We are currently in a battle with Orbit Leasing because they won't release our Title unless we pay for it. The vehicle is already paid off! We are in the middle of trying to get a new car and need the Title released into our names in order to trade it in. They just keep giving us the run around. I have been with Orbit leasing for a years. Creature of habit. I had only 2 payment in all the years that was late because of the pandemic. They cut my car off if I don't pay by 5:00. I work 3rd and sometimes don't get up until 5:30. They call me when I'm 2 payments ahead saying payment is do every week regardless the worst. They lost a great customer. Last year. Update on my review. So, after I got the vehicle that same day my check engine light came on, but since it was still under warranty I went ahead and sent a message to Janelle and also made a claim with Precision Claims about the incident. The bext day I was tild to go to a mechanic to do the diagnostic of it, they sent me the mechanic details and everything. To cut it short, I was taken cared of right away and my battery was even replaced with a new one because I had it insured.So kudos to Orbit Leasing for making this transaction smooth sailing. I got the car back yesterday and didn't pay anything. They just hand me back my keys and I was off. read more

Orbit leasing is a joke. They don't care about anything other than their bank account. They sent me a over payment check that i did not receive due to the ex wife burning it. The 2 options are get a notarized letter from my ex saying she burnt it, or wait until it gets turned over to the state. So apparently they are incapable of canceling a check. They will go through anything to get there money, but won't lift a finger to give you your money back. Honestly if i had the original check why the hell would i go through all this bull shit to get another check. They are pathetic!! I had to put my vehicle in the shop about 2 weeks after getting it off the lot. Within 4 months of having my vehicle I had put over $2,000 into the vehicle. They do not work with you when you get behind after having to pay for repairs. This company is a rip off and are only in it to line there pockets with your money. They are a joke of a dealership. Orbit Leasing is an auto financing service that seems to work almost exclusively with Car City, a car dealership next door. They specialize in financing for those with bad credit. If you can avoid them, do it. Their rates are astronomical. For instance, on a car with a sticker price of $6,000, I have calculated that when all is said and done, I'll have paid Orbit Leasing over $10,000 in payments at almost $300 a month for three years. Plus they insist on fitting your car with a GPS device that can disable your vehicle, and disable your vehicle immediately on a late payment. Usually as soon as the next day. This has more than once stranded me at work, or at another location when all I was guilty of was having a payment slip my mind. Also, the GPS device drains my brand new car battery, causing it to go dead after only as few as 4 days without being started. I brought my car in and complained, only to have another device installed that does the exact same thing. I complained to the BBB, only to be called aside when visiting Orbit to complain about my GPS device by a manager badgering me about my BBB complaint. Insisting that they have no power to help me with my car, which is a lemon, by reducing their astronomical fees. They said they could only give me a loan of money for major repairs that I would have to repay with interest and fees. Yah right. If you can get traditional financing, do it. Avoid Orbit Leasing like the plague. read more

I have been with Orbit for 2yrs now, Yeah...I have had 2problems with them 1 minor 1 major: A: as long as you called ahead to make payment arrangements they would adjust it with you...the shorter time I have with them it gets harder to make arrangements for that month..I dont know if it is because I make regular payment arrangements or because I am getting closer to my ownersip date B: I had brake problems for awhile in which I had to bring my truck in 3x for the same problem! Honestly, if you can avoid any used car dealership then do it like the plague but especially ones like this. They are definitely a rip off type of company and if you end up getting repossessed like we did, you end up holding the bill and still have nothing to show for it! It's shere greed and corruption!! That seems so cheesy and honestly shows a complete lack of respect and zero motivation to actually see something through but thankfully, I don't think the judge was very pleased with them either so as long as they are paid before the court hearing of May 18, we don't have to do another hearing with them, thank God!! And they will be!! Honestly though, I didn't even know that was a thing to just be rung into a Court Hearing!! I think they were trying to not only get out home heating credit which they garnished but also keep having us pay during that entire time so basically, they get all the money owed and some! I noticed that when they were trying to get us to come to court, they said we owed way more than we did! Luckily, I had requested the balance at one point stating how much we were down to and she said $2096.21! So, after the $1500 home heating credit, and we paid $200 this past month, they will only be owed $396.21 like I said to her at the courthouse!! Maybe they think we don't keep records or know how to think for ourselves but we do luckily, ha!! Also, getting them to actually correspond and communicate is hard too, if not next to impossible unless their is something they need or want from you!! Honestly, it will be a Blessing when we are done dealing with Orbit Leasing and never again, I assure you, Never!!! Worst company EVER! If I could give zero stars, I would have. They're a bunch of crooks!!! I was leasing a van through them in 2009 and I kept telling them the transmission felt like it was slipping. They kept telling me it was fine. Probably just tweaking it to get it good enough to make it past the warranty. I was later making a drive from Michigan to Reno, NV to visit my best friend and low and behold, at the highest point of elevation during the drive, in the middle of Nowhere, Wyoming THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT!!! Orbits Leasing refused to help me in any way therefore leaving me no choice but to leave my only form of transportation and surrender it. I had to Greyhound and Amtrak back home. Fast forward 3 years and they started garnishing my wages. I was able to call and set up a set amount for them to take instead of garnishing 25% of my disposable income. However, I got laid off. Now.....6 years later, after working at my current job for 2.5 years I get another garnishment letter today. I called and asked if I could just make set payments like before and they told me no. I then looked on my credit report and it shows I have a 0 balance and says it was a "charge off" so basically they're trying to double dip. I've given the garnishment to my lawyer and they will be hearing from him soon. read more

