These cabins come with a private hot tub, a BBQ grill, and a nice patio. Our cabin had a nice view of the sunset and the Deer Harbor Marina. The location is very quiet, peaceful, and remote. It is about a 20 minute drive to the town of Eastsound, where all the major restaurants and businesses on the island are located. The location is also known for having deer walk around the property at night time. The cabin also had a few basic kitchen essentials, a microwave, a Keurig, dishes, utensils, and a wine opener. The TV had a full range of streaming services to choose from. The cabin was small, very homey. We loved the hot tub and the views. It was perfect for our getaway. Matthew's Smokehouse, a BBQ restaurant, was right next to our suite. I honestly wished this place was cheaper as we paid around $200/night and they add a nice $500 cleaning fee on top of everything else. I believe this is very expensive for what you get. We had a nice stay, but will probably look elsewhere to stay the next time we visit the islands.

We should have planned better. Hopefully you will :)

This is a great place to stay. We have been doing VRBOs in Friday Harbor and honestly, in our price…read morerange, we got WAY more for our money at Bird Rock. It has steps, indoors and out (I found the outdoor steps easier on my bad hip) and it's just a lovely place - nicely decorated and SO clean. Our room was Fidalgo, we had a big soaker tub and kitchen area, I loved having two places to watch tv since sometimes one of you can sleep and the other is enjoying vacation insomnia time. ;) Out back, a walk through a parking lot takes you to King's Market which had everything. We did not find the hotel loud, but they offer earplugs just in case. The mattress was great, seriously- firn enough but with a soft topper or something, we both slept so well.

Oh, man. This is a tough review to write. First off, there are so many things I really like about…read morethis hotel. The location is great - close to everything in Friday Harbor but not on a street with as much traffic as some others. The customer service is great - just send them a text and you get a response in seconds. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room interior was good - everything looked clean with plenty of toiletries, cozy robes, and a heated bathroom floor. The bathroom in general was dated. We had a non operational jetted tub that had been converted into a duel faucet rain shower. It was rather weird, but it worked. I also really liked the keyless entry, so no worries about losing your key! Now, my one negative. Our room, and I'm assuming all rooms on this side of the building, abut a loading dock and parking lot for an adjacent grocery store. Every morning at 5am, a semi truck, fork lift, and workers unload the truck. In addition to back up safety alarms, truck engines idling, and workers talking, you also hear the constant rumbling of goods being unloaded. This goes on for HOURS.....starting at 5am. The hotel gives you ear plugs and notes that there is no noise ordinance on the island and notes that neighbors can be noisy and the hotel can't do anything about that. I get it...you can't control noisy patrons or neighbors, but the description given doesn't really convey what is actually going on with this side of the building. Constant, very loud noise and alarms for over two hours starting at 5am. All that said, I would stay here again, but I would make sure any room I book has views of the harbor, and not the back side of the hotel.

There wasn't anything quirky or super cool about the place, but it's nice and comfortable. The management folks (they are new, took over in December, and are updating units) are really nice and accommodating. If you are a smoker, they don't allow smoking in any rooms (including the decks) or in the courtyard. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely go back.

Beautiful view of the bay and a nice balcony to sit on for morning coffee and evening wine. The bed was SO comfortable and the sheets and blanket soft. We slept very well with beautiful cool breezes blowing in. The only critique I have is the kitchen was not very well stocked. Normally when we rent a BnB it has basic spices, foil and plastic wrap are usually available. There was nothing to wrap Leftovers in. I know it's a small thing but a few extras like that would be nice in the kitchen. All in all it was a nice place to stay and everything was within walking distance, we would stay here again

My friends also had difficulty sleeping due to the bed quality and the cold from the thin walls as well. Room quality: I got upgraded from the Lighthouse room to the Oar House which had two beds to choose from. It also was missing the main blind facing the outdoor seating area. Even with the thermostat at 70, I found myself shivering in the middle of the night due to thin walls (I could hear the cars zoom by from the back of the house in the room and the windows were single paned). The bathroom wasn't connected to the room, rather it was across the hall that required stepping outside into the cold, though still under a roof. There are no channels to watch, only DVDs which I counted there were 36 to choose from. There was no VCR to use but a bunch of videos to choose from. WiFi is not accessible in the Oar House so I was told to go to the room where breakfast would be served to get any internet, which was across the backyard into the other side of the house. Food: it is all frozen food that you heat yourself. There were Schwann's omelets, pancakes, sausages, frozen Greek yogurt and eggo waffles. The cereals available were mini wheats, raisin bran, corn flakes and others. There is a keurig that only had coffee available. Overall the view is beautiful and the decor is very nautical and unique with pictures of Oggie during his fisherman days also it is 5 min driving to the ferry. But it isn't worth the $135 a night due to poor sleep quality from thin walls and frozen food. At $50 it is definitely worth it just for the view itself but the location isn't in walking distance of anything except for the ferry.

We called Auggie at the very last minute, around 8:30, and he was more than hospitable. He turned the heat on for us ahead of time so it was nice and warm when we got there, and Jason gave us a thorough tour of the property upon arrival. In the morning we ended our trip with tips and a hug from Auggie- "once you stay here, you're family". Such a highlight of our trip, and we will be sure to be back if we are ever lucky to make it to this beautiful place again.

It's a beautiful property, with lots of interesting activities to see and do nearby. It's immaculately clean which is always appreciated. Best part is the pup upfront that helps greet the guests. As for things that could have been better - we paid extra to switch to a "Mountain View" room. Mountain View is a stretch. So much so that we asked the front desk about it and she seemed offended that we even asked. The view was of the parking lot and adjacent building. I felt that was a bit misleading.

We were given the San Juan Suite. What WONDERFUL accommodations! The suite has two full bedrooms and a small room with a double bed on the renovated side porch (I chose that room, because of all the windows), two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and deck with a private jacuzzi! WOW!! I felt so pampered! Every morning, Gene brought breakfast to us in bento boxes, and everything was so yummy! My favorite was the poached egg and Canadian bacon with tomato and baby asparagus on thick toast, accompanied by granola and peaches with yogurt. We had ordered milk and orange juice for breakfast, and when we arrived found that the refrigerator was stocked with a fresh quart of each for us. There was also ground coffee for the coffeemaker and a fine selection of teas. We dined well! The furnishings in the suite are elegant and retro without being dated, while the kitchen and bathrooms are completely modern. Even with four people, we felt that there was ample space for us all. Our beds were all quite comfortable, and the temperature controls could be adjusted room by room so that each of us were guaranteed a pleasant sleep. The grounds around our lodging were gorgeously landscaped and beautifully maintained. It was wonderful to wake up in the midst of loveliness every morning! The Inn & Suites are just a few blocks from downtown Friday Harbor and the ferry landing, so we were able to easily walk to all the local attractions, shopping, and restaurants. That was a hidden benefit because parking downtown was often scarce. To say our stay in the San Juan Suite was idyllic would be an understatement. It made a wonderful vacation even more wonderful by giving us a place to return to and relax in comfort and elegance. I am DEFINITELY returning to the Tucker House Inn & Harrison House Suites!
