This was a great tour! Dan was our tour guide and was super fun and knowledgeable. We got to see: Desilu and Paramount Studios, The Hollywood sign up close, Lucille Ball's home, Marilyn Monroe's place with Joe Dimaggio, Blue Jay way and celebrity homes (LeoDicaprio, Keanu Reeves, Rihanna and George Harrison) Pros: 1. Private Tour 2. Free water and some chips/snacks 3. The best way to sight see in the hills and go to places we would never usually go on our own. Our tour-guide was very skilled in driving up in the hills. 4. Nice comfortable SUV/Car Cons: 1. Half of the time is spent driving from one place to the next, so keep that in mind because you are paying for this at an hourly rate. You can talk to your tour guide while driving and learn more about the city which is nice, but keep in mind that you will only be able to see a few things because LA traffic is a bummer. 2. The price is a little steep for what the tour offers. I think for that price, it should include a pickup and drop off in the LA area. We paid $537 ( $179 per hour) + $30 tip for three hours for three people. I personally feel the price should be more like $400 for 3 hours and then we would have been able to add a bigger tip. Colin was our guide and it could not have been a better experience! He was insightful, knowledgeable, and related to both my wife and I, and our teenagers. For example, when he mentioned Classic Hollywood stars like Jimmy Stewart Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, and Clark Gable, my wife and I were impressed while our teenage kids were saying "Who are they?" He then related to them various current YouTubers and pop culture stars where the kids were impressed while my wife and I said, "who are they?" Better take the tour quick because Colin is an aspiring actor and (we think!!) any day now he will be swooped up to a multi-picture deal, or the latest hot television show from Netflix or Hulu. I was unsure if this tour would be worth the premium; it was everything we could have wanted and more. Colin was our guide and he was fantastic in every regard. There was something for everyone in our 3.5 hour 'essential LA' tour. The luxury SUV was impeccable, water/snacks and an iPad with behind the scenes/historical info. This tour was worth every penny and I added a large tip because we were so very pleased. It's very refreshing to find this quality customer service in a time when it has nearly disappeared. Paul was great!! I went as part of a bachlorette party. We had to reschedule last minute and he was so accomodating. Extremely knowledgeable about the area, took us everywhere we wanted to go, showed us several neighborhoods and had interesting facts about celebrities and houses. Loved the iPad and how he was able to show us more detailed views of famous houses when they were blocked by hedges or gates. Had water and snacks for us in the car. We (me, wife and 2 kids - girls aged 12 and 10) wanted to do a tour of Hollywood and also the celeb homes in and around Beverley Hills. After looking for some time online and at the different tour companies, I read some great reviews of Glitterati on Trip Advisor so thought I would give it a try. These tours are private tours, only us and the driver - who was also the tour guide. It was great! The car was a 7 seater, leather seats, blacked out windows and air con (obviously). Colin was our guide, and we had already discussed what we wanted to see with Jimmy at their offices (over email). We had some great pics with the Hollywood sign as well as some good views of the celeb houses - he knew so much. The kids had fun and also there were drinks and snacks in the car for us all. It's not cheap, but it's worth it as you get the tour you want (as well as you can ask them what most other people do) rather than just a general guide. I was recently in LA for a convention and was looking for something different to do with clients rather than dinner. My hotel concierge suggested a tour of LA. I first thought it would be kind of goofy but it ended up being one of the best ideas to do with a client! My clients were thoroughly entertained and I did not have to do the work. Their knowledge of LA and it's history was excellent and they made it really fun. It was money well spent. I would recommend this tour for anyone but especially for anyone having to entertain clients because they will never forget it. On a recent trip to Los Angeles my family and I were interested in a city tour to see the highlights of the city. Glitterati Tours was recommended by our hotel. We booked the car and driver for our group of four which included my 9 year old granddaughter. The reservationist asked what our interests were and assured us that we would see locations that all would enjoy. We had the pleasure of a driver named Colin Koth. He was amazing! He was very informative, gave lots of great stories regarding the history of some of LA's iconic people and places. We were very impressed that he included my granddaughter in conversations and made sure to find things of particular interest to her. We have many great group pictures as Colin proved to be a very proficient photographer. Colin has the unique ability of showing caring, attentiveness and sincere interest in making the experience memorable. He did all of this while maintaining perfect professionalism. Our chauferred SUV-a Denali which was loaded with ice cold water and phenomenal cupcakes, in which we were escorted around Beverly Hills for our custom tour. Our driver was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and it was so great getting the history of the area as we drive past certain iconic landmarks / homes, and he was able to pull over to the side of the road, pick up his iPad and refer to the pics of a bygone-era to back up the info he was sharing. We booked the 3 hour tour. Our guide was Jimmy and he was fabulous! He actually is a native of LA and has worked in show business. He knows a lot of little things that we would not have gotten if we had not gone on a private tour. For example, he showed us the chocolate shop that inspired Lucille Ball to write the episode where she and Ethel are working at the chocolate factory. He was able to take us closer to the Hollywood sign because we were in a private vehicle. Busses are not allowed to go where he took us. He knows where some of the stars live and he will show you, but he does so in a tasteful, respectful manner. We appreciated that. We didn't want to disturb anyone, just wanted to be tourists. He took a number of pictures for us. We appreciated that. I could go on and on saying good things about the experience. He was just great, we enjoyed the tour and lastly-- we felt it was worth every dime. read more

Our tour guide was David. He was excellent. He toured us around in a very comfortable Denali that was clean, smoke-free, and equipped with water and key treats.