I had a horrible experience with them years ago so just try literally anything else before these guys, please! They low jack your vehicle for literally any possible reason they can come up with. They claimed they couldn't read my bf's signature on his payment so they low jacked us. Then they forgot to process his payment and low jacked us again a couple months later. We ended up breaking our lease because we could not rely on a vehicle that was low jacked every other month. Do a brief google search and you will find plenty of other horror stories. So if you're looking for a reliable and decent company this one probably isn't it! The people running this place probably have little to no actual moral compass. I just want you guys to know how unprofessional you guys are. You tell me in February when i made the initial payment of $600 if i made the other $400 payment the following week, youd turn the car on and let me move February's payment to the end of the lease. When i made that $400 payment, i said id like to save that option for when i really needed it because i thought i could make the payment in a couple weeks. Well i couldnt. And what happened? My arm was twisted until i gave you my rent money to get it back on on March 2nd because you reneged on our deal. Now im in the eviction process and HAVE to be out Monday. But whatever, im not gonna put all the blame on you guys. Then last night, my family and I were moving some of our stuff to my mother in laws house only to discover the car got turned off (which i understand because i didnt call you like i shouldve with everything going on this week) in the final hour of you guys being open (obviously trying to fuck me like you did on March 1st making it too late in the day to do anything about it). It pisses me off you didnt hold your end of the bargain but it REALLY pisses me off you couldnt even turn it on for a second so i could start it and get my family back home. You guys are the definition of poor customer service. Then when i try to talk to a supervisor higher up, you guys hang up on me then didnt answer when i called back with 10 minutes left until 6. Very unprofessional. My payment is "only" 14 days late and you absolutely refuse to work with me. Even after telling me i could defer a payment till the end. So much for being out to help the poor people with shit credit like Car City was made to do. If i could pay my payments 100% on time all the time i wouldve went to a real car lot where im not paying $20000 for an at best $10000 car. So just know you have a VERY UPSET customer. So now I am jeopardizing my job by leaving work to drive to where he is at so that we can make the payment. All of this would have been avoided if they would just simply take a check by phone. I have had good experience with Orbit. They helped me when I was at my lowest. They let me break down my payments so I can pay every week. What I don't like about it, is the GPS. It makes my check engine light come on every now and then. Also they can disable it when they want to. It scares me a lot because it is the only transportation we have so my husband and son can get back and forth to work. Without the car, we will end up in a homeless shelter. read more

Agree with the other gentleman. Orbit Leasing and Car City advertise like they are helping those with poor credit. My 4 wheel drive vehicle purchased in April, did not work properly when winter came. I paid more than I would have for another car, so I would have that option. Not their issue, my repair bill would be around $2000 to fix. I should be happy they financed me. And yes, after 1 day late, the car is shut off. Then they played games before they would turn it back on. Ridiculous. They draw you in with the $1 down payment. They do get you the credit. They are taking advantage. And they will leave you stranded without a thought. It doesn't matter if you are at work trying to pay that payment. And I am paying the same amount for a 2003 vehicle with over 130,000 miles than most pay for a BRAND NEW TRUCK. Thank goodness they've found a way to take advantage of those who have gone through divorce, medical issues, etc. They should be proud of their role in taking advantage of those who already struggle. Please don't lease with Orbit Leasing! These people literally have no soul and are just wrong. My husband was 22, in a tight spot, and leased a 9 year old car (at the time) valued at $11,900, paid over $500/month and over $23,000 before losing his job 3 payments short of paying off the lease (paid 45/48 payments). He called Orbit and advised them to come pick the car up, and gave them our new address. Their representative was very misleading, saying "That sucks! We'll just come pick the car up in about 2 weeks" and nothing else. They got the car no issues and without saying anything, we figured it was just a shot to his credit since they already made their money back twice. We didn't hear anything for 6 months when we were served with a lawsuit. Orbit had not tried to contact us by phone, email, mail, or anything up until that point. In what was served, they attached documents that my husband had supposedly "ignored" of them asking for money that clearly had our prior address on them. I find it so weird because they never had issues picking up the car from the correct address! They blatantly lied in the documents, didn't attach documents that were supposed to be attached, they just went about it in the least ethical way. My husband had to literally be shown documents in the court building because we were given so little. They were asking for not only the $1,000 he had left to pay off, but a whole list of charges of anything they could think of that came out to over $6,000! Not joking, over $6,000 for being $1,400 short! They also stated they "made repairs to it" (requested us pay as well) then auctioned it for $800, which makes no sense to repair a car you're going to auction. On top of that, they requested we pay their $2,000-3,000 lawyer and all court costs. So in total, they wanted $29,000 for a 12 year old car now valued at $3,000. Before seeing the judge, Orbit's lawyer was clearly over-confident and tried to bully my husband into setting up a payment plan, stating "Orbit's not taking any less than $6,000, and that's what they'll get".. "You're going to have to pay it anyway".. and said he wanted 60% of his wages! My husband denied & requested they can talk to the judge. In court, the judge said he read my lease and looked up Orbit's reviews and stated that it was a HORRIBLE lease and that nobody should ever use this company with all they do to their customers. He felt very badly and very clearly showed his disgust for the company by openly stating that my husband was being screwed by them, that they had put everything in order legally to do so, and that morally he shouldn't have to pay anything else since he severely overpaid already. The judge said he understood how wrong it was, but that legally he had to rule in their favor. He dropped the amount that had to be paid from the $6,000 they were asking to $3,000 (the balance of the lease & late fees), and said that Orbit could pay their own lawyer and court costs. These people are absolutely horrible, unprofessional, and heartless. When even a judge is appalled at a case and feels wrong ruling with you, that's pretty sad. We have not only 2 children of our own, but guardianship of my sister's 2 special needs children, and they couldn't care less that they dropped a lawsuit on us right before Christmas. Please, do not lease through Orbit Leasing, it will be the biggest mistake of your life dealing with these people. This is the most greedy, money hungry company I've ever heard of and I will make a point to never have ANYONE I know sign a lease with them. Your staff, management, and owners should be absolutely ashamed to make money off the misfortunes of others. All I have to say is that karma is a very real thing. read more

