Worst customer service I've ever experienced with an equal amount of professionalism. Ordered two plates of glass to be cut at the beginning of the week, was told they would be done by the next day. Didnt recieve a call the whole day so I contacted them at the end of the day only to recieve a rude response of "If we didnt call you then its not done" so I waited a couple of days to call back and spoke to someone different only to have the same rude response. Didnt recieve the call back until 9 days. For a small business you'd think word of mouth would be a customer service motivator. I needed glass for a broken residential window. I was told my job would be completed within 24 hours. My order was for obscured glass, they delivered clear glass and had to re-order it. It took 8 days for my window to be repaired correctly. Management was non-apologetic, as well as insulting when I questioned the errors and repeated delays. I converted a changing table into an entertainment center and added a door that needed a glass insert. I live in the bay area and was dealing with a very flaky glass shop near where I live and after giving them several tries I gave up on them. I was coming up to Fair Oaks to visit my in-laws and my father in-law suggested I bring the door up and head over to Orangevale Glass. I am glad I did the Service was excellent, they had a wide selection of glass to choose from, and they had a piece of left over glass that fit my entertainment center door. We recently remodeled our master bathroom and needed a new shower surround door. Orangevale Glass has by far the best price in the area, and great customer service. The guy that came out for measurements to do the quote was courteous and respectful of my home. He gave honest input and advice about how we should go about the project. Once tile was in, they came right out for installation and did a great job! I was working on staining my kitchen cabinets at the time, and the younger guy even got up on the ladder and removed a cabinet door I was having trouble getting down. Very sweet! Don't go here. Horrible customer service. Man behind the counter was extremely rude. I ordered a double pane glass for a patio door on a Friday, they said it'd be ready on Tuesday. It's Thursday and they still haven't called. So I drop by to check on it. He asks for my name and I give it to him. He said he can't find an order under that name so I told him my company name and once he found the order he told me "this is for a door, but it's not tempered, I'm not going to give this to you, you have to re order" I told him that I specifically told them it's for a door when I ordered and that I'd like to just get a refund. He got angry and told me to come tomorrow morning to figure it out. I got annoyed and said that this was a waste of my time and he blew up. Became super angry and loud. read more

Recently I went to Orangevale Glass for some advise on my sun screens. They always fit poorly and some were no longer sun reflective. The owner came to my house and we figured out how to customize some of the screens to fit correctly. I gave the owner the screen that was old and didn't reflect anymore. In about three weeks I got all of the new and repaired screens back. Following the instructions the owner of the shop gave me on day one I carefully put up the sun screens. The entire process was easy and everything fit perfectly. I had been to Orangevale Glass in the past for window and sliding door screens. They have always treated me respectfully. The very best in customer service. It is critical to see how a business reacts when something goes wrong. I am so happy with the treatment I got from these people. I special ordered 3 glass shelves over the phone. I was told it would take 3 or 4 days. After a few days I called in to check, and the order hadn't processed, so they contacted the manufacturer to expedite the order for me. Only a day late, I got a call letting me know the glass was ready. I picked up the shelves and brought them home. I found that they were cut 3 inches too short, 35 inches instead of 38. I felt that perhaps there was a mixup between my phone order and the translation to the manufacturer. I left a message. I got a call back today, no finger pointing or shifting the blame, just an apology that there had been a problem and that my corrected order was already in process. Outstanding way to handle it. Hired Orangevale Glass to install 5 retrofit YD vinyl windows and 2 six foot sliding wardrobe doors. In Sept. 2016 two workers arrived in the afternoon to install the windows. The glass and center bars were removed from the old frames and the new windows installed with four screws in each window. We were then informed that the installation couldn't be completed since they didn't have the proper color caulk or interior window trim. Due to their poor planning, we were left with half installed and drafty windows for five days. After complaining, the foreman and his son came on a Monday afternoon to complete the job. The foreman asked me sarcastically what my problem was. I ignored his arrogant attitude and informed him that one of the new windows was missing parts; the anti lift and slide stop were missing and he promised to obtain the parts from the window manufacture. The wardrobe doors were installed on a separate afternoon visit. I observed the bedroom door trim being struck while a worker carried one of the doors in; now I have a chunk of wood missing. On completion I was informed that the doors couldn't close completely, due to the floor molding on the inside of the door jam. I completed the installation myself by notching out the floor molding with an oscillating tool. After many attempts to get the missing window parts, all I get is excuses. In my opinion, the customer service and craftsmanship is disappointing; and I cannot recommend Orangevale Glass. Ron T read more
