Why do I go to Rosario Market?…read more For one, it is in my neighborhood and is conveniently located on Commercial Ave in Anacortes. Secondly, the people are extremely friendly. Some of them even have learned my name. It is a personal experience every time I set foot in the door. They remember faces so, for example, you do not have to show your ID every single time you buy beer because they just remember you. Third, they have an amazing beer selection. It takes up half their cooler space. They have lots of craft beers you can find only in the grocery store if you are lucky. They also sell and fill growlers. Fourth, they refrigerate their 2-liters of soda, which means that they always have cold soda ready for any party or very thirsty individual. Rosario Market is always bustling with activity with cars swooping in and out as people meet their needs fast and easy. The lines (if there is one) are always quick, as they are experts at taking care of customers fast so that they can be on with their day or night. If I changed one thing about the place, I would eliminate the fifty cent charge on credit and debit card usage. If you can, pay with cash, and you will not have to worry about it. Overall though, I give Rosario Market five stars for excellent service and selection.

Surprisingly large selection on basics, good quality produce and lots of beer & wine selections…read more While some reviewers will say the store is a bit expensive.... I say it's absolutely in-line with island prices and reasonable for the locale. Had fresh bread, good veggies and bagged salads, had a few types of beef and pork to chose from and a shockingly good selection of beer and wine. Like.... a whole Isle of good quality wine!!! Service was friendly and super convinenet to use the dock cart to wheel provisions down to dinghy or boat slips. Pro tip: they don't sell spirits.... you can get those directly across the street at the home goods store (odd, I know) for a fair price. Note: Home goods store is open far less hours from grocery, so ensure they are open before you provision for your Margarita Sunday.

Luckily, the Roche Harbor store is a handy dandy little spot that carries an impressive selection of everything from canned food to veggies to alcohol. Are the prices the same as you might find at a mainland supercenter? Heck no. But, if you're in need of provisions, this is one of the few easily accessible (by boat) spots in the islands to stock up and be on your merry way. The cashiers here are also incredibly helpful and friendly - eager to answer any questions or even laugh at your lame island jokes!

In addition to a variety of goods made in the Pacific NW and California, Blossom carries the island's own Barn Owl Bakery's marvelous breads and pastries, along with the truly excellent organic produce grown on Lopez Island's Horse Drawn Farm. Yes, some items at Blossom can be pricey, but the store carries items you can't find anywhere else. Blossom also offers weekly sales. The new location is a real improvement over the old store, which was somewhat hard to find unless you knew where it was and, during its last years, really outgrowing its space. Having spent time up on Lopez now for the past several years, it's great to see Blossom's growth and continued committment to healthy foods and products.
