Bart from Dick's Rancho Glass on Routier Road stopped by to fix a window on an old aluminum frame. After a challenge removing the frame Bart changed it with no issues. He was a true professional who knew what he was doing and was also courteous. Of the many contractors that had contacted for this project, I chose Dick's and am glad I did. They did everything they promised and have good people working for them. From Chontae who I had spoken with on the phone multiple times to Dave, to Bart they were all great. They have earned my business the next time I need similar work done and I definitely recommend them. read more

My kitchen window began cracking and started fogging up a few years ago, which became progressively worse. Never did I think that trying to get a reputable window company to recognize what needs to be done, turn into a hard thing to come by! We tried to have 3 other companies come out to measure and give an estimate. Each time, I get an acceptable bid, only to result that when they returned to install, they didn't take into consideration that the whole window needed to be retrofitted, not just replacing the window pane! Finally, I was referred to Dick's Rancho Glass! They were completely knowledgeable and professional from beginning to end! Ashley was very helpful on the phone and via email communication. When the estimator and installer came to my house, he noticed that my particular window was built below my kitchen counter top. The window track was too low to allow a simple replacement of the glass. He understood that the whole window had to be completely changed and made a bit smaller and higher above the counter. Hence, "retrofitted". When the day arrived for the installation process, the two man team immediately got started. I felt very comfortable that they knew their craft. Even when I said I was a little nervous about having the work done, one of the guys joked, "we're nervous too! We haven't done this kind of window before! I hope it doesn't leak!" Ha! Ha! After a few hours, they finished with an amazingly clean job! My bright and shiny new window looked perfect in the kitchen! I couldn't be happier! I didn't realize how much I was missing out watching mother nature in action in my own backyard! Later, I found out that my mom and dad had them replace their living room window many years ago when someone attempted to break in! Yes, the whole family highly recommends Dick's Rancho Glass! read more

I think we've used Dick's Rancho Glass for at least 40 years! The general contracting construction company I worked with starting in 1989 have been using their services to fix broken windows, screens, and repair windows and rolling closet doors. For about 10 years, we have used them to install Shower Doors. Most recently, Ian and Gerardo came out to replace several failed windows at my own home. They replaced the glass, some screens, and a couple of window balancers. Boy with a difference it makes to have windows that work correctly! Ian and Gerardo were very respectful of our furnishings and our Floor Coverings all while trying to work around three busy toddlers I definitely won't hesitate to give them a call for any future issues I have. read more

We were looking for a custom drip rail for our shower door. The manufacture only sells to company but gave a list of companies in our area that may sell it. Dick's Ranch Glass responded and we were able to pick it up. Not only was the price reasonable but they provided additional information about my shower door that I had no idea about. Great value and amazing customer service!!! read more

Just needed a cheap window glass cut to size double strength glass, they told me almost 200$ and they can't guarantee it'll fit - I took the frame to them for this also. I'd recommend planning ahead because I took it to another shop they did it perfect and charged me 40$ only difference is I waited a couple days. read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Dick's Rancho Glass. We did a full house remodel our entire home in Elk Grove, including all new custom glass showers, and we were extremely pleased with Dick's. The end product is gorgeous and the price was very reasonable. Bill and Steve were our main points of contact and their customer service was fantastic! Always responded quickly and no high-pressure sales tactics. My wife and I were talking and agreed that, of all the many contractors we hired to do various different aspects of the remodel, Dick's Rancho Glass was the best! We liked them so much we also asked them to put in all new screens for the house and they are perfect. A++++ and "10 out of 10" for this company! read more

I was a little skeptical, based on some of the recent reviews, but they were referred by a different company that didn't cover my area and had fairly quick availability. They arrived earlier than the initially scheduled timeframe but called to give a heads up, and were incredibly quick and professional in their work, without trying to unnecessarily upsell me. Now my sliding glass door has a new track and rollers, and I no longer get a workout just from opening and closing the door! read more

I needed a shower enclosure installed where a wall which one panel was to be up against had a bow that was not apparent to the naked eye. One glass company declined to do the work, but Dick's saved the day. Iian and his helpers measured once and measured twice and eventually had the panel of glass cut to perfectly nest agains the wall. They stuck with me and the job turned out beautifully. I will never use any other glass company. They are the best. read more

Dicks Rancho Glass is the place to use for anything glass related. Period! We have used them for 3 separate shower enclosures - all frameless glass, plus kitchen cabinet glass inserts and coffee table glass/ counter glass. Sam, the tech / installer, is the best. He is awesome at his craft and very personable. You definitely want a top notch professional installing, especially after a beautiful new remodel. The glass is the last piece of the process and it has to be right in one shot. No room for error. Thank you so much. We are very happy,... Again. read more