After my divorce I had no car and no credit. I didn't know what I was going to do. I needed to get back and forth to work before I had no job too. No one would finance me, a buddy suggested Car City. I went in and talked to a sales person who got me into a truck I really liked. It took till the next day and I was driving it home. They ordered my plates and made the process stress free. I got a call from Orbit Leasing the company who financed the truck for me. Talked to a guy who went over everything and their policies, few things I didn't know about when I singed the lease agreement but he was really nice about it and I felt pretty comfortable with everything. I've had my truck about two years now have loved it from day one. Orbit Leasing is really easy to work with for the most part. I have an issue and cant make my payment in full on time and all I do is call up the person I work with Kele and she helps me with arrangements and is really easy to work with. I let her know my situation (which is usually issues with my check and child support) and she works out a plan with me. I don't know why I've read so many bad reviews about Orbit Leasing, I've never had any problems with them. They are pretty straight forward. Kele told me to always keep good open communication with her and I have and my truck has never been turned off by that GPS system they have in there. I recommend Car City to family and friends and don't regret building by credit with them. read more

I purchased a car from them and paid way more than retail, which I knew. However during the buying process heard a few stories about how they stand behind their cars and that previous customers had the engine blow and how they were so nice they put in a new engine for them yada yada. I know of 3 people, including myself, who have had the engines completely die / sieze up all within ONE YEAR of purchasing their cars. They don't fix anything and you are left with a broken vehicle that doesn't work and stuck making payments to them. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM! They are liars and do not stand behind their promises and vehicles. All of these great reviews being left on here, I not truth, they are just customers who were bribed to write a good review within 24 hours of their purchase because that's when they are the most excited and 100% satisfied with the company and then the company gets more business because it looks like they have so many great reviews compared to other dealers in the area. Friendly and helpful customer service. The customer service is great. They have gone above and beyond in this area. That being said, know what you are doing BEFORE you get a vehicle from them (or anyone else for that matter). You WILL pay at least twice the fair market value due to exorbitant interest rates. Car City takes any and all shortcuts when 'fixing up' the cars to be sold. Have any vehicle THOUGHLY inspected by a knowledgeable third party (I know of one car that a large dent was 'fixed' with dry wall tape and bondo to save them time and money). Do your research before you buy any vehicle or sign any lease/purchase agreements. Overall, I have no complaints. I knew what I was getting myself into, I accepted it and, I made sure that my vehicle was one that is going to remain dependable. read more

Orbit Leasing is a BIG JOKE. I pay $417 a month on a loan for a car thats only worth a fraction of what I owe. My wife was a funeral today in Indiana and they turned the car off while she was at the cemetery. I was ONE day late on the payment after paying on this car for over a year. Their customer service department is a big JOKE. My car is currently sitting at a cemetery in Indiana way out in the country. My wife and kids had to rent a hotel room and cannot get back to Michigan until tomarrow after Orbit opens for business. They never called me to discuss this matter. I would recommend to anyone that needs a car. Go someplace else to finance your vehicle needs. I make a very good living as a federal employee but, a BAD mistake was made by thinking I could buy this car and refinance it elsewhere a short time later. NOBODY will refinance this vehicle because it has a GPS immobilizer on the vehicle as well as being a LEASE and Orbit will NOT release the lien. It is their little money maker. The MICHIGAN ATTORNEY GENERAL should close them down. And the better business bureau should be on top of their business practices. ORBIT LEASING is the reason people dig a bigger and bigger financial hole. They prey on the unfortunate. The owner of ORBIT LEASING is in my opinion is a financial dirtbag.
