The helicopter ride was one of the best experiences of my life. Although it was getting dark, we still caught a great sunset view. The city of LA is already beautiful as it is during the night but from a different perspective above the sky, it is breathtaking. "Affordable" helicopter tours that made for a great anniversary celebration! I opted for the 1 hour Sunset Helicopter tour which leaned more on the side of a celebrity home touring helicopter tour which I didn't mind as some of those homes were beautiful and amazing! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of each location that he showed us. There were some elongated periods of silence throughout the tour and downtime as we turned around and went back the same way we came towards Santa Monica. We were told by our tour guide that there was a Dodger's Stadium game that night and we'd get close to the safety radius to see the stadium but sadly it never happened (not sure why). Free complimentary wine was offered and the extra cost for picture and 360 video turned out to be a nice keepsake! I would definitely recommend Orbic Air to other people. I hate to write negative things regarding anyones places of business HOWEVER, this company has treated me so horribly that I felt it only right to warn people!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!! The level of unprofessionalism they have displayed is astonishing. My company booked 3 helicopters to leave from the Los Angeles area to take guest to Santa Barbara for a private event. The private LAUNCH of my company in fact, so you can imagine the importance of the day. On the morning of my event my guest began to arrive at the private airport, and only at that very moment were we told that they only had 2 helicopters available!! They gave us NO forewarning. NEVER called before hand to notify us.. And had ZERO resolution. So, as a result 1/3 of my guest had to stay behind, alone, on the tarmac waiting for one of the helicopter to go and come all the way back for them. It took over an HOUR!!! A few of my guest even went home as a result of the inconvenienced to their time.. and my ENTIRE DAY was ruined. AND TO MAKE IT WORSE... They offered me next to nothing as a means of restitution for their gross oversight. To this day I still have yet to receive any type of refund. They cost me thousands of dollars in damages and refuse to make right their wrong. It's truly sad how they handled this whole situation. BE WARNED! DO NOT TURST! read more

This morning I woke up and got ready to meet my friend for breakfast--a meeting we've been arranging and rearranging for the last several weeks. Our meeting time was 9:15 a.m. and at 8:53 I got a text and voice message from her telling me that breakfast is on hold. "Oh, no," I thought. "Is she flaking again?" Nope! We're going flying!!! Turns out her friends from Belgium want to take their' 'copter for a ride and they're inviting me to come along. Woot! Woot! I've now experienced L.A. by car, foot, bike and helicopter. What a great experience. The team at Orbic were super nice and friendly! While I have no intentions of learning how to fly, I definitely loved being a passenger and Orbic does offer scenic aerial tours starting at $160/person. We had an amazing flight with Brennan on Sunday, January 25th. My boyfriend (now fiancé) planned a surprise proposal at the plateau landing site. Our pilot was very careful not to let on what was happening and even explained away the photographer coming along as "taking photos for a new brochure." The tour was amazing with great views of Santa Monica Pier, the Hollywood sign, and LA skyline. I was surprise about the landing and so taken with the view it took me a second to realize what was happening. Our photographer took some amazing pictures and then both photographer and pilot disappeared for several minutes so we could enjoy a bottle of champagne and have a quiet minute. I would recommend the tour to anyone (unless you're terrified of heights) and the landing tour gives you amazing views. The helicopter is sleek, new and beautiful, and a very nice ride. This was THE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE!!!!! Ever. It is the biggest and most beautiful thrill! An absolute must do for locals and tourists. When looking for a helicopter company to fly with I wanted to make sure I was safe. When doing my research I realized that almost all other helicopter companies are just one pilot and their helicopter working out of a hanger. Seemed a little weird and made me nervous. Then I found Orbic Air! Not only are they all pilots, they are also all flight instructors... So they reaaalllllly know what they are doing. That's right, it's a school, tour and charter company. I've flown with Orbic Air over 5 times for over 6 years and it has gone perfect every single time. Their office is beautiful, and the helicopters are roomy and sleek. There's even a Rolls Royce engine one if you really want to arrive to your destination in style! Arly who works in the front always takes her time to make sure all my flight details are taken care of, so I have nothing to worry about. She makes me feel like I'm a VIP celebrity. David, Merlinda, Brennan and Cherif are my favorite pilots. They not only know a vast information about Los Angeles but they are extremely kind, professional, funny and most important SAFE! They have taken their time to go over all of my questions and they even do a full check of their helicopter before every single flight. If you're a local this is something you MUST do. I've lived in Los Angeles all my life and I still get to see things I have never seen when I go up in the air. This is the closest way to get to the Hollywood sign and to see Downtown Los Angeles, the luxury home areas, and mountains from above. The beach view is incredible, I even saw dolphins!!!!! I also got to see all the celebrity homes of my favorite stars. If you're a tourist to Los Angeles .. There is nothing I recommend more than this! If you really want to see all of Los Angeles, this is the only way! Make sure you bring a camera to get that once in a lifetime shot to show off to all your friends. I did a mountain top landing picnic for my anniversary about 5 years ago and I have not stopped talking about it ever since. The ride is so smooth, and even though I have a fear of heights.. It all went away the minute I saw all the