Definitely a solid 4 I had them replace a broken window. Everything went well just as expected. I just wish they would have told me or asked me about the rubber seal. The seal is very old and although it was reusable, it's falling apart. If I had known, I would have purchased new seals and would not have had them put the old seals back. I would still use their services. read more

Excellent service. I called to schedule an appointment for shower door hinge replacements. My clients bought a home recently, and the sellers broke the hinges of the shower door on moving day - my luck. I called around trying to find out which type of hinges they were, and I finally got in touch with Dick's Rancho Glass. The lady on the phone allowed me to text some photos of the current hinges, and she instantly knew what type they were. They gave me a window between 1-4pm, and she said they would call me when they were on their way. Sure enough, I got a call and they were right on time and got there around 1pm. The gentlemen took a look at the door, and were finished within 15 minutes. It was a little on the pricier side to replace ($300), but at least I have the peace-of-mind in knowing who to call for broken shower hinges in that neighborhood, and the familiarity of the job. read more

We have a 30 year old front window that had developed a crack in one of the side sliders. A contractor came out to look at it and said I could either replace the entire window or take the cracked slider to Dick's Rancho Glass. As it was the cheaper option, I took it to Dick's. When the window was originally installed, it was state-of-the-art. Which means that better products have been introduced since then. The person who helped me at Dick's pointed out the best replacement for the old glass . She even tried to match the tinting. The glass had to be ordered with a target delivery date of five days. Exactly five days later, they called me that it was in. The next day, I went in and they installed the new glass in under an hour. Side note: Dick's Rancho Glass may not be the cheapest vendor out there, but you get what you pay for. They didn't try to talk me into replacing the entire window and they gave me less expensive options. I appreciate being treated as a potential return customer and not just someone to get out of their business. read more

Dicks Rancho Glass is excellent! Great customer service. I utilized their services to repair a sliding glass patio door. They took the information over the phone and were able to give me a very reasonable estimate on the cost. We scheduled a day and timeframe for the repair. I was so happy the patio door did not have to be replaced. Thank you to the two technicians who privided the service! They were friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions. We needed to have quite a few windows re-glassed on our home due to the seals going bad and deposits left inside the panes. We had quite a few questions about the repairs which were all answered and explained in detail. The office people stayed in contact and kept us updated on the repair date. This company, Dick's Rancho Glass works with you. The technicians sent out consisted of Cameron, AJ, Brandon and Santino, who were very professional and on time. The quality of work this crew performed was second to none with the whole project going smoothly without a hitch. All technicians were very polite to the point we fed them lunch. I used them to replace window on my duplex. I sent them a picture of exact window so there is no mistake as it showed tree right next to window. They changed window on the wrong unit. We replaced all of our windows in 2020. Roughly half were installed by another Sacramento window company and half by Dick's Rancho Glass. Prices were roughly the same, but Dick's was the clear winner for a couple of reasons. First, the installer himself (Casey) and his assistant A.J. - not a salesman - came out to measure the windows. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with no sales pressure. Their measurements were precise, and on installation day they removed the interior wood trim from our old 1941 windows, cleaned it up on site, and replaced it after installation, rather than trimming the new windows with thin plastic strips as the other company did. The difference is striking. Bonus: it's a local family-owned company. Highly recommended. read more

Phillip and Bart from Dick's Rancho Glass just replaced our sliding patio door. Starting the season with a beautiful view of the outdoors. Old door was supposed to last a lifetime, but the seal failed and glass became cloudy. Warranties are only as good as the firm that offers them. The old company that we chose simply without research is defunct. We can always rely on Dick's Rancho Glass to help us solve our problems. Tyler and Brendan replaced my broken dual pane window within two weeks of having it measured and obtaining a quote. A very reasonable quote. I called several other places and I decided to go with Dick's. The initial visit was professional and efficient. Tyler and Brendan showed up after confirming a good day to return and gave me a call prior to the appointment that day. Very polite and respectful. I couldn't even tell that I have a new window now because it looks so good. They were in and out within a half hour. I couldn't be happier and I am so pleased with the work. While they were here they also measured my windows for screens. Looking forward to having those replaced as well. I will never go anywhere else for my glass or screen needs. I hired Dick's Rancho Glass to replace my sliding glass door and one window in a bathroom. I spoke with Bill initially on the phone, he was extremely helpful, and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The exterior of my house is stucco, with a top bump out stucco feature; the recommendation was to provide a trim around the new door, in order to avoid the cost of stucco work. My main concern was making sure the end result looked great, and was done right. The day of the install, Casey installed the door, with an assistant. Casey was very focused, and takes pride in his work. The final product looked great, top notch. Overall very happy. read more
