregave me the experience what I had in Seoul in Korea. The facility is dated and needs more improvement. I needed a paper cup for water fountain at relaxing room, shampoo and body soap at shower. A clock in the sauna. Receptionist was very friendly since I called them booking. The body scrubber, Cindy was awesome. I had basic scrub 30 min for $60. When the booking time comes, the scrubber came to hot tub area to call the TIME, not name. If she called your TIME, head to the bed. I was wearing swimsuits but over the curtain, Cindy asked me to change paper made panty. That was awkward experience but understand she scrub every inches. I think 30 min was good enough for it. Last 5 min, she gave me quick facial with lavender infused steamed towel and gel. And neck and shoulder massage. For spa corner, I would say the salt room is my favorite. After the scrub was done, I changed to provided lounge clothes and stayed in salt room for a while. Just lay down on the mat and let the body soak the minerals. It's bit lighting down and quiet room and perfect for napping. Slightly warm but not hot like sauna. About billing. The charge was $60 for scrub. $25 for spa facility. And paid some doller for scrub mitten that you can use next time. That was fine. When I checked in, they asked me to sign the waiver and pay. That was fine too. But tipping machine showed whole cost included price. I paid the tip against for only the scrub service. Tipping should be like that.