beautiful views. If you're a couple and possibly want to propose or do the most romantic thing ever , a group of friends wanting to see LA, a solo flyer that wants to take some great pictures, or are looking for a perfect gift... I can't recommend this place more! I recently proposed to my girlfriend of ten years, and when you wait that long, it has to be extra special. Thanks to Orbic, everything went absolutely perfect. Since it was a surprise, I needed the cooperation of the crew to make it all happen, and they were nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, they played along in every way. Big thank you to Mike for making everything happen according to plan. Being that this was my first helicopter ride, as well as my first time proposing, I had a lot of questions as to how it would all go down. In a calm and collective fashion, Mike explained all my cues. For example, what he would say when we walked in, what I was gonna do when he asked certain questions, when and where the proposal would actually take place. Everything went fantastic. Everything with this company is easy and smooth; From the booking, to the waivers, to the flight, to the landing, to the ride home talking about what a great time you had. Brennan was another awesome part of our adventure, not only because he was our pilot, but he was just a really genuine dude. That's what I liked most about this place. Everyone just seemed to love what they do. The staff is highly professional. Once cued by Mike to use the restroom, I was able to secretly speak with Brennan and plan out the final details; How I would give him the camera, what he was going to say. He even prayed for me and explained how my life would never be the same. Okay, that last part didn't go down, but he really is a nice guy. From the moment we jumped in the helicopter to the minute we landed, he answered all of our questions, and everything about the ride felt absolutely safe. Never once do you feel that sort of questionable feeling. You could just tell that they know what they're doing. Now if I could describe the set up from the office, to the hangar, to the helicopter in one word, it would be "Bond. James Bond." To describe the actual tour, it's just an amazing experience. I've been on about every method of transportation imaginable. From a scooter to a train, to a boat, to a plane, but there's nothing that beats a helicopter! Leaving Burbank Airport, heading out towards Hollywood, over Beverly Hills, and straight towards Santa Monica, everything was just plain beautiful. The tour I chose was on a mission to Malibu, but there are other tours to choose from. They have a Downtown LA landing that looks really cool, and other different options as well. I needed my tour to land, so I went with the "Mountain Top Landing." Half way through the tour, just as the sun was setting, we landed on top of a mountain at Malibu Creek State Park. The setting was absolutely phenomenal. The timing of the landing was perfect. Brennan offered to take a picture of us, and that meant it was time. I looked out towards the sunset, took my final breath, and boom, brought out the ring. Then, at that very moment, I transformed. I became a different person altogether, something between a Brad Pitt and a Ryan Gosling. Her eyes were utterly drenched. I opened the box, and time stopped. Tears were flying, hugs were being given, my son was celebrating, everything was at peace with the world. Even Brennan shed a tear. Okay, maybe not, but what he did do is record the whole thing for us, and I didn't even ask him to! He was just suppose to take pictures and the dude recorded one of the most memorable moments of my life, and took pictures at the same time! I don't even know what to say about that. Thank you. Thank you and Thank you again. After it was all said and done, they hosted a picnic for us, brought out a bottle of champagne, and another bottle of Apple Cider for my son. Brennan left us in charge of guarding the helicopter, and gave us half an hour of privacy to let it all sink in. Everything was perfect. Upon landing back at the base, we received a complimentary group photo, and Brennan even posed for a picture with my son. To sum it all up, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made, the perfect way to celebrate any occasion, and just an awesome way to have a good time. Stay away from this company!!! I purchased a Malibu Coastline Tour as a Birthday gift for my husband (total of $455 dollars) not knowing his health would become frail and no longer be able to enjoy this tour, I contacted Orbic air in hopes they could cancel and refund the money only to receive short and rude response from the representative. I understand that this is a business and there's cancellation policies I agreed to such as losing 50% of total value if I were to cancel however they wont even offer me a single dollar back. Times are though, Im not the type of person that leaves bad reviews. I rather look the other way and give people the benefit of the doubt but this is the first time a company in which I trsuted and gave my business to won't move a finger to assist their customer. Side note~ i did give them a second chance by reaching out and E-mailing them that I had recently lost my job due to COVID-19, I didn't receive any stimulus check nor receive state help. I work hard for every dollar however there is no job to return to as of today . I was honestly hoping they would at least give me $100 dollars at this point since current outbreak situation isn't really helping current economy and once again their answer was " we pay hundreds of dollars to have our aircrafts just sitting here every day" It must really take someone who's never had to do the though choice of deciding to paying bills or the rent this month to give that type of answer. I trust in god i will overcome this situation which I never though I would find myself in ...and so will other millions of fellow Americans. once we're back on our feet and ready to take adventures such as flying on a helicopter..you can rest assured it won't be with Orbic Air. By far the best group of helicopters and pilots in California. My first experience was a helicopter tour of Los Angeles and it was fun, safe, clean and very well conducted. After that I had to bring my friends to see things like downtown, the beach, nice homes and dodger stadium from the air.